Excellent Investment, especially with non-social media attached husband...

The Nix was a great way for my non-social media attached husband to see the photos and videos my daughter and son were posting. They simply send the photos to the Nix email address and the pictures show up on our screen. I especially love the ability to adjust the number of pictures that get shown (latest 100, 200, 500, 1000 or all). I'll often reset it to 100 so my husband will see all the recent photos sent. It has a large capacity and even pictures emailed can have captions. Date and time can be shown on the screen as well -- small added benefit but still a nice feature. The remote is convenient. Motion detection means the frame isn't on all the time and the sound from videos won't wake us up at night (You don't want to put this anywhere near where you sleep as it will wake up anytime it senses movement. We have it in our kitchen.). Easy to set up and the Nix having its own email address has simplified our ability to keep the pictures up-to-date. I don't know why anyone would choose any other smartframe. This is simply the best.

I ordered the previous version of the Nix's 13" and wasn't thrilled with the display. It was an LCD like monitors from 10 years ago. After doing a bunch of research and digging around, I found this one and ordered to compare. Night and day difference (keep in mind, I'm a photographer). It seems to be a great purchase so far. FWIW, customer support has been excellent up to this point! Highly recommended.

Perfect for home-bound grandmother

Grandmother was delighted seeing current pictures from kids and grandchildren. Grandkids really enjoy sending current photos. it helps all communicate and stay in closer touch in our spread out world.

Best Gift Ever!

I have now purchased my 6th digital frame. I have given them to each of my children's families and they are a prized possession. Each family has commented that it is a wonderful gift to be able to see daily those they love as well as remind themselves of the many choice experiences they have enjoyed in life. The frames are very intuitive but this time I wanted to give one as a gift to my 90 year old father that was already full of pictures but also wanted him to be able to control it after the gift was given. I didn't know how to do this but the tech support from Nixplay was incredible. Tom helped me set it up with clear directions and stayed with me until I was able to do it. The service was incredible. Not only was I able to get through to them easily but Tom talked me carefully through each step. I would highly recommend this as a gift to yourself as well as those you love. Thanks TOM!

This fame makes it easy to share photos from my phone

I really like this frame. The resolution is great. It also makes it very easy to quickly share photos from my phone that I have locally or in an account. I was also able to share this with my wife so she can do the same. I really think I will be getting these for Christmas gifts this year.

LOVE LOVE LOVE My Nixplay Frame!!! Gift for my brother.

This is my 3rd frame I’ve bought, which I’m giving to my brother for Christmas. My mom was an amateur photographer, and when she passed away in 2017, I was left with close to 2000 pictures that she had taken over the years (prints, not digital). My brother wanted digital copies of the pictures as well. Instead of putting the images onto a disk and giving it to him, I loaded all of the images to the Nixplay app and will be sharing all of my moms photography images with him through the frame. Best part, I can continually add images down the line as I digitize the. I can’t wait for him to open this and see all of the photos she’s taken while we were growing up.

I love it - and it’s perfect!!!!! (My third frame)

I was so super skeptical about ordering a frame online instead of being able to see it in person.. however this is exactly what I was looking for. It’s the perfect size and you can position it either vertical or horizontal - most importantly, it works perfect with your iPhone. It’s also not too big or too small - it’s the right size for my desk. The only delay was the initial startup - there were several updates needed before I was able to pair with my phone - nothing wrong with the updates but it seemed to have to cycle through about the restarts before it was ready. Pictures look great - lots of options to choose from. I downloaded roughly 200 photos and they consumed 8% of storage - once you make a playlist and the pics are on the frame, it’s so super easy to add to or delete. There is no delay with downloaded pics at all. Remote controls are easily accessed via the app or magnetized remote control that sticks to the back of the frame. Genius! It had been many years since I had purchased a digital photo frame, I’m so happy to report this one is great. Highly recommend!!!

Bought for Grandma

Set up was fairly easy for this 65 yr old female. I bought it for my 90 yr old mom who lives out of state. I think she will love it, she is getting it for Christmas. The whole family can send her pictures. She has mild dementia so there isn't a whole lot she can do but she will love looking at the pictures her children and grandchildren send her. I like that you can write captions, although I'm worried they may be too small and light for her to read. There should be an option for large or small captions, and black or white. I'll try to update review after she's had it a while.

Works Well With Google Photos ALbums

We bought this to make Google Photos Albums available easily to my parents. This took only a couple of minutes to configure, and then a bit longer to make the initial download from Google Photos (2500 pics). For our application we configured three albums to sync to the display. The display auto updates with new pictures regularly. It works very well. The pictures are crisp.
