Not surely why everyone hates this so much, works great.

Not sure why everyone is so mad at this kayak rack. It works perfectly fine. I’m sure having bars on my car helped secure the rack and straps a bit more if i hadn’t had that..... but all in all, it works. Easy to put on the car. East to tie the kayak down. Definitely more secure if 2 people are tightening the straps rather than one, but im not mad at it. I like that the kayak lays flat on my car and when im done, I can easily take this rack off my car instead of having something obnoxious on my roof. Did not scratch my roof either as the pads were in fact a rubber ish material, unlike the hard plastic I keep seeing people complain about.
