Worth every penny, works with assist tailgate
I figured I should do this review because there isnt any from a new body style silverado. In a nutshell, this is worth the money hands down. The quality of this roll up tonneau cover is great. The instructions could be better, they have alot of pictures but lack some verbal instruction. As far as the tightness and security it is hands down excellent. Now for those with the one touch bed release, it works with this cover, not a single issue at all. Overall it is low profile and looks sleek!

Great product with 1 Hiccup
Ok, let's go over this cover. Arrived 1 day ahead of schedule, so that was great! The construction seems sturdy, and the material is thick enough to last some time. Installation is pretty straight forward, as they have a video available right here on this listing! It's light enough that 1 person can install this as it only requires lifting it across the front of the bed. At worst case, just set it in the bed and place it from there. Placement went simple enough. Not rocket science here. I've seen some folks post that they didn't like that it didn't follow the contours of the new style beds. I have no complaints. Front latch hooks are easy to install, just don't over tighten them. You could possibly warp the cover rails. The instructions can be a bit vague about this. When they say to tighten til the clamp touches the bed rails, do they mean snugly? And then 2 full turns. I did mine snugly, then 2 turns. Please note, in the Written Instructions included, they have a warning! If you have a bedliner, or a rail cover (as the 2019 models do), to ensure the clamps are tightened to the metal bed, and if required, to cut a small piece out of the liner/rail cover to allow proper clamping to the metal bed. It clearly states this. Otherwise, the cover will eventually blow off! I see this has already happened in the comments. The front latches. Here's where the hiccup came into play. As you see in the photo, even with the cover fully forward, the aft latches will only connect to the Bed Rail cover. They needed to be moved back to connect to metal. Uh Oh. Quick call to Gator, and Jake answered promptly. Explained the situation, he asked for some photos which I sent. They also answered promptly here on Amazon. You can actually move these latches to any position. With the following steps as indicated in the photos. 1) Fold the back section. If you look at the clamp You will find a self tapping screw. If you remover the screws from both sides, you can slide the latch/bar assembly. At this point, note that Gator stated you can disassemble that entire section. Then flip it over and have easier access. I took the lazy way out as I didn't feel like fighting with the cover. It's like ultra high strength weather stripping which is a pain. 2) loosen the screws all the way out with a long Phillips. Not an easy task, but persistence pays off. Note the the assembly still will not slide until the screws are fully removed. This created an issue as there is absolutely no room to get to them, except the bottom. So.... 3) jury rigged a tool using an old set of feeler gauges, drilled a hole in the end large enough to fit the screw, but small enough not to slip over the screw head. Put a bend in it, and slipped it under the assembly. A little pulling and turning of the screw and it pops right out. 5) I marked original position of the assembly, then slid it forward a whole section length. Checked for fit. It engaged the metal bed rail, but was touching that metal hump, so I slid it another 1/4 inch. 6) Marked center position where the screw goes into slot. Checked where original screw hole was. Moved assembly out of way. 7) Drilled a couple of tap holes. Probably best to put the screws in and tighten them just to break in the new holes. 8) Slide the assembly into place aligning that bracket slot with your mark for the new hole. Now, that screw will not fit in that slot. It goes in underneath, so I used that home made tool to hold the screw til I could get it started. It is a pain. I'm not sure if they are even necessary as some folks state that theirs slide freely from the beginning. I can't see them needed for strength, as there's really no tension on the latches when closed. All in all totally pleased with the cover and the support that was given. I'm not sure if it was a glitch at the manufacturer, or a change Chevy made with the bed. Regardless, the issue was solved.

A great value!
I was at first a little apprehensive about ordering a hard tonneau cover at this relatively LOW price point, but I thought with "free returns" I would give it a shot. This is the third hardcover that I have purchased (the previous two were for other vehicles). One of the previous ones was a tri-fold that worked well, but was SUPER heavy and $1000.00. The second was a rollback type cover that often rolled open without warning and was hard to open and close (also $1000). This cover purchased for my newest vehicle is super nice, fits right, isn't too heavy and opens and closes the easiest of the three. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to anybody. DO NOT let the low price fool you!

Equal to other brands priced much higher.
This cover was so easy to install. I put it on myself in less than 20 minutes. I have owned another one similar to this so I had previous experience. The fit was very nice taking into consideration the not so typical tailgate shape. To begin with I wasn't crazy about to rear clamps but once I got them adjusted correctly, I changed my mind. We had 3 inches of hard rain today and the bed was dry. I do agree the tight fit does impede the use of my auto tailgate opening but that's no deal breaker for me. All around I'm really impressed so far. It looks good, fits good and so far water tight. I've owned several over the years of which some cost 3 times as much as this one. I'd say it's as good as all the others as long as you install correctly and maintain it. Most people stick it on and never think about it again until something goes wrong.

Great for the money
Easy to install, took me well under an hour. Good quality, really sturdy with some very nice features. One of my favorites which makes this hard folding cover stand out is that it folds up to an upright position parallel with the rear cab window and comes with braces on both sides to hold it there. This allows you to utilize the entire bed of the truck when needed. A lot of the other versions of this type I saw didn't have this so when you folded it back you would lose the functionality of about a foot or so of bed space. You get a truck for when you have to move things, you don't want to fool around with limiting your available capacity when you need it most. This is easy to install, easy to use, improves the security for items in the bed of your truck and allows you to retain the use of more of your bed space when needed. I would definitely buy this again.

ease of installation plus a decade worth of warranty
I'm not sure what the other poor reviews stem from but it has to be the reviewers reading comprehsion of the instructions or a general lack of basic mechanical skills. I put it on in about 10 min. It fits quite well on the new body style Silverado 1/2 ton. The tri-fold cover has a bit more rigidity. I sprayed it hard with a water hose and i see no puddling issues. I didn't notice any leaks but i also didnt try to create leaks. The cover sits on top of the bed rails so it is highly unlikely to be as water tight as say a Suburban's cargo area. It is easily removed by one person in just a few minutes if you ever need access to your whole truck bed. Here are some other things to consider....the bed caps have a slight taper where they get slightly more narrow from the cab to the tail gate. The cover is perfectly square so it will not perfectly follow the bed cap lines. However if you space it equally on each side then only the Karen and Eric personalities will notice the difference in geometry. Yes it works with the chevy tailgate. There is weather stripping all the way around the cover to keep the water out, so a slight push may be necessary to get the tailgate to close. It opened every time for me and it will get easier the more it is used.

Great price and value
As described and fast shipping. Put this on my new GMC AT4 and looks great. Brand new so we will see how it holds up. I do have to unlatch it to use the entry handle mounted in the bed but other than that looks great.

Great fit on a 2020 Silverado 1500
I purchased the soft roll-up cover and it looks to be well made and like it will hold up for a long time. I like how the rails install inside the top edge of the bed instead on top of the side rails like other covers I considered. Fit is perfect and the adjustable tension blocks allow you to readjust and keep it taut if it stretches out a little with use.

Good for the money!
Looks alright on my 2019 Silverado. Not a custom fit but it works. Follow directions and get things square how you like it before you fasten things down. Power Tailgate assist needs help to open not sure if I have it too tight or not. My fuel mileage increased today by 3 to 4 miles per gallon on the highway is a plus alone. I’ll have to update when it snows or freezing rain. I wonder how the soft top will hold up.

BEST possible customer service!
Ordered this cover two weeks ago. Shipping was fast, and I excitedly began the install... Which failed epically. The rails were too long. It turns out, the wrong cover had been packed in my box. A quick phone call, followed by an email, and the wrong one was picked up two days later. Three days after that, the correct one arrived. Install took 30 minutes, mostly because it was cold outside and I kept dropping tools. Once it was installed, it works great, looks great, is easy to use, and does exactly what I wanted. Why will I only buy Truxedo products from now on? Because customer service. This was one of the best experiences I've had in the past 10 years. A simple phone call, answered by a human, dealt with professionally and quickly. I can't ask for more. Thank you Kellie. You're the best, and your company did a fine job helping out a now-happy customer!
