Excellent Value

Great value. When the box first came I was surprised how small it was. It was about the same size as a single traditional shop light. When I opened it I was again surprised and concerned about the quality. They are very light and somewhat flexible. Along with the minimal design, I was afraid they would break easily. Once I started installing them and they held up to the minor bumping and bending, I was more impressed. I used the flush mount clips and they install easily. The daisy chaining plugs allowed me to replace multiple light switches with just one. I would recommend replacing the screws as they are pretty low quality. They will do the job but I overtightened one screw and it snapped. I used drywall screws. Once they were installed and on I felt like I had a new garage. They are nice and bright. The lack of ballasts allow the light to spread and I can see corners and previous dark spots easily. I have a typical 2 car garage which had 4 traditional shop lights. These lights feel twice as bright and removing the old hanging fixtures makes it feel so much bigger. I will likely buy more for other places.

Great lights for the money

I installed these lights (4 of them) in my garage last weekend and the are very bright - completely illuminating the entire space. They are plastic tubes (housing the LEDs), which I like, because I was always concerned I would break my fluorescent tubes with a ladder or something. Now I don't have to worry about that. At worst I'll dent the plastic if I bang into them. These lights are simple to install with the small hooks and chains that are provided. This is a one-person installation job being that they are 4 foot long and very lightweight. Install the hooks, connect the chains, hook one side and then the other. Done. Being able to daisy-chain the lights is an added bonus. If you need the lights in close proximity (~6 feet or less) you can connect one to the next, eliminating the need for additional outlets, etc. If these lights fail before their time I will update this review. As for now my overall experience is excellent. Summary: Lightweight and very bright! Buy them.

EZ Bright Cheap Shop Lights

Simply put, I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t witnessed it myself. The lights are sooo......easy to install with options of included hanger hardware. Fastened mine with zip strips and gorilla tape. So light in weight, don’t let that fool ya. They are brighter than imaginable. Plug and play! So thankful I purchased these.

Worth every single penny!!!!

I have a 299 Sq Foot garage, and the lighting is HORRIBLE in it. I purchased these lights thinking that these 4 would better illuminate my work space. I installed two of them, and then turned it on to see how good/bad the lighting is. They are very light weight, maybe a bit flimsy in your hand, but nice and rugged when installed on the ceiling (I wall mounted mine flush on the ceiling). I then turned them on to see how good/bad they were. To my amazement, they were so bright, that I only installed two, vs the purchased four. I love the fact that they have an on/off switch (which I don't use, but it's nice to have). The light is true white (not blue or yellow). Does exactly what I need it to do). I judge things on the "bang for the buck" so to speak. And with these lights, you really get what you paid for, and much more...

Excellent light quality.

I put four of these in my 12 x 16 shed/workshop. It is plenty bright enough for working on projects, soldering, woodworking, etc. Very good white light with no harsh or bright spots. The diffusers are very effective at dispersing the LED light so you don't get hot spots. Can't beat the price. They are extremely light weight, to the extent they feel flimsy and cheap but I'm accustomed to stamped steel florescent lights with heavy ballasts. There's nothing to these but don't let it fool you. They are good bright lights.

Bright inexpensive light

Lights are of very basic construction, the thin plastic tubes are misshapen and flimsy. Two of the lights have cracks and dents in the tubes. They still receive five stars because they are easy to install, bright, easily connected, and secure. Would like to get two replacements to have a complete set without damage, but I can live with what I got.

WOW!!!!!

What a difference a light makes, you can now actually see the garage, this has forced me to clean it up (truly a bummer, but so necessary). These lights are incredible, they are light weight, adaptable for hanging, brighter than sunlight in my enclosed area, clutter free (unlike florescent lights that have the ballast and other baggage), lights 360 degrees around, since there is no light enclosure.... I agree with the other reviewer on the provided ceiling hooks stripping or breaking, found that I was better off using of all things, cup hooks (sturdy ones). Even drilling a pilot hole for the ceiling hooks they did not work (most of the wood in our garages is old dry wood, tougher than all get out to get a screw into), they still stripped and broke off. Try some heavy duty cup hooks to hang these from, works like a charm. Other than that, hanging these things is a snap, ladder, drill, pull down the old lights, put up the new in their place (I did not use the nails that were used to hang the florescent lights that I took down, I removed those), screw in the cup hooks and voila, hang the new light, plug in. Brilliance reigns..... The florescent lights are gone, given away to a happy soul who was going to use them in his garage. ****I will update in about a year or so on their performance, so far even in very cold conditions they are working with no reduction in brightness, they light up instantly when turned on....

Cheap feeling, but work!

They definitely won't last if you plan on moving them around a bunch, but once you get them in place they are super bright! I installed 2 in my garage. They are Very lightweight. Have the look of real bulbs, but don't have an actual top to them. which makes them look funky, but doesn't effect the overall productivity of them because they don't shine upwards unlike other bulbs that shoot light in all directions and require a reflector. Hung from dry wall very easy. Installed in about 5 minutes each. The chain is only about a foot so they don't hang super low, the cord about 4 feet so you can chain pretty far away if necessary They aren't super high quality, but you're getting a product that works for the price. I can't complain.

Holy cow

These are amazing. If I had more room in my shop I would get more. They are no-nonsense easy to install and instant light. What I really like is they are LED so they can kind of take a beating. I dropped one and it didn't damage it at all, whereas with a fluorescent it would have shattered. I got my dad some and he can't believe how great they are. He's getting 4 more for his garage. I wish the pigtails were longer because you are kind of limited either by where an outlet is, or how close you are to another one of these lights.

Great lights

I purchased these for my wood shop. I hate seeing shadows while I'm cutting wood and my fingers are near by. However after ordering them my 87 y/o mother in law complained about the the light in her serving room. So when the lights I ordered arrived I reverted them to my mother in laws sawing world. The lights installed with ease replacing four flourecences lights fixtures with two twin LED light fixtures. Halve the bulbs and twice the light. Mom is happy and I retrieved favorite son in-law status. The other two fixture were placed in the laundry area with similar reesults. I will now order more for my shop.
