I'm in a good position to review the AMVR Touch Controller Grips having spent the last few months using the competing product, Mamut's Touch Controller Grips. While I am a big fan of Mamut's product, AMVR's in this case, is superior in a number of ways. First & foremost, the ergonomics are better, the Mamuts fit my hands well but the AMVR grips have a more comfortable contour, particularly the lower half near the cinch point for the straps. Speaking of the straps, the main reason I wanted to give these a try, the elastic one piece strap vs. the double shoestring style of the Mamuts work MUCH better, they don't slip around once on unlike the Mamuts so you don't feel the need to constantly adjust them during use which is a major plus. Comfort is noticeably better as well. Additionally, there are 3 slots for various hand-sizes to choose from when installing the straps. The cinch point mechanism for tightening/loosening the straps is also captive, unlike the Mamuts... a minor point but worth mentioning. It's just a more well thought out & executed product in my firm opinion. Value - w/ the AMVR grips you get two sets of straps, a red/blue pair & black pair. Also included are additional velcro straps for securing the top of the grip to the Touch Controller ring. In all likelihood you'll never need them but it's a nice addition & another example of AMVR going above & beyond to look out for the customer. Another cool value add is their lense shield for use when transporting your Quest or Rift S, it's well made & cost $10 or so separately. Also included is their silicone nose piece which effectively blocks 95% of the light-bleed from around the nose area on the Quest (I love it as it helps w/ immersion). Price - these are considerably less pricey than the $37.95 Mamut grips. Speed of delivery - I realize demand is high & supply is a bit tight as AMVR ramps up their product supply chain but if you keep an eye on the Amazon listing, you'll find them available every week or so (currently listed as out of stock & unavailable but give it a few days & they'll be available again). As for the Mamuts, availability is better now than when I got them but they ship from Sweden if I remember correctly & took 3 or so weeks to arrive. All that being said, not trying to hate on the Mamuts, they make a solid offering but the AMVR grips are the better & smarter buy in ever way. In closing, even if you could order the Mamuts today vs. waiting a week or so for the opportunity to order the AMVR grips... I'd wait & order the better product.

I bought these because my puppy chewed on the controller. Choices were try a cover or buy a new controller. Now I'm happy he CHOMP CHOMPED. This is a serious upgrade and I recommend it to everyone. These are VERY well made. If anything they are over engineered. You can tell whoever designed and manufactured this care about what they make. They feel great in my hands, too. They lengthen the handles a bit, but the fix one of the biggest problems: the battery cover sliding off! If there is any down side it that it's hard to take the helmet off while the controllers are firmly connected to my hands.

Having extensively tested these grips for over a month, I am confident to give my thoughts on this product. Having already owned the Mamut grips, I was interested to see if the AMVR grips tackled the shortcomings of the Mamut design. I am happy to report that they are basically superior in every way. Quality/Feel: The Mamut grips had sharp sides that just felt bad when gripping. The AMVR grips material is much more enjoyable in the hand, while still adding a bit of texture to enhance the grip. The strap is far superior to the Mamut solution of basically a shoelace wrapped through. It evenly distributes the controller in your hand due to how the band rests on your hands. Price: When I purchased the Mamut's, it was nearly $40 after shipping! These are nearly half the price! Other: One thing I noticed after using the Mamut grips, is that it's almost impossible to switch batteries without taking the grip completely off, which in of it self is a a pain. The AMVR has enough play in the band that you can just get it off without having to take it completely apart. Conclusion: These grips are great, and shipped by Amazon in a couple days rather than 1.5 weeks. They are better in almost every way. Highly recommend.

Let me start off by saying that I've been using the Mamut Grips (similar style grips) since I got my quest a few months ago. And I enjoyed them a lot. HOWEVER, since I have tried these AMVR Grips out, the Mamut Grips aren't that good anymore. You compromised a little comfort with the Mamut Grips. They also had these shoelace style that wrapped around your hand. Now the AMVR Grips are much more comfortable in the hand. And the elastic band instead of shoelaces is a big improvement too. Much more comfortable and easier to adjust. You only have one thing to pull to adjust it and you can do it fairly quickly. The Mamut Grips have the 2 laces. So you have to either grip both laces very firmly with a controller in your hand (which wasn't easy), or pull one lace at a time until it was right enough. Anyway, these grips were super simple to install and are a great quest accessory. These are now permanently part of my Quest setup. Definitely give these a try!

These grips for the Oculus Quest and Rift S are a must-buy! I have tried cheaper silicone/rubber versions and did not have a good experience. However, with the AMVR Touch controller grips, I can play comfortably without being annoyed at the short length of the handle on the Touch controller and have the bonus ability to open and shut my hand at will. This should be your first purchase after getting an Oculus Quest or Rift S, especially if you have large hands like myself. I can't imagine playing fast-paced games like Robo Recall, Creed, Beat Saber, etc. without these again. It's a very quick experience placing these on with the provided velcro straps. And the color options they give you to mix and match the band around the top part of your hand is a very nice touch (red, blue, white). There are competitors out there with similar options, but no question this is the best I've seen thus far for the money and overall experience.

BLUF: I tried this and Kiwi's as affordable knuckle-style controller straps. These were a better fit and better value. Highly recommended as the sweet spot of price to performance as of Feb 2020. PROS: -Straps are adjustable to hand size. S-M-L. -Design holds the controller in the right position in my palm so my thumbs and fingers easily reach the trigger and buttons (Not the case with Kiwi knuckle straps). -Set includes red, blue, and 2 black straps. I found color coding my right controller (red) and left (blue) was convenient. -Straps have an additional silicone material on the inside for additional grip to my hand, feels very secure. -Strap tension system is adjustable one-handed (Not the case with Kiwi knuckle strips). -Strap design permits using the OEM wrist straps. When I want a free hand, I can let the controller dangle. -TPU cup adds to controller size (length and width). Fills my hand better. CONS: -TPU cup adds to controller size (length and width). Won't fit in most travel cases now. -The design of the TPU cup and velcro strap is inconvenient for battery swaps (Kiwi was superior in this regard). -Set includes a silicone nose gasket (?) or flap (?) that helps reduce light bleed around the nose. I was not able to make it work with the OEM interface. Maybe it's designed for AMVR's interface?

Must have. The wrist straps feel like handcuffs where these are much more natural feeling. A bit fiddley to put on initially but not all that bad. The push button adjustment works well, but the elastic straps allow you to slip in or out of the controllers without much fuss (or grab them without strapping in). Another nice detail is the non-slip rubber lining on the inside of the straps, which allows them to stay secure on your open hands with much less tension on the straps than would otherwise be required. I removed the wrist straps and have had one controller slip from my grip in beat saber and it was held in place, thankfully. If you go super hard, you might want to keep the wrist straps on for added security, though, which is possible. Two more notes. Have had to change the batteries once and the little hook and loop (Velcro) wraps were easy to temporarily remove in order to do so. While my initial reaction was that they looked a little janky, they are responsible for preventing the controllers from slipping out of the grips and it was Avery minor additional step during the battery change. Finally, there is some adjustability on hand positioning via the additional mounting holes for the straps. This can be used to bring your hand closer or farther away from the buttons and also impacts how the rotational angle of them a bit. I started on the lowest hole and settled on the highest. In any event, echo VR feels amazing with these. Highly recommend.

I like these better than the Mamut "shoestring" grips, which are also pretty great. (I gave my Mamuts to a friend.) These AMVR grips are more comfortable. It's easier to access all of the controls, buttons, triggers. Finger movement never feels restricted, yet there's never a chance of dropping the controllers. The main straps have just the right amount of stretchiness, and they are "rubberized" in strategic places. There's no need to remove the original wrist straps from your controllers unless you want to. If you decide to keep those original wrist straps, there's a perfectly placed passthrough hole to accommodate them. The instructions are clear, and the video here on Amazon shows how easy the installation is. The grips come with an extra pair of main straps, an extra pair of velcro "top" straps (that secure the grips to the controller rings), and an extra pair of spring buckles. On top of all that, the package contains two bonus items not even related to the grips: a device to reduce light leakage around your nose when wearing the headset; and a lens cover you can use when not wearing the headset. This company really wants you to be satisfied with their product, and it shows!

These grips are very well made and should fit any size hand perfectly! I saw a few negative reviews saying the straps came loose on them but I don't see how. They even throw in a extra spring clip for each controller for those people that go real wild! I'm thinking those reviewers didn't follow directions and put the straps on wrong or this company made some positive changes recently to their design. Now the only catch is for anyone who owns the official Oculus quest travel case. No matter how hard you try the controllers will not fit in the holder with these grips on. If you want to put them back as intended you will need to pull the grips off everytime! You can tear the lid from the controller holder and then they'll fit but not everyone is going to want to do that. Plus you risk the controllers rolling around in there and possibly scratching your lenses! I was going to drop 1 star from this review but the grips themselves are solid. If you don't own the Oculus quest case or what I said doesn't bother you then definitely get these grips

I initially gave this product one star because I didn't take the time to figure out how to install it correctly. It is awesome and the only thing I wish is that it didn't take up quite so much room so that I could fit it into my Oculus carrying case. It is a great product and it tightens so well to your hands that you really feel comfortable that you won't be throwing it at your TV.
