This is ine of the coolest inventions since sliced bread. The package has a pre open slot so just tear it and it opens easily. We didnt follow directions instead we were able to open the oyster with our hands and retrieve our pearl from it. Very beautiful Pearl's come out. This is a great gift idea, or a way to spend time and make jewelry.
