ENABLED ME TO HEAR SONGS I WROTE 30 YEARS AGO; GREAT LITTLE DEVICE FOR THE MONEY

This wonderful little device enabled me to transfer songs for which I wrote the lyrics and a friend recorded more than 30 years ago. I thought they were lost forever. Unbelievably, I was looking in my little hope chest I got for graduation in 1965 in order to find a letter my Mother wrote me.. Amazingly, at some time I was smart enough to save the two cassettes with the recorded songs in the hope chest as well. I immediately looked on Amazon to see if there was a device that transferred cassettes to my computer. Lo and behold, I found several such devices. I chose this little guy because it was a price I could afford. Being on a limited income and residing in an assisted living facility, it is very hard to squeeze in anything extra into the budget I've been given by my financial adviser. This device did the job. I had some difficulty getting it to work on my part, not the device's part. I was putting the cassette in tape side down in the way I had done with the old time cassette players. It fits upside down from those.with the tape on top against the wheels. I had been pushing the buttons wrong due to the incorrect orientation of the cassette. I also had some difficulty with the computer. Eventually, I stuck with it and tried different things. I am happy to say I was once again able to listen to the words I had written and think: "Wow, I wrote that!" Thanks Rybozen for giving me that pleasure and the ability to share my songs with my friends here. If anyone is looking for this kind of device and has a budget like mine, I highly recommend this one.

Cassette works well for my needs

I've only had this cassette tape player for one week but it works well for my needs. I have not yet converted any cassette tapes. I am happy that I purchased this item. It definitely works better than the one I returned.

Good for the price

It seems to be fairly cheap, but I bought it for a cheap price. Quite a basic design, but it plays tapes well, and lets you copy them to your hard drive. the software included even does a great job of breaking up tracks for you, and trimming out blank sections of tape automatically. Good for listening to and backing up tapes I listened to as a kid, nice to know they're safer now. It runs on batteries, which could be better, but its not a biggie. The included headphones are a little uncomfortable, but you can put better ones into it. Overall, good for the price.

My grandson loved it

Believe it or not, my 4 year old grandson loves to listen to my old cassette tapes around the house. He puts on headphones and dances and sings and it makes my heart proud. Works great and is durable for a 4 year old to use. Thanks!

It does what it's supposed to

I'm very happy with this cassette player. Works better than I expected. I recorded music onto my computer by AudioLAVA. Now I have my music on iTunes and she said if I got blank CDs she would record my music from iTunes onto them for me. I can also listen to the tapes on the cassette player with headphones and also I can listen to it through my car like I do my iPod Shuffle.

A great product

My 13 year old daughter was so excited to get her “walker man”. She like the throw back things and I love watching her interest

Decent Sound! Good quality

Works great! Sound is pretty good considering old tapes were being played on it. Did not get it for the software conversion, so I haven't used that yet. Good quality considering you cannot really find a cassette walkman anyhwere

not useable. the unit's electrical impedance buzz was too high to realistically listen to any music and could not be mitigated by way of batteries vs. dc, headphones vs. aux output, or trying different tapes. should be recalled as a tape player.
