Best batteries for an Xbox One controller!

I have tried many brands of rechargeable batteries trying to find the longest lasting...finally I found it! These 2800mah Powerowls are the answer I have been looking for! They have outperformed the big name brands by leaps and bounds and glad I discovered them! I highly recommend for any heavy use electronics! Well worth the price I'll definitely purchase again.

At first I was skeptical if the batteries were truly high capacity. I tested them against my 2000mAh amazonbasics AA's and they blew them out the water. I tested each battery in an AA flashlight and the POWEROWL AA produced a slightly brighter beam and lasted a little over two hours before it died while the amazonbasics battery lasted just under one and a half hours before dying. So if you are buying these for a flashlight I highly recommend them they work great and look great. The charger is nice too it charges up to 8 AA/AAA batteries at a time and you don't have to put them in pairs it can charge a single battery for example. I tested the charger out a handful of times before posting this review and it's working great. It's not the fastest charger but it hasn't overcharged any of my batteries so I can just leave them in overnight to charge fully without worrying about damaging them. Just pop them out in the morning and you are ready to go. The indicator late will switch from red to green when they are fully charged. Also I almost forgot another thing that's nice is all of these batteries have a flat bottom. Some of my amazonbasics batteries have a curved bottom and they will not work with a flashlight that has a flat connection at the tailcap (Energizer 1200lm flashlight for example). I posted a picture of the bottom of the Amazon battery to detail what I'm referring to.

I got this as a dedicated recharge for them. I can cycle between this and a different brand I have or just leave them in there. I do wish this included a wall socket for some reason is missing and had to dig up. I like it comes in a bundle and precharged ready to use with each battery the large battery capacity compared to others out there. Overall for the price, large capacity batteries included, and reliability I would recommend the item

Versatile & Lightweight

Finally revisited rechargeable batteries to power the headlamps, flashlights, motion sensor lights and radios of my mobile life and opted for Power0wl AAs, AAAs and USB Charger based on specs, price and reviews. Batteries and charger arrived rapidly, well-packaged and sufficiently charged to work right out of the box. I loaded the charger and had all 16 batteries topped off in less than an hour. 8-bay Charger works with any combination and number of the batteries. The USB charger works well with my solar system, laptops and other power bricks. My devices seem to love the batteries. After nearly a week of heavy use, my SW/AIR/WX portable radio has yet to put a significant dent in the first pair of AAs. Customer service is also responsive and rapid. I needed assist to register for the free 6-month extended warranty (for 18-month total). I messaged Powerowl before I went to sleep and had resolution by the time I woke up next morning. Clara had me all set up. I’d like to think I won’t need to exercise the warranty, but always a good feeling knowing a company values great customer service as much as it does its products.

Works as described

The item arrived neatly packaged in a small plain brown box. Charger, USB cable and 8 NiMH 2800mAh batteries. As the item's description states, no 120V USB wall adapter/charger is included and that's fine as I already own numerous ones. The batteries were packed in tight-fitting, sturdy shrink packs of 4 each, not loose. Setup and charging were very simple and quick. Insert the 8 batteries into the charger's receptacles, connect the USB cable to the charger and then plug it in to a 5V-2.4A USB power port. I used my smart phone's 5V wall adapter/charger. Charging the 8 batteries took all of 2 hours. This is very compact AA battery charger that will charge any number of NiMH batteries. So far, I'm very impressed with the item.

Great value

I used these batteries on my Senheisser G3, which requires 1.5V. Even with the warning about not using it on equipment that requires 1.5V. I took a chance anyways. It's been working as expected. The battery indicator on the lav has three bars. It does drain faster, but it's not too bad. If I use a regular non-rechargeable battery, it would take me about 4 hours for the battery indicator to go from 1 bars. Therefore, it would take me about 8 hours a day to go through a fresh set of batteries, sometimes longer. With these rechargeables, it takes about 15 minutes for it to go from 3 bars to 2 bars, but after 2 hours, it's still on 2 bars. I have not used it all day yet so I don't know how long it will take for it to drain all the way down. For my purpose, these are great. With 8 batteries, I never have to worry about running out of batteries. It takes less than an hour to fully charge them so I just keep them plugged in. Works great for my purpose, but if you need it to last longer, I would recommend rechargeable batteries that are 1.5V.

Don't think you can get better with this!

I got seriously tired of constantly having to change the batteries of my VR controllers and losing so I decided to get some rechargeable batteries to help make things more convenient, and it certainly is! The batteries last a while, they work really well, and I also like the way they look. :) Actually getting into the product review, I love the fact that it comes with a charging bay! The batteries themselves last for a good amount of time before they need to be recharged. One slight gripe I have is the amount of time it takes to charge, but I'm not too bothered, besides I feel like it does make sense. The build quality charging bay is pretty good! The light indicators are a nice touch so you know when they're still charging, if they're done, or even if something is wrong with it! In conclusion, the batteries and the bay are really good, it's super convenient and just makes things easier! Definitely recommended.

I would buy this charger again

If you have Ni-MH Ni-CD, AA and/or AAA this will charge them. It's simple, and cheap for charging (8) batteries at one time. The batteries charge fast, at least as fast as any other charger I have had. I think you save a lot of money because it is just the charger and a USB cable you are purchasing. It doesn't come with a wall plug. I have so many wall plugs anyway. I can use one of them (outlet to USB plug), or my computer USB, or I also have an phone charger that also has a USB outlet. It works with this charger too. Anyway,

Pleasantly Surprised

I bought the 8-bay charger + 8 AA batteries kit and an additional 12 batteries (all 2800 mAh) and they're working great. I use the batteries in high-drain devices, such as 1000 lm flashlights, electric motors & solenoids, camera flash, and other devices. These batteries deliver the power I need and last a long time. I was worried that the charger would not be able to deliver the power needed, but am happy to report that even when all 8 batteries are mostly drained, that they're fully charged in the morning when I need them again. FYI - I'm using my cell phone's 3A charger. The batteries are slightly warm after charging. At 250mAh per cell charge rate, this equals about 10 hours to charge a nearly depleted battery. Overall, completely satisfied.
