Great product, but don't follow the written instructions

Firstly, the product itself is excellent. It has a very strong magnet. Looks great. Nice minimal design that's easy to keep clean. The one thing to watch out for is something mentioned in some other reviews which I wish I had paid more attention to. If you follow the written instructions and try to stick it to your fridge, it will fall down. The instructions say that you should take the metal plate off the back, then remove the plastic covering the magnet, then put the metal plate back on. It's that last step that will cause you problems. I initially followed the instructions and with the metal plate in place the magnet is barely strong enough to hold up its own weight. I then had to pry the metal plate back off (not easy to do without injuring your fingers). With the metal plate removed, the bar sticks nice and strongly to the fridge and has no trouble holding all my knives.

Attaches to my fridge perfectly

This knife bar saved me!! I have a very small apartment kitchen with almost no wall space and being able to put my knives on the refrigerator was PERFECT. I am SO SO happy this product exists! As far as I know this is the only knife bar that you can attach to the fridge, no holes or drilling required. I wish they made one that looks like a block of wood! I’d love that too. You cannot beat the price or the functionality of this! Seriously genius and thank you to whoever invented this for saving my walls!

Very strong magnet - A+ for holding knives

Very strong magnet. We stuck it on the side of the refrigerator WITHOUT the stainless, flat mounting bar. It stuck great and is almost full of knives - holding them very securely. Me likey!

Easy Access

I should have purchased one of these a long time ago. Perfect for the side of my refrigeration. I have a meat thermometer, kitchen shears, ice pick and a couple o 10 inc knives attached to this. Works great and the easy access is awesome.

Read the instructions on here not the ones in the box

The written instructions are incorrect. Use the instructions on here. You DO NOT put the mounting bar back on if you are mounting on the fridge. Basically, this is a rectangular stainless steel mold for the magnet strip to sit in. The magnet strip does not "fill up" the mold. I found the frame a bit rough and scratchy so I'm hoping it doesn't scratch the fridge especially since I am a renter. The magnet is incredible and it is very attractive in my kitchen.

POWERFUL

POWERFUL! Maybe too powerful when mounting? The plastic strip between the mounting plate and the magnet is VERY difficult to remove. Be careful; the plate was so strong and sharp that when attempting to remove it I (a strong man) lost control and managed to fillet a quite large chunk of my thumb under the plate when it slammed down. A screwdriver under this edge when removing the plate would be a safer option. With all of this is said, WOW! This is one wonderful knife rack. Holds my heaviest cleaver and even a large steel. If you're tired of wimpy magnetic knife racks, this a great choice! (BE CAREFUL!)

Blessing for my kitchen.

This is a game changer for my kitchen, which has very few drawers and backsplash tile. I was afraid to drill the tile to mount a a knife bar so was excited to discover one that will adhere to a refrigerator. While I had to remove a metal strip for better adhesion, it works perfectly on my refrigerator. My only regret is not discovering it years ago.

Exactly what I wanted

Love this! My kitchen is tiny and I need to utilize every square inch. This turns my otherwise useless side of the fridge into something I can work with. Highly recommend. If you want to use it as a magnet, you need to remove the metal backing and apply the magnet directly to the fridge. This was not clear in the instructions but not complicated to figure out.

This thing is SOLID and so easy to use. Pull off the metal backing and place it on the fridge. It SNAPS into place, so watch your fingers. Super strong magnet. Very impressed.
