I like the flavor of popcorn - always have. For years and years, I never even considered adding any seasoning beyond butter and salt. However, someone gave me a shaker of cheese flavored seasoning, and I never looked back. None of the stores I frequent every carry more than two or three of the flavors, so when I saw this sampler pack, I ordered it. I dry pop the popcorn in a microwave, hit it with a butter-flavored spray (Can't Believe It's Not Butter is very good), then either sprinkle on some salt-substitute or some or one of these flavorings. This way, you get a huge portion of the stuff for around 200 calories! This means that for me, the butter flavored topping is a bit redundant - your mileage may vary. The white cheddar is very nice - great cheesy flavor without overpowering the popcorn itself. Same with the nacho cheese. The ranch isn't what I expected - more of an onion-y overtone, but pretty good. The caramel could be a lot stronger. The bacon cheddar is right up your alley if you like either flavor - you get quite a taste of each in every bite. Be careful of the cheesy jalapeno - it's pretty spicy, so a little goes a long way. Also, I managed to inhale a tiny bit as I was shaking it on, and I was coughing for five minutes. My far and away favorite is the kettle corn - sweet and salty at the same time, it takes my right to the county fair when I use it! You can of course use these on foods besides popcorn - such as baked potatoes, pasta, or salads. I haven't used them in those ways, so I can't say how they'll work for you. But if you're a popcorn lover - I highly recommend trying this variety pack!

I ordered these the other day and already tried all of them on various batches of popcorn! After reading review of people saying these seasonings don’t stick to the popcorn (which makes sense since it’s dry popcorn and dry seasoning), I did some experimenting with things I had at home!! (I’ve been using plain popcorn popped from plain kernels.) I tried drizzling flavorless oil (avocado oil), but even after shaking vigorously, the oil did not evenly coat the popcorn, so the flavors did not apply evenly. Next, I tried drizzling melted butter (I waited for it to cool down a little so it wouldn’t make my popcorn soggy), but even after shaking vigorously, it still did not spread evenly. It DID give delicious buttery taste to some kernels, though - YUM! FINALLY, I found my spray oil (PAM). I poured two handfuls of popcorn in a single layer in a mixing bowl, sprayed it with oil, sprinkled it with seasoning. Next I mixed it around, adding a bit more popcorn, sprayed, and sprinkled! Repeat until you’ve seasoned all your popcorn!! I found this method very successful! FLAVORS — I found them very delicious! Especially if you like flavored potato chips. If you’re more into simple/natural flavors, these might taste too artificial for you. But I do appreciate how they use real cheese for their cheesy flavors and I noticed they use a lot of real seasonings. I feel like these would be good sprinkled on fries, too! SIZE — These are definitely sample sizes, but it’s a good way to figure out which flavors you like. But these seasonings go a long way since they’re very flavorful.

Used these for a "popcorn station" at a kids birthday party, they were a huge hit! All flavors were used, some more than others, I was pleasantly surprised at how many people chose to use these seasonings rather than have plain salted popcorn. I will definitely buy these again for future parties!

These are tiny! I suppose I should have known that since it says they are .9 ounces, but without a size comparison I just didn't realize how small they really were. I bought these as a Christmas present for my step-dad since my mom got him a popcorn maker. I still think they are great because they will allow him to decide which ones he likes and which he doesn't without having to spend $50 on the assortment of regular sized ones. Plus- with the ones he doesn't like he won't have to feel bad for throwing out an entire canister of something. The company also threw in a few sample packets of flavors, so I have a little jar and a packet, which was unexpected and I thought was nice (and they were flavors that are probably favorites, like ranch). I will update after we try them all to let you know if they are worth the try, though I expect they will be. Oh- also, the box they came in was awesome. I mean, it was a cardboard box, but it was marked "hassle free" and it really was! Not that that REALLY has anything to do with the product, but just another observation :)

8 different flavors! I used these as a part of a "popcorn bar" at my kids' birthday party. I popped a bunch of popcorn and had paper bags so the kids could fill their bags with popcorn. I had chocolate candies so they could melt on the hot popped popcorn. They sprinkled flavors. Some kids combined flavors and others came back for seconds to try a different flavor. It was a huge success! Each bottle comes sealed and labeled. All of the containers fix into a quart size ziploc bag. We had leftover flavors with 20 kids attending the party. Plenty to go around!

This a great way to test the flavors. I like them all. I would probably buy all of them in the full size. I do add just a bit of butter to the popcorn so That the flavoring sticks to the popcorn

Everyone in my family has their own favorite Kernel Season's popcorn seasoning but so far nobody has complained about a single one, they seem to enjoy them all which is uncommon for my family. For less than TWO dollars each this is an incredibly good bargain! The containers are a little small but each of them will bring numerous batches of popcorn up to the perfection level. Definitely do NOT hesitate buying this fantastic product, I guarantee you will not regret making the decision. I do NOT know the merchant, the merchant has not offered me any kind of discount for my kind words of truth. I don't leave reviews very often unless I'm incredibly impressed.

I love variety but I think this helped me found my favorite flavor...ranch! I started out by throwing my kernels in oil, some salt and the seasoning--it didn't work. Eventually I started just popping it normally with oil and salt. Then I'd either toss some melted butter into it or spray oil before throwing a lot of this seasoning. That's where I start feeling guilty. Not the damn butter that I have every time I have my daily popcorn...it's the amount of seasoning I have to throw in. You have to use a lot of this guy to taste the flavor. I've eaten popcorn 2x for 4 days now and my bottle doesn't even feel light. Pretty good deal! Be warned...it takes a lot of self control to stop yourself from licking the butter & seasoning covered bowl.

We got tired of using microwave popcorn (as it both burns and doesn't pop) and have been popping on the stove top for the last 6 months with much better success. For fun we thought we would try picking up some flavor seasoning. We have found that 1/2 cup of popcorn seeds mixes well with 2 teaspoons of these powdered seasonings. We found this a great way to try out a number of flavors and see which we like the most. Overall we have been quite happy with the experience and haven't been unhappy with any of them.

My only question is why didn’t I find these sooner? The little jars are cute and the flavors takes popcorn to another level. I’ve only tried three so far and they were beyond expectations. It’s my guess the rest will be just as tasty. One thing that’s needed though—I spritzed my popcorn with a little bit of melted butter or oil to give the seasoning something to hold onto. That’s it. It’ll cling and every mouthful will be a delight. I’ll definitely buy these again and again.
