Works great in locs that are just starting out. Just watch out for your thumbs. I stabbed myself a few times.

Easy to use

I have saved my husband and I from going to a loctician. Keeps my hair tight. It took some fiddling around to find the perfect technique for me to use them but once I got it I flew through the process..

Reattaching my locs

I used these hooks to reattach my locs. I cut them off after some health related thinning about 3 years back and was missing them. I mostly used the 2 prong but as I got more comfortable, found the 3 prong to also be helpful. Would definitely buy again but they are very sturdy so I don’t feel I would need to. I also made a few locs (bought some blondish for highlights) it was super easy to make locs with the help of youtube. Very happy with my purchase.

I am installing permanent dreadlocks by myself with these crochet hooks. I was able to install my first dreadlock within 5 minutes of opening the amazon package! The three tools are slim and sturdy so the grip feels very precise to get all the fine hairs locked in. On a side note, I tried looking for these hooks at 4 different hair shops in my city, at 3 of them, all run by non-black individuals, they looked at me baffled as I described the crochet hook. So sad that people in the black hair industry don’t have a clue about basic tools for a major hairstyle in the black community.

Whomever invented this tool is a genius!!! Not only am eye the "PRESIDENT OF LOCS" eyem also a client. 😂🤑eyeve been doing locs professionally for the past 10 years. As soon as my tools arrived eye immediately started on my 10 year olds hair eye had just innerloced it and as usual her roots were not in her locs eye usually cut that hair off to clean it up but this time eye used the tool to make her afroed roots one with her locs it took forever (she has a lot of locs) eye will provide this service to my clients for an hourly rate. This will actually make the loc healthier. Also eye had my locs cut into a style and my locs began unraveling eye dreaded cutting them but as soon as eye was done with lady bugs hair eye repaired my ends with the tools.
