My husband is in between a medium and a large. He prefers to go with large but can get away with a medium. Based on the reviews (which I see now are from a few years ago) I thought he would be swimming in this jacket if I bought the large so I went with a medium and it fits him perfectly. So if it runs big, it is only slightly, maybe 1/2 size. Since it is 100% cotton flannel I am a bit concerned about it shrinking when washed/dried but he doesn't want me to switch it out for a large. He really likes the look of this jacket and I find it to be quality. The flannel is very soft, the layered look makes it special (and the reason I paid more than I wanted to for a flannel jacket-worth it) and it's the ideal warmth for Fall months in Maryland with averages in the mid 50's. UPDATE: We are almost into December here in Maryland with temps in the low 40's and my husband has not taken this jacket off. I love it when I get something right! He can be really picky. Glad I didn't wait until Christmas to give it to him which was my initial intent. He washed it and if it shrunk at all, it was minimal. Relieved. Another Update: 2019 My husband has already broken this jacket out this year. It has been worn and washed multiple times and there is no pilling whatsoever. A sign of quality for sure.

Just recieved this and I'll update my review accordingly later. My initial impression is that the jacket is very high quality, feels warm, and very comfy. Feels fairly heavy. I mainly wanted to give my imput on the way it fits. I'm 6'2 205 lbs. I like my cold gear kind of baggy/loose. For example most times when purchasing hoodies I'll go with an xxl. Based on the other reviews for this jacket i went with a large tall and could not be happier with the fit. The sleeves are the perfect length amd it comes down far enough on my body but not too far. Enough room to lair up underneath, but not super puffy looking. Super happy with it.

I bought on Men size because I really like the style . I ordered size small . I'm 122 lbs 26 waist 32 C .

I want to weigh in on the size comments made by other reviewers. In my case I ordered XXL. I am 6'1. 235lb. with 48" chest and 35" waist. Arm and torso length standard for my height, hands on the large side. The fit was exactly as I expected: Sleeves long enough to break at knuckles using cuff button 1, break at wrist using cuff button #2, room in chest and across shoulders to wear a layer under if desired. So, if you have an athletic build with strong/long upper body and arms then sizing is probably right on. This makes sense for active wear. If you are narrow or round the cut of the garment may not be made with you in mind so ordering the right size may take more consideration. Still, if you can find a size that is an acceptable fit on you it is worth risking a possible return because it is a nicely designed shirt. For people that do physical activities precluding the wearing of a bulky jacket in winter, this shirt is warm and deliciously comfortable.

Absolutely love this shirt, I can never find flannel shirts that fit right, I am 5'11" and 270 lbs...with a taller upper torso ...so I have to have tall sizes, this is cut exactly how I like, I will be purchasing more

My husband absolutely loves this shirt! After all of the reviews stating that this shirt ran large I got him a size smaller, DO NOT do the same! It is too tight and now I have to exchange it for a larger size, nothing bad about the shirt itself (my husband loves it!), just need a bigger size now.

I purchased a reflextec hunting jacket from LW last year. It’s a fantastic jacket, and I was really impressed with the materials and quality. This shirt jacket has fantastic quality as well. It seems to be perfect weight and warmth for temps right around freezing. The silkweight liner is super soft, and the flannel outer has excellent color, and comfort. I’m 6’0”, 215 and purchased an XL. I think I could have gotten away with a large, but the XL is loose enough to comfortably play Thanksgiving football with your cousins, nephews and nieces.

One of my favorite go to jackets to keep me warm. This is a great example of you get what you pay for, a little more money than the “big box” store brand, which is completely worth it. A little larger on size and I prefer it that way as I wear a heavier shirt underneath. Also, it shrinks a little in the wash. On that note, it also fluffs up, making it a little more warm in my opinion. I’m looking forward to many days outside with this.

Bought this originally for my husband but I didn't realize that I didn't affix the correct sizing, and received one too big - so I took a chance and gave it to my stepson for Christmas instead, even though it's not really his style. Luckily he humored me and used it to walk the dogs... And he became a fan immediately! Super warm without being bulky. Hooded part lets this jacket be a zip up without having to button it all the time, but if you want to bundle up, you have that extra to cover the front of your chest and neck. Pocket placement is a little weird (set at side seams of body) so it's not designed to keep your hands into, exactly, but who cares. Going back to correct my mistake and getting my husband one later. Stepson loves the jacket now.

I love these types of jackets, I had one from RedHead that was all worn out so I got this one. This is much higher quality than the RedHead brand one. It does run slightly large, but it is great. I am 6'0 about 235 and I got the XL. Only issue I had was the sleeves are a tiny bit long, but I really like this jacket.
