Ok, don't think that we are weirdos, but my husband loves to sleep with the sound of rain. He truly struggles with going to sleep and staying asleep and isn't the type of person that likes to take a bunch of pills to help him sleep. He would sleep with his phone playing a video of rain and basically have it beside him all night, tossing and turning with it in his hand. This was my solution to holding his phone. It is awesome! It also has the sound of a fireplace that he also likes. Now, he doesn't hve to cuddle with his phone all night and wake up to a dead battery! Hope this review is helpful! OCD Insomniac Approved....

Our 2nd Homedics sound machine has died on us, so have been looking for a better quality product...and I've finally found it. Great packaging and a sturdy, very solid sound machine weighing in at just over a 1/2 lb (vs. Homedics very light, very cheap plasticky was only 1/4 lb.) Plus it has 4 rubber disks built in on the bottom so it doesn't slide around and fly off your nightstand and under the bed at 2am. Was hoping for the rain sound, but was open to the white noise. And wow, this sound machine has really won us over. The sounds are crisp, not "tinny" sounding - and for my fellow OCD insomniacs - you can't hear the break in the 8-10 second. Thank you sweet little baby Jesua. When I first turned it on and saw the bright circle light, I was like NOOOO...but thankfully, you can turn if off by pressing the large, raised center button. Rather brilliant as my husband will leave the light on (he goes to bed at the children's hour and I'm a night fiend) so I can find my way to the bed without turning on any lights but can easily turn it off once I'm in bed. Included some videos of the white noise sound and nightlight function (which would be perfect for a little one who wants one).

*READ PRODUCT UPDATE AT THE END* With a few audio tweaks, this product would be amazing, and I love that this company uses authentic sound recordings EXCEPT for the fact that there are some irritating background noises in a few of the recordings. Several of the white noise recordings have a very annoying but faint high pitch beeping or something in the background and the forest sound has a dog occasionally yapping in the back. Also, maybe it's just me, but the rain sound also has a strange sound that comes through just enough that I can't not notice it, and it sounds more like a mechanical rain to me. Not enjoyable to hear while I'm putting my baby to sleep, so I just don't use those sounds. Otherwise, the sound is great. *UPDATE* After I submitted my review, I was quickly shipped a replacement product that does not have any of the same noise issues as before. I never asked for a replacement but am so excited about this new replacement. Thank you so much!

Great product! Perfect for Toddler/Newborn.

So we have been on the search looking for a white noise sound machine for when our newborn arrives. With our current toddler running throughout the house and two rambunctious large dogs... our home is never quiet. We wanted to ensure the new baby could sleep in peace while everyone else is active. So you can imagine my excitement when we found Dreamegg! And let me tell you, it's AMAZING! We put it to the test with our toddler for his nap... and the kid is out cold. The sound machine has great sound quality with a variety of sounds that is fit for just about anyone. With over 10 different sounds, it's great for just about anytime of the day. The night light is actually quite useful and our son very much enjoys it! I would recommend this product to anyone and it was well worth the investment.

Great for toddler nap time & night diaper changes!

This machine is literally a dream! I love everything about it. I’ve been searching & searching for a sleep machine for months. And I finally found one! With my toddler any new gadget is destructible! But I’m so glad I found this one! He presses the buttons all day and it’s still working exceptionally great! The dreamegg is honestly amazing. It has so many different sounds including a lullaby & a nightlight if I ever need to change him in the night. It also has a timer if i want him to nap with it on and it even has a headphone input if I need some me time! I would definitely recommend to all the mamas out there! Great Sound, Nice Sound Options, Nice Features

Exactly what I'd hoped for. This Dreamegg Sound Machine seems to have enough white noise options for whatever mood I'm in. Easy to set up and easy to use. The sound quality is good. I was worried it might sound like a cheap computer speaker, but the sounds are rich. Love that it has a light (not too bright) that I can leave on if I want to find it easily at night. The light illuminates the ring around the top and the various control buttons. It's heavier than I expected too (feels solid and like it's made from quality materials), which is great because it can't be easily knocked off of my night stand by pets. So far I've only used it with the timer (which automatically turns it off after selected time periods), and I think that's great because I don't need white noise to stay asleep, just to help get to sleep.

Amazing sounds

I absolutely love this sound machine!! It has so many different sounds: white noise, pink noise, brown noise, nature sounds, lullaby, and even heartbeat (which my baby loves) I also love the fact that it’s small and black, it looks very elegant in my room unlike our old sound machine we had.

Bought for my dog and me! Love it

I bought this for my dog! My dog has pretty bad separation anxiety. Every time I would leave she would either cry in her kennel or sit by the door and cry. I got this for her and also so people next door are not bothered. I figured it would calm her down to have a constant sound and would drown out her barks and whines. So far (been using consistently for 3 weeks) it has helped A LOT. My dog I think realizes that something I put on is in the room so it calms her down. I put on the water sounds a lot and it signals I am leaving because she goes to sit on her kennel. She still cries sometimes, but it almost drowns the sound out completely. I also use it a lot when I am home because she has that barking which causes anxiety which cause her to bark which cause more anxiety... I keep the fan noises on when I am home and it helps so she is not focusing on outside noises which give her anxiety (I live in college dorms so there are people screaming a lot). I honestly am super happy with my purchase and it can be SUPER LOUD or super quiet and has soooo many sounds. Even when people are hanging out in my room I keep like the fire crackles or waterfall or birds just to have some calming constant noise. For the price I cannot express how great this machine is. Also they send something saying if you leave a review they send you free gifts (mine says sleeping eye mask and I think stickers) so yes I am going to cash this review in, but it does not compromise the integrity of this review!

Great product. Big sounds from a small package.

This sound machine is fairly small, but can produce a pretty loud sound. My wife and I are pretty hard to please with what background noise is just right for both us to be able to sleep. She hates anything that has higher pitch tones, and we both have struggled with looping sounds where there is a noticeable break where the loop starts over. This machine fits us both with, from what I can tell, no noticeable loops, and a wide variety of options from lower tones to higher tones. We found that the pink, brown, and white noise selections really help us sleep. The size would make it okay for travel. The night light is a good feature, and the fact that it can be turned off and has no lights at all, is also great if you like total darkness in the room. Very happy with the purchase.

Sleek & Powerful Sound Machine

We bought this as a cost efficient replacement for our old Marpac Dohm noise machine. We didn’t have high expectations just because of the cost, but boy were we wrong! The sound quality of the unit is amazing and can be turned up to be VERY loud (sounds like a speaker system!). The timer setting is also great if you’re just using it for a timed nap (30/60/90 minute intervals). We use it on the infinite time mode, so it just keeps going until we manually power it off. Not only is it wonderful functionally, it is also very sleek and beautiful. The light settings are really nice as well (on mode, gradient mode, off). All in all, this was 100% a GREAT buy. We’ve had it only for a couple of days, so we will have to see how it holds up over time. Buy it, you won’t regret it!
