First off, the description on the listing is very accurate. This soundbar excells beyond your average soundbar for several reasons; this is low profile, so that when it's in front of the TV, it does NOT block the TV's infrared sensor, which allows the TV remote to work properly. Other soundbars are just a bit too high, making you nearly stand to use the TV's remote. Also, the sound is so much better that the NEW TCL 4K, 55" Television, I purchased at the same time as buying this soundbar. I used the ARC/HDMI connection (you get all the choices to connect) and the TV remote also controls the soundbar sound. I switched off the horrible sounding sound of the tv set, it's amazing how much better the soundbar sounds. Really fills the room, even at low volume. I've since watched some netflix and Prime films, with loud chase seenes and special effect sounds, some very loud, and this soundbar handles it all. THIS SOUND BAR LOOKS BETTER THAN PICTURE! IT IS EVERYTHING I NEED.

I'll keep this short and simple for this Vmai sound bar: 1. Sweet matte black color design, Actually better than the picture! I was surprised, looks elegant in my living room, so mounting options are extensive. 2. Bluetooth 5.0! Connects with my iPhone without the need of a cable. And no delay of sound or something like that! Very stable still when I am like 40 ft away! 3. The sound is amazing, could not believe this is only $79 The music and sound effects of a movie is pretty awesome for suck low price. Can Never go back to the regular speaker now after I experience this. They stated the sound bar is 60W, and 110db. But I think I am experiencing more than that. I don’t want my neighbor to complain. 4. THE BEST ONE, THE LITTLE THING: The sound bar display remains off when using the sound bar. So, the sound bar display light does not distract me from watching TV. The display only goes up when u adjust setting with remote. I love it! Thanks a lot, VMAI!

TERRIFIC CHOICE

I purchased the VMAI Sound Bar primarily to improve the sound quality of my Samsung smart TV. The HDTV is a few years old now, and recently we noticed sound range being challenged especially in delivering clear dialog and for fully enjoying shows/movies with music. I wanted a slim sound bar to place in front of the TV on our supporting cabinet that would not block the TV infrared control while also blending in. After researching sound bars I almost selected a Vizio product but then the VMAI caught my eye particularly for having a built-in subwoofer and receiving solid reviews at a great price. We've only had it operating a short time but initial reaction is TERRIFIC CHOICE! I was a little concerned at first when I opened the shipping box to find the smaller product box not well restrained inside. Luckily the product box had excellent protective packing itself and the shipping box was in great shape suggesting that the delivery handling was good. The installation was a breeze using the included optical cable. The sound improvement was immediately noticeable. The dimensions of the bar are perfect for our setup. The black color blends in with the HDTV to make it almost invisible but nonetheless the overall appearance works great in our family room setup with my wife's seasonal decorating talents (picture included). We're certainly looking forward to watching White Christmas and other movies with more of a theater feel. Thanks VMAI.

Excellent sound bar

Arrived well boxed and secure. Overall it is simple to set up. Be sure you follow the directions closely for step by step connection. HDMI ARC is what I used eventually to my Sony Bravia but tried out all connections each being high quality. I will recommend this to anyone.

Good sound for the price

Love the extra sound we now have with our TV, since most TV's have mediocre speakers at best these days. It was incredibly easy to set up, took maybe 10 minutes tops (did not mount it on the wall, just for settings set up). Paired it with my phone's bluetooth very quickly, it works great streaming whatever is playing on my phone. Comes with 2 different cords to connect to a TV. I'm using the ARC port, not sure about the Optical connection. 1 minor con, I wish I didn't have to point the remote directly at the receptor on the sound bar to make it operate. With devices like Roku and FireStick, etc. having the technology for years to receive the signal without pointing it at the device, this would be a nice upgrade into not-very-new technology, since we always seem to have knick knacks and other items on the furniture under the TV that the soundbar is sitting on. Not a huge deal, but something to consider when placing your soundbar. I saw on someone else's review that you can flip back and forth between a few different modes for music, movies, etc., but I have not figured this out yet. The manual does not mention this. The "Mode" button does not do this, as far as I know. Rather, it flips between Bluetooth, ARC, Optical, etc. Aside from these very minor cons, the sounds is really what's important here, and we are very happy with that. Especially at the low price for this soundbar.

Easy to install and sounds great

I had this thing installed and working in just a few minutes. Also decided to wall mount it instead of just placing on my table. Which is great because it made it sound even better. My only problem is my son likes to play YouTube loud and this thing can be super loud. So we now have a rule that 20 is maximum volume he is allowed to use.

GREAT Quality for the price

Pro: very nice quality sound. Con: vibration on low bass, will be fixed by wall mounting. All in all VERY NICE for the price!!

Great sound for a great value!

This sound bar is insanely easy to hook up. Did not have to use the instructions, but they are really easy to follow. The remote is simple and does not have a million and three buttons. The black finish looks really nice with the rest of my black entertainment items. Most importantly though, the sound is really good for an $80 sound bar. Is it high end, name brand sound? No, but it is great sound, for a great value. I am very happy with it.

WAS IT WORTH IT?

Short answer, yes this sound bar's absolutely worth it! When I started my research for soundbars I found that third-party brands such as these are superior in terms of value at the price range opposed to others (some of which are even $50-100 more!). The installation process was easy (my preference is Optical) and it works perfectly. I love the blue tooth capability so it's able to connect with my phone immediately as well; there's plenty of ports and options so no need to worry there. The most important aspect? Sound quality, and this sure does deliver, in my opinion this performs above the price range its posted at. If your looking for a soundbar that's going to be a bang-for-your-buck definitely go with this one, you won't regret it.

Great Product- it all worked out in the end!

I connected mine w the HDMI cable but didn't work. I tried w Aux but it wouldn't work either! I've never had an issue w technology ever so I looked at many YouTube videos. I was doing everything right so why isn't it working? I have an RCA tv and doubted it was HD but it is! How I solved my issue - I went through each setting, Instead of the AUDIO settings, I clicked on the SETUP settings. I looked at all in hopes to finding any letters from the instructions that came w this product. At the very end I saw "ARC", CLICKED and IT WORKED!!!! the sound is amazing! I can definitely tell the difference between the TV speakers and the SoundBar. NEGATIVE 1. No biggie- I have to go into the settings everytime I turn the TV back on and click on the ARC for the soundbar to work w the TV again 2. It takes up my whole fireplace 3. The power cord is not very long {You can see in my photo, I added a small piece of shelving so that my cable box could fit}
