hardwire capability

used to replace existing fluorescent shop lights in garage. One of very few LED shop lights I researched that had knockouts for the ability to hard wire these to the power source instead of plugging in to an outlet.

Bought 8 to replace old fluorescents in a Horse Barn. What a huge difference!

Loved them. Inexpensive, bright, easy to install. I attached two photos - after replacing *all* the fluorescents, and the other after I had already replaced one so you could see the difference between the LED and fluorescent. Appreciated how lightweight they were when working on a ladder. *Rick* mentioned he would like to see an even brighter version that had double the LED strands and I would too, but these are good. A couple of nits: The ground wire is a little short compared to the rest if you install through the side knockout instead of the top. The knockouts are plastic so they stick in place more than you expect. And my fixture chain hangers (the old flourescents were on chains) required some manual bending to work right.

Bright, and good looking

Bought these for my dad as a Christmas present to replace the cheap bulbs we had in the garage that hardly made any light. I opted for these ones specifically because they had the diffusers to help spread the light more (and not as bright to directly look at), and they also can be properly hardwired unlike a lot of the other lights here that can be "hardwired" using a chopped off power cable (at which point you could basically "hardwire" anything). The overall light output is absolutely brilliant, and knocks the old lights out of the water. On top of that, with these new lights being LEDs, I expect them to last many years to come. In addition, the color temperature of these is excellent, it's just right for a workshop/garage space. Overall good lights at a decent price.

I have a friend who is an electrician and he installed 4 of these in my garage replacing the 4 florescent fixtures. WOW! My garage is really bright now. I walk into it at night and it is like I walked out into daylight. They also have a much better look to them. Then there is the power savings I will get. Glad I did this, it has really improved my garage.

Met my expectations for brightness and quality

The lights themselves arrived in good shape without any damage. All worked upon arrival. Be sure to throw away the mounting hardware and buy "real" hardware at a hardware store. Where I couldn't screw into wood I used the plastic wallboard mounts that screw into the wallboard and provide good gripping power for a screw. My opinion is that they must not care if these things fall on your head because then they will sell you replacements! I was able to replace each 8ft 4 tube fluorescent light with one of these and have the same level of brightness as seen by my eyes. The miracle of LEDs! I'm hoping for longer service from these than I got from a chinese dehumidifier - only 3 years. We shall see.

Great lights, Test all before install

I purchased the 4 pack to install in my garage. I don't know much about electrical so I had an electrician come install them ($65/hour). Only problem is 1 of the lights was defective. He left the other 3 lights up in the garage and said just get a replacement. Problem is, the (4) package is just ONE item on amazon, so I would have to uninstall the 3 lights already up, package 3 working and 1 non working lights in the package and return. I eventually got it worked out with amazon customer service to order a single light and get some credit back. So if you order the 4 pack of lights, make sure you test all 4 of them before install. Otherwise the 3 that got installed already, are great. Very light weight compared to my old florescent lights. And I downloaded the lux light test app on my phone to test. Similar conditions proved these to be almost double the LUX than the old (they were probably 10+ years old) Florescent lights!

Great replacement to fluorescent lights!

The ballasts in my garage fluorescent lights died, and rather than replace them with more fluorescent lights I decided to try LED. I had no idea if these would work or not, but am VERY happy with them after 30 days. They’re bright, quiet, and very lightweight. I don’t know if they’ll last as long as the fluorescent lights (15 years), but I’ll post an update when they stop working.

Great lights, very bright and lightweight.

Lights are very bright and lightweight. It made it simple to hang overheard luckily by myself. I wish the lead wires could have been a little longer but it is what it is. The size of the lights housing and diffuser could have been small given that these are just adhesive-backed led strips stuck directly to the base. Overall, very pleased with the outcome and quality so far.

BEAUTIFUL LIGHT

THE LIGHT THAT THESE PUT OFF IS SPECTACULAR. UNLESS YOU ARE AN ELECTRICIAN OR ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, I WOULDN'T DO THE INSTALLATION, IT WAS REALLY MORE THAN I COULD HAVE HANDLED. I SHOULD ALSO ADD THAT THEY ARE WAY BRIGHTER THAN THE FLOURISCANT TUBE LIGHTS THAT THEY REPLACED. NOW IT IS ALL ABOUT HOW LONG THEY LAST. I INSTALLED THEM IN THE GARAGE, SO THEY SHOULD LAST FOR MANY YEARS.

Optimal Upgrade

Light weight, easy install, and bright. The pictures do not do it justice. Inhave the old lights on 1/2 of the garage, and the led on the other side. What a difference! I have only had these for less than a week so I can not speak to the longevity. If they last they are a great buy.
