Perfect for beginners

I’m a first time sewer and looked everything up on YouTube to start. On the first day I had problems but the second day practicing I made a few nice pillow cases!! I’m so happy I bought myself this gift. I’ve always wanted a sewing machine and this is the perfect starter.

Excellent for the price!

This is not a kids machine. For the price I had expected a machine only capable of doing very basic things like repair a torn seam, or kids projects. But this does almost everything the full-sized heavy machines do including button holes, lots of different stitches. It includes a DVD tutorial that is also on You-tube and I used it to learn to thread it, saw what I was doing wrong and now that I know the proper way to thread it ( and it really IS simple) I have done lots of things with it including hemming, made a dress and repaired many articles I had planned on taking to the dry cleaner for alteration. For the price of this machine, I have already saved 3 or 4 times what I would have paid at the dry cleaners. There is a full warranty and it is in perfect shape. The blue flowers make it look nice as well. I would recommend this for beginners and experienced sewers alike.

Don't buy refurbished obviously not a good choice.

So I was in love with this machine till today it's not zigzagging it's not sewing right the wheel for different stitches isn't turning correctly it's hard to turn and I've only had it for about 1 month and a half. Very dissatisfied and disappointed am returning hope I don't have problems with my return. Also the sewing needles sent as part of the accessories are hitting the foot press and already bent all but the one left on the machine so obviously not the proper one's. Very very Unhappy.

Buy Thread when you purchasethis machine

It was a gift for my sister. She said it was a great gift. She liked it very much. But you have to buy you own thread. But it a great machine.

Best sewing machine ever!!

So I'm just totally in love with this sewing machine!! I am a massage therapist and bought this machine to hem my massage sheets. I just love it. I've used the straight stitch and the reverse stitch and 2 others but there are others. The instructional videos are the best, it's so easy to wind the bobbin - a sweet Japanese sounding lady speaks English very carefully and gently to guide you through each step of the way. Very well done simple to follow instructional dvd comes with it. I am definitely going to buy more of these for extra. I bought a 3-year warranty just in case something happened and I needed to return it but I've had it for a month and it feels so wonderful to use. Thank you Brother for making such an awesome sewing machine!

User Friendly!

I bought this for my Granddaughter who is 12. She is just starting to sew so I didn't want to spend a lot on a machine that may never get used. Since the machine was refurbished it was under $60.00 and looks and feels just like a new machine. I spent $5.00 for the warranty since the machine is refurbished. She loves it! I would recommend this machine!

This model has many easy to use features...and although I am experienced it has been a long time since I sewed...now I know why I stopped...the recent professional features are so much easier to use than comparable models I was using 20 years ago! The low price combined with many features sure is nice!!!
