I needed this because my board had 8 + 4 pin cpu power requirement. My PSU only had a single 8 pin, but this splits to two ends that could also separate to 4+4. Nice sheathing hides the wiring. I couldn't find another one that was quick shipping, had the sheathing, AND had the splitting with 4+4 (2x). NOTE: Make sure your cpu power rail on the PSU can handle the cpu's power rating!

Replaced my son's AMD FX8370 MB/CPU and GeForce GTX 970 with a Ryzen 7 2700X, ASUS Crosshair Hero VII Wifi and AMD RX580. Officially, the ASUS Crosshair Hero VII Wifi has an 8 pin EPS power port and a 4 pin EPS power port but it can be run without the 4 pin. However the RGB could be affected and my son has an RGB case and new 750 watt modular P/S with plenty of power but only one 8/4 pin EPS port. This splitter allows me to connect to both motherboard ports. There is more than enough power to run the system and my son is happy with his upgraded computer.

After gutting a G5 case and its power supply and replacing the PSU innards with a Corsair SFX, my dual socket Ivy Bridge Hackintosh needed two EPS, and this fit the bill. That little Corsair 600 coupled with this keeps it up and running.

I've only recently started building PC's. The last two PC's have needed an 8 + 4 Power supply plug to the mother board around the CPU. Most power supplies only come with the 8 plug. So, I needed a splitter and this cord worked perfectly! Would definitely buy again.

I needed this to provide power to both 8 pin power connectors on my motherboard and it worked great.

I needed to split my EPS power cable. I purchased this and was able to split my cable. Everything works as it should.

Perfect for 8 + 8 and 8 +4 pin CPU power input configuration. Great alternative for those with semi/non modular PSU and only one 8pin ATX lead.

needed for m/b to split power since I ran out of source.

Just what I needed to power the MB.

installed, working great. No complaints.
