Excellent product and even better customer service!

These stones are really great! Use water only. No oil. Online instructions are easy to understand, and stropping (not my strength) is well explained. It helps to check out some online videos as well. The 8000-grit stone and the stropping leather really put the finest of edges on my knives. Here's the best part. The 400-grit stone I got has a rough spot on it. A manufacturing defect that keeps it from being a consistent grit across the entire surface. When I wrote to the company, Flair, their decision-maker in China wrote back immediately with an offer to replace the defective stone. Because of the Covid19 virus, he said there might be a slight delay, although it would ultimately ship from a US warehouse location. His office in China was closed and his family was forced to stay home due to the government response. In spite of this hardship, the replacement stone arrived quickly within a week. I found this to be the highest level of customer service, and I am beyond satisfied. Great job, Flair. Thanks!

Excellent Kit with everything you need

Great quality stones! If you haven't used a strop to finish off your knives your missing out, I'm far from a seasoned knife sharpener but i ended up with a razor sharp edge with mirror shine my 1st time through with this set. Im new at collecting knives (tactical to hunting) but have amassed over 40 already so I'll certainly be buying this high quality kit again

Great starter set

Was tired of my hubby always going to the local hunting store to sharpen his knives so for Christmas I got him this set. He especially likes the leather strap (I'm not sure what it's for lol) but he says it's a good quality.

Good kit with a lot of stuff.

Good kit with a lot of stuff. I would start by practicing on some cheaper knives until you get the hang of it. I bought some guides with it but they were useless and I just free-handed it until I got the feel for it. This makes knives very sharp and you don't even have to go through all the stages. Test the knife by gently resting it on your finger nail if it grabs and gets stuck it is sharp enough, if not keep going.

Great value, solid performance.

Great value for the money and works well. Takes some practice to perfect the technique, however, it's well worth the time investment. Based on my research, this kit offers decent, mid-level grade sharpening stones at a very good price given what's included in the kit. I have a Chef's Choice electric sharpener which is very solid, however, it cannot achieve comparable results to hand sharpening using this kit. As others have recommended, I'd definitely recommend watching a few YouTube videos on using wet stones before you use the kit.

Great beginners set.

This set was just what I needed to get my old kitchen knives back in shape. While in no way a speedy process, I am getting faster every time I sharpen a knife. I don't even need the guide anymore. Well worth the money.

Great whetstone kit

Long neglected kitchen knives are now as sharp if not sharper than new. This set was perfect for bringing my knives back to life. The bamboo base slips on wet granite which isn't unexpected, a towel underneath holds it still. Great graduation of stone grit. Haven't used the strop but it appears to be a thick quality leather. Take your time to build your edge, you'll be as pleased as I was with the sharpening kit.

Exactly as described, excellent quality!

My knife loving husband was excited to receive this as a gift, items are high quality and sturdy, rubber stopper could be a little more non slip but it's efficient enough (and easily remedied) but that's his only negative criticism of the entire kit!

Great buy!!

Came at a very well-organized box how to instructions simple easy to understand and apply to task at hand. Great value for the money this product came with everything I needed and I have already enjoyed sharpening quite a lot of blades with it. Price is Right. Perfect gift for an avid knife axe and sword collector.

It's a very good product, we'll order again when this wears out

I know there are far better on the market, but they cost a lot. This is a good value and if properly used what's an unbelievable edge on your blades. Please do take some skill and must be taken care of properly. I found it an excellent value. I am more than happy with its quality.
