Just what I needed

This was the perfect compact battery pack for my gen 3. Quickly snapped it together and within a few moments I was able to listen to music while relaxing in my backyard, as well as transport it easily around the house. Good things come in small packages, and this was one of them.

It works/serves purpose

besides working as promised, it's easy to move from place to place with same clarity.

Helps me use the dot for multiple rooms ! Wonderful

Simple in design ( good) and useful . No extra wires or anything complicated. Just slide into the battery pack and use your own charger cable . Now I can move my dot from room to room with out waiting for it to power up each time . I am very happy with it but I did not test how long the battery last yet .

Works great!

This item works great and the device slips securely into the battery pack giving it portability. The portability allows me to take it outside to listen to my music.

The manufacturer of this device stands 100% behind their product. When I first bought this device - it failed right out of the box and so did its immediate replacement. I reached out to the firm and they 100% STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. They acknowledged that they improved their product and followed up sending me one for free. It worked perfectly out of the box. SO IF you buy this device and expereince any issues the manufacturer will honor your purchase and will make it right for you. Five star rating because of the exceptional customer service, and a sincere effort to improve upon their product. I had earlier reviewed this item poorly but now give it a 5star because of the stellar customer service. DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE, DO NOT DO IT!! Before the device arrived I received a note from the manufacturer telling me the steps to take if the device does not work! Yep it arrived and indeed DID NOT work. I called and had a 1.5 hour ordeal dealing with Amazon. [The call to Amazon - the quality of the VOIP was so bad I was listening to half a dozen conversations in addition to mine, making the call very difficult and why it took so long.] TO Amazon's credit they were willing to immediately replace the device but all they wanted to do was having another one sent. I have no faith the device will ever work...

Excellent! Just received it and works as advertised. Will buy again and strongly recommend to anyone.

Works quite well

I originally tried a different company's battery base because I liked their styling - it basically just made the dot look taller, so it was very unobtrusive. Problem is, it would cut out occasionally whenever you raised the volume past around seven. No amount of styling makes up for such a problem! So then I tried this one. It's still fairly unobtrusive, since it's round, and the sound is better because the first one actually enclosed the speaker in a mesh-like cover designed to look like the dot's own speaker cover, but that made it muffle the sound very slightly. I have not been using this new one long, but I did do a full volume test and it didn't cut out at all! Full volume did seem to drain the battery pretty quick though, so battery life may not be as good as other devices. But I very rarely listen at top volume. I haven't yet tested letting the battery get low and trying full volume again, so once I do that I'll update this review with results. But for now, this little device works where another brand didn't, doesn't affect the sound at all, and looks pretty good!

Fills a needed niche for Amazon devices

Our primary sitting area on summer afternoons is in the shady rear of our yard. We like to listen to music but the distance between our plugged in Dot and our Bluetooth speakers was too great for consistent linkage. With the new Dot, equipped with the battery, placed on the first patio provides trouble free music and works well with the Alexa remote. We have only had the battery pack for a few weeks but so far it is excellent and easy to attach, charge and use.

Great supplemental device for my Echo

I love the Echo Dot battery base! It’s a great addition to the Echo device as it allows the speaker to be wireless. Now I can take my echo with me around the house, on the patio, etc. without having to worry about plugging and unplugging the cord. I initially had some trouble getting the battery connected to my echo as was stated in another review. The blue lights on the base would come on but it didn’t seem to power the echo. After some troubleshooting, I just needed to press a little harder to make sure the echo securely connected to the base. Then, it worked exactly as it should. I would highly recommend this battery base for those who want to be mobile with their echo dot speaker.

Love it so much! I live in an apartment with not so many outlets for today's technology...especially in the bedroom, so this is perfect. I do have an echo show in the bedroom but I use this for streaming the brown noise skill at night because I can stick it under my bed to drown out my neighbors. I sleep like a baby! Love it! I
