Best in the market
I do not write reviews. But this system is so good that I want to share. I had a Lorex system and it stopped working for my phone one day. I replace that one with this Reolink system. I also have a Arlo system for indoor usage. Arlo has been so much better than Lorex for its superior software functionality and usability. But I can say that Reolink works as good as if not better than Arlo in terms of software functionality. Hardware wise, I have no complaint. First, the setup is super easy. I already have my house wired. Reolink system is simply plug and play. 2nd, the pre-motion recording together with motion triggered recording worked together beautifully and you will never need to digger who dropped by and who dinged your car. The short snapshots are right there waiting for you. This is the function I missed most for my Lorex. And Reolink worked event better than Arlo. Reolink allows you to tune sensitivity and define active region, which is so useful and actually works. This is a keeper.

Works as advertised. - Easy install and fully functional
Day 1 with the platform and so far so good. The install was very easy from a systems perspective. Pulling cable is pulling cable. Had been using wireless cameras before and had difficulty keeping them online and didn't like the idea of subscription costs. These cameras work so much better than my previous system. Amazing clarity and really good night vision. Audio isn't great but that wasn't really important to me. I didn't have to talk to tech support so I can't rate them. Still it is nice to open the box and find that every thing is there and it works as the marketing advertised. I installed the 4k system with 6 cameras all mounted outdoors. The mounts are fantastic very flexible. I have 4 mounted under the eve's of the roof and 2 to the siding on either end of the house. I have the mobile apps installed on several android phones and tablets and the windows client installed on my home system. All are working without issue and have great response time. I highly recommend this product given the value for money and a zero fault deployment.

Well worth it.
Installed the system three weeks ago. Absolutely no disappointments. We can now travel and pull up our system instantly and see around our home with total clarity. The system is user friendly and I expect it will give years of service. I'm not tech savvy so I hired a friend who knew what to do… It's a two person project in my opinion. Best $500 I ever spent. We replaced the 2tb hard drive with the Seagate 4tb. …. It came stock with a 2tb Seagate. We then used the 2tb as a plugin for total of 6tb storage. We added two additional 4k 8mp cameras for a total of 8 cameras. So far I have 12 days of data stored. I think it will record about about 14 days. We upgraded to Cat6 ethernet cable. Pulling the stock cables thru attic and down would have been difficult in my situation ….. We tried other mouses,,, but found the Amazon basic mouse works well with this system. I highly recommend using the below junction boxes to install the cameras….. It hides the cable ends and makes for a much cleaner install. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TFK8R43/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Other items used in the install: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MT1T425/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s04?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VYMHGGH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F59NT6W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049KV57O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s05?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K74GWX5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H231394/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Well worth the monies
Well worth the money. It was simple to install and the video is nice and clear. I’m honestly impressed that I can remote view using their app because I live in the sticks where most people wouldn’t go. I have 5mbs down and .5mbs up and I can still remote view from their app on my smartphone I’m supper happy about that. So far the only down side is the Motion detection is kinda touchy. If it rains/snows it goes off and also light will set it off. Like a car passing by late at night the headlights will send an alarm to my phone. I guess you can set it up to e-mail you notifications about movement and or you can have the app do it. Over all pretty happy with it and I hope it will help keep my psycho Mother away.

Great system & Great price
The quality of these cameras dying all hours of the day is outstanding. I purchase the system a couple weeks ago and finally had the chance to do the install and it was well worth the time and money. The only thing that I have noticed so far about this system is the sensitivity of the motion sensors. On their highest setting I was getting a lot of notifications for small things, ie. leaves falling in front of cameras. I have since dialed back the motion sensitivity and the notifications are much less. In that aspect they really are doing their job, but I just had to find the setting that worked for me. The 4K is crystal clear when connect to my tv screen through hdmi. The playback and live view modes are very fast while counted to cable internet. Everything you need is right in the box ready for install. You will not find a nicer system a the same price point.

Reason I choose these. Is the audio.
Hmmm. I am a Camara nut. They are addictive. I run a business and need them. Then I bought a second home in Florida. And decided I needed cameras there. I am familiar with the BNC hook up-1080’s. And decided I would give nvr a try. Easy to install. Basically the same as running BNC. I will learn more from reviews and YouTube. I thought I would be able to hook up the motion detection easily. But it seems I have to do more. But I can see my cameras from Boston by opening the app. But have to do a little extra for motion detection. I don’t mind that. But the less information I have to give to any app. The better I feel. I also have Blink Cameras running in important areas to alert me instead. Then I can view these NVR cameras if I needed too. Blink cameras are awesome. But they only run in 1 minute segments with audio. You would be surprised what you can miss in that as Blink resets to the next minute. I also did not have a lot of time to give these as I was leaving to return to Boston. Night vision is ok. I am trying to not impose on my neighbors. I may have to much of a reflection off my siding. But for now it is ok. I did run cameras around 3 sides of my house all but the front/street side. So I did put one on the inside of my house pointing out to the front lawn and driveway. I put black tape on the bright red lights so not to be seen at night like a beacon. Caz they are bright. And I have no reflection on my window. And it is tilted sideways. And I can see pretty good. Actually very good. When I return at Xmas. I will give it more time to set up the motion detection and come back to let others know how that went. If your more tech savvy, great. It takes me time. I truly love having cameras installed. Cameras do not lie. Lol. It gives me piece of mind. I do recommend these cameras. Because they will come in useful Incase something happens. Reason I really choose these cameras is the audio. Let me tell ya. That is the most important feature of these cameras-The audio. Worth every cent. You will be amazed what you hear. Totally different from silent vids. You will find out real quick who your friends are. I also have signs up stating you are on camera. You are being videotaped. That last about 3 seconds in the brain of People with mean intentions. I kid you not. Lol. They still do and say stupid things. It amazes me.

Well worth it
I highly recommend this setup to ANYONE. I returned my Blink cameras because they were eating batteries like candy. Just buy some extra cables and hide the motherboard in the attic in case burglars get into the house👍 I do wish the cables were a bit longer though

Cameras have very clear focus, even at night.
We had 6 cameras installed. The set up required a monitor to the NVR and ours didn’t have the correct cable port. So we borrowed one for the day. We use Apple devices, and we’re not told we would need to go online and download a driver. Once we figured that out, it went fairly smoothly for a pc-oriented device. I would make strong suggestion to get rid of the mouse and allow a trackpad to attach. Haven’t used a mouse in years for all the reasons that this one is unacceptable. Once the cameras were up and running, the next day, I proceeded to figure out how to set each one up with name, placement of name, audio, video, masking, etc. somewhere along the line, I lost connection with one camera. Got all the other 5 with settings ok. Sent email to customer service re 6th camera. They responded after one day with many suggestions, most of which I had already tried. But after a day, the 6th camera was visible. And was programmed. Still unhappy that a red light on the NVR has to keep blinking. Asked about it and was told if I had set up cameras to record, the light would constantly blink red. Another suggestion would be that it blinks red ONLY while a camera is recording. A green light solid could indicate it was on. Not an intuitive piece of equipment.

Great customer support! Highly recommend this security system.
The RLN8-410 system that I purchased was excellent for my needs. It took a lot of work for me and was time consuming to get the included Network Video Recorder (NVR) to be compatible with my Local Wi-Fi Network and a suitable video monitor to use with it. Otherwise, it was just “plug and play” video once I got it to be compatible. For your reference, please do not try to use a TV monitor with antenna connection with the NVR because it won’t work. It has to be a gaming monitor or computer monitor. Since I was having difficulty in installing this product, I emailed Reolink customer support and received answers to all of my questions. Reolink customer support was very helpful in seeing that the product I purchased (RLN8-410) became operational for my needs. They stayed with me, on and off, over several days answering All my questions as I progressed in this “Do-it-yourself” installation. I gave this product 4 stars for Night Vision because night video is only “black and white” while all other video is in color with high resolution (very clear to see). The product works great! And I highly recommend this product (RLN8-410) security system. It was delivered promptly, on-time, And the product description on Amazon was representative of the item received.

Questionable quality but good customer support
Update: the seller is willing to work with me and replace all the defective cameras, and they cover one way shipping for them. I’m now happy with this product for its high quality image. One recommendation to the manufacturer is to make the watertight cap at the Ethernet connection more watertight. It obviously doesn’t withstand bad weather and external heat. I’d suggest whoever installs it put some electric tape all around it. I didn’t do it when I installed them and water fried two cameras. Original: Two cameras has gone bad within two separate storms! I’m really upset about this product! I woke up in the mornings only to found out that cameras had gone dark! The first one gone bad and was replaced. The. The second one. And after restart the camera will then be back on for a while. If you look at the time stamps you will see the recordings are not continuous! Don’t rely on this product for your own safety. They simply don’t work!
