  • Note: ① The dehumidifier works best when room temperatures above 59°F and relative humidity of 80%.
  • Note: ② If the air temperature is below 59℉ (15 ℃), the effect of dehumidification is not obvious. And it will NOT work below 41°F (5 ℃).
  • Note: ③ If the humidity is less than 60%, the dehumidifier usually does not remove 12oz (350ml) a day.
  • Note: ④ When you run the dehumidifier in winter, please make sure that the room has enough warmth, which can help the dehumidifier work better. Avoid frosting inside the dehumidifier due to low temperature and affecting the dehumidification effect.

(Caveat: I am writing this just about 5 hours after getting this and plugging it in.) I live in an extremely humid climate and in the summer, it's almost unbearable. Whenever the temp goes above 70 degrees, it feels muggy and uncomfortable. I run my AC but it doesn't seem to do much unless I am sitting near it. I was doing an online search to see if there was a reason for this and ran across a suggestion about lowering the humidity. Maybe I'm stupid but I never thought of this. I moved here from Alaska and never even HAD or needed airconditioning. I started searching for a dehumidifier that was affordable, had good reviews, and would cover enough space. I chose this one because it ticked all the boxes but I was taking a chance & planned to return it after a few days if it didn't help. Well... This thing is freaking amazing and if it keeps working the way it did for the first 3 hours, I will be buying one for the kitchen and a smaller one for the bathroom. Spending around $100 to $150 once is not bad when it saves me money on my utilities every month. Also, I understand that dehumidifying helps keep the air cleaner. That makes sense because of mold and spores from dampness. I just wasn't sure what size dehumidifier I needed for my home. I have a bedroom that is "large" for an apartment; a small living room, a medium-size bathroom, and a tiny kitchen. The living room, entry, and kitchen are an open floor plan. I was too lazy to pull out my lease to get the square footage so I took a chance that this device (meant for 185 square feet) would at least be enough for the bedroom. That is the hottest room in the apartment and it is where I want to be most comfortable for sleeping purposes. Even with my window open at night and with the ceiling and floor fans going full blast, I always feel like I having menopausal night sweats. During the day, I spend a lot of time in the bedroom because it's where my writing desk is. It's also the furthest away from where the AC is in the living room. I had planned to write a review after using this for a few days (which is when I would be deciding to keep or return it), but the relief it provides is so immediate that I had to tell everyone asap. I turned this on for the first time at 11:40 am and ran it until 2:30 pm. The bedroom was so much cooler and more comfortable that I wanted to see how much water had accumulated in the machine. It was well about a tablespoon. To be honest, I still have the bedroom window and the bedroom door opened. I am hoping that if it works this well with those factors that when I close the room tonight, I will get even more relief. I can't wait and will do an update. As I mentioned, I plan to get at least one more of these as soon as I can. My dirty clothes hamper is in the bathroom closet along with mops and cleaning buckets. I am sure that having less humidity there will be so much better for the air and I think that a smaller dehumidifier unit will be adequate. As far as for the living room, I think I might need a unit the same size or slightly larger than this one. My kitchen gets very humid and I have to keep all my bread, flour, sugar, and other kitchen staples in sealed bags because of this. If you are like I was and wondered about how these things work, I can tell you that, as of now, I highly recommend getting a dehumidifier. I am going to risk embarrassment and include a photo of my not-picked-up room so that you can get an idea of the size. I know that seeing a space helps me better than telling me about measurements. The humidifier is placed on a table right next to the head of my bed but the cord is about 3 foot so I can move it around if I change the room's layout.

I recently discovered that what I thought was an exhaust vent in our main bathroom in our apartment turned out to be nothing but a hole cut in the ceiling with a fan mounted in it. Since moving in we've always had a problem with that bathroom being humid and "wet" even several hours after the shower is used. Now we know why. So to try and remedy this we ordered this dehumidifier. It was relatively cheap compared to other similarly sized models so if it didn't work out wouldn't be that bad of hit. Well, lemme tell you this thing works like a champ!!! Within 10 minutes of turning it on the moisture is all but gone from the air. I even tried it with the door closed and got almost the same result!! The only bad thing about it is how absolutely silent the dang thing is! It's easy to forget the thing is on its so quiet. We have since made a permanent spot for it on our bathroom counter and plan on buying another for our master bathroom. This thing is awesome!!!!

Recently wrote a negative review on this product. Since then, customer service for this product has reached out to me to resolve the problem I am having. Giving me generous options, I chose to replace the unit with a new one as I am still trying to resolve my humidity problem. After I continue to run my new dehumidifier, I will at a later date write another review. As for now I am giving this review a 5 star and that is for the very great experience I am having with their customer service team.

This is a great little dehumidifier for the right space (see specs). In my case, my 70-year-old house has a bathroom without an exhaust fan to alleviate the steam. Up to this point I have had to leave the window open a little bit to allow it to air out, which obviously isn't the best solution for several reasons. It also had started to show mildew signs around the ceiling edges, which is certainly not a good thing. I ordered he Lonove, I closed the window and put it in place-- monitoring the humidity level. The steam from the shower was gone almost immediately and i haven't had to open the window in the week I've used it. As a nice bonus, the water chamber didn't need to be emptied until a week later due to its large capacity. Again, this product is great for a smaller space. My only suggestion (if possible) would be to make it battery powered as electrical outlets are usually at a premium in the spaces where this would most be utililized. Other than that, great work Lonove!

I got this product to use in our bedroom closet because it seems to have a musky smell at time and I know the main water shutoff switch is in there so I was thinking maybe there's extra moisture in there. I was surprised that after roughly 2 days of use the dehumidifier was almost 1/3 full of water and by the 3rd day almost half. Just emptied it today and placed it back in to keep pulling moisture. The only extra thing I would like is a sensor display that shows you how much moisture is in the air because I hear it is recommended to keep at a certain amount. So with this I just have to hope I'm not pulling too much from the air. Either way it's definitely doing what it's made for which is great in my book!

I received this yesterday and it was easy to get going with just one plug. The size is small enough to fit on my bathroom counter without taking up too much room. I ran it for 24 hrs and was shocked at how much water was collected. The dehumidifier is also very quiet, which is a plus. I hope this takes the moisture out of my bathroom so I can’t get rid of that mildew smell.

I've been an Amazon customer for many years, and this is my first Amazon review. The Lonove DeHumidifier was among several products which we purchased: (2) DampRid containers with the drop-in tablets; and (2) DampRid pint-sized buckets from a local WalMart. After five days the Lonove water container collected a little over one-inch of water. The DampRid container shell also contained about one-inch, but upon inspection the tablet dissolves leaving a yucky-mucky residue on the bottom. The Lonove DeHumidifier is just pure (H2O) water. The see thru plastic enables me to see how much water is in the container and easy to dispose. My wife and I both absolutely love it, and it wasn't on 100% of the time, only while we were home. The noise is pretty low and doesn't interrupt my naps. Overall, after we dispose of the DampRid, we are planning to purchase more units. Thank you for making such a great product!

I have a big dehumidifier for my basement. And I do need a small one for the bathroom. This one is perfect in both size and function. It is very quiet and compact. I casually run it after shower and connect it to a Wifi outlet, so it would will be turned off by wifi outlet at early night like 10pm before the tank is full. However, it is very quite, so it does not matter to leave it running over night. BTW, according to manual, it consume 22W. Even if you leave it running 24x7, the month electric bill will be about $10. As I only keep it running for a few hours, the monthly bill overhead should be less than a few dollars.

I normally use damprid products for closets, shoes cabinet, and pantry. I got tired of keep replacing refills so I started looking for affordable dehumidifiers. I never used one before so I didn’t know what to expect, and trusted previous reviews. I’m glad I gave it a try!! It works like a magic! I started with pantry and it collected a small amount of water over night. Then I moved it to my master bedroom closet where we get a lot of humidity. It collected a pretty good amount of water overnight. It normally takes a few days for DampRid to start collecting water and I need many of those (depending on the size) at every corner of the closet, but this one tiny thing did it all. So clean, hassle-free. Super easy to use. It has a white noise while working. I only use this in a closed area where I don’t spend too much time so it doesn’t really matter, but the noise is very minimal to begin with. My brother is getting a couple of them next month when he moves to the new apartment. Give it a try if you’re using DampRid for your small rooms. It saves money and sanity. :)

I purchased this for my camper, and it's perfect. It's small, quiet, and uses very little power. I live in the Atlanta area, so it's a bit humid. Despite my RV being able to keep a cold temp, it was difficult to sleep due to the humidity level. This completely fixed that. It also uses such little power that I'll be able to keep it running in my RV while it's in storage as my solar panel combined with my inverter will have plenty of power to keep this running. I plan to tap into the small tank with a fish tank size hose and run it into my RV sink to avoid having to regularly dump out the reservoir
