Ultimately, I was unable to get output from the left channel. No, the converter was not defective... my ol’ school Sony TA-E9000ES processor has a mind of its own. But, first, let’s talk about this lil’ converter. Its build quality is impeccable. The optical, RCA and USB port(s) all offered the right amount of friction. Had no issues maintaining plug connectivity. I however, elected to use the Sony LED TV’s USB to (auto on-off) power the device, so I used my own USB cable. The added optical cable was an unexpected surprise, even though my go to optical is AudioQuest. I was looking for this very device, so I could integrate my Musical Fidelity M1DAC to my ol’ school gear. I tried installing this converter/M1DAC after and before the E9000ES processor (using optical and coaxial) and I could only get (R) channel output. Apparently, there’s no way to bypass the E9000ES’s internal DAC in favor of the superior M1DAC. Sadly, I had to initiate a return. Total bummer as I really wanted to run my M1DAC with my ATVG3. Oh well... my ol’ school system still sounds incredible (the police have already been over to issue me a formal warning 🙄). Just frustrated that I’m stuck with the E9000ES’s internal DAC when the M1DAC is the preferred way to go. PS: the install is not completed. Will wall hang the Sony LED TV, install glass shelving for the other components, and then perform cable management. This has been a slow install as everyone over here is down for the past 2 weeks with influenza B 🤕

I used it to connect my sound bar to my TV. Used a 3.5 aux cord to connect it to the TV. Works great, no noise, audio still plays in stereo.

This ADC works perfectly with no noticeable sound degradation. I use it to convert an analog source to digital-optical in order to run it into my optical selector box, which I think is better than selecting the sound source after everything is converted to analog, because my other sources start out as digital. The product review asks me to rate the "volume control", but this unit has no volume control, so that's why I put just one star for that.

Purchased this converter to play my analog record player thought my Digital new Bose soundbar 700. My record player has a built-in phono preamp and was very easy to connect this converter. I have this running through the optical cable on the soundbar, you just need to make sure you switch the speaker to the line that it is plugged into. The sound quality is amazing! So glad I came across this converter!

My old Yamaha Soundbar was collecting dust, then I found this device. Converts it to a blutooth item!

The converter is built solid, all connections are high quality, but what isn't is the power adapter: 3.5 mm plug to USB, USB to 110 two-prong plug. I suppose it would be ok if using it on the desktop, but I'm using it with my AV receiver. The sound quality is good overall the purchase was worth it.

So far so good. I've had this item installed and playing for two days.It seem to be working well with my Mackintosh MA6200 Intergrated amp.The sound quality is good. Time will tell how good it is,but for now i am happy.

easy to setup. Just know which way you need to convert. I mistakenly ordered a digital to analog converter thinking it was what I needed. It didn't work, after thinking through the issue, I realized I needed an analog out to digital in converter. My bad, but just be aware, they are different. this one was plug and play, works great so far.

This unit works very well and is an excellent value. It comes with a mini-earphone cable, but I needed RCA cables for my application. I had some on hand, so it was no big deal. If you need to convert a TV with no digital output from analog to digital, this works well and is a snap to install. It comes with everything you need for most applications.

Works great so far for connecting my Bluetooth receiver to my Schiit Modi 3 DAC. Doesn’t introduce any noise.
