Nice Beginner's Felting Kit

Nice beginner's kit for needle felting. The box that hold the tools are very sturdy. Such a great selection of felt colors. Only thing I wish it came with a set of instructions on how to use the tools. Or a quick needle felt template.

Love this kit and just bought another. Very complete beginners felting kit. Love the convienient portability, and the compact, neat storage it provides. I am far from a beginner in this craft and purchased this item again for the value and quality of these items. There is NO way you can purchase this stuff at a better cost per piece. Just the storage bin alone...or the large amount of wool...would cost you as much. Great buy and I will be buying more of these. Highly recommend to beginners or seasoned needle felters. This would be an awesome gift for anyone on your list and a great way to start needle felting ( you dont need anything else to get started except some you tube instruction or a pintrest pattern, some which are free ) this is by far the best kit I have ever found pre assembled, and felting is my "thing" trust me I've seen it all. Buy this...beginner to well seasoned needle felters... you won't be sorry you did. The items are of a higher quality than most starter kits ( better scissors and better needles that are color coded) , the box is amazing and the wool felts up quickly and nicely. It's not missing a thing.

Great little kit at a good price.

This is a great little kit, packaged up nicely. I bought it strictly to have on hand small amounts of many colors of wool that I might use for accents on a piece but which I don't need to keep a huge amount in storage (yes folks, just 2 ounces of wool takes up a lot of space and is way more than you might think!) PROS: Snips are sharp and functional. Decent needles. 2 nice needle holders (which also have a needle in each). An awl. Finger guards (please don't count on these folks, I find it silly that these are even made at all - felting needles are VERY sharp and will go right through). A very good selection of colors. A decent amount of each color. This is real wool - check my photo of the burn test. I say this as a pro because at this low price, one might expect an attempt to pass off acrylic/polyester or a blend as wool, but this is the real deal. ... and... For some bizarre reason, a single mini glue stick. Not sure what that is for, but it will fit my glue gun so meh? CONS: The kit box is nice, but it is not very durable, don't expect this one to stand the test of time unless latched and unlatched very carefully and infrequently. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (if you are newer to felting): You need to get some core wool - if you try to make your figures using entirely the colored wool you will use that wool up fast and it will be quite expensive. Get yourself some cheap core wool to make your base figures with.

Love this kit. Everything you need to start.

Love this kit. I bought this as a travel kit, but my 13 year old niece immediately commandeered it! We spent an entire afternoon making one of her favorite characters, Kirby (see picture, it came out great!). Kit cmes with a nice selection of colors. Plenty of wool to make quite a few small projects. Has multiple felting needles in different sizes with two wooden handles to hold the needles. Has everything needed to begin including wool, pad, scissors, needles, finger protectors and a stacking compact storage bin. I couldn’t be happier with it, although I now need to buy another one as I’ll be leaving this one with my niece! My only con is a lack of instructions for those just starting out. Would be great to have a basic how to and a simple starter project.

Great Craft Kit for Crafty Mothers

I purchased this with the intention of creating small felted animals to give to my toddlers. This kit has everything you need to get started for a low cost. I was shocked at everything that was included! I had seen similar, but less extensive, kits at a local craft store that was easily five times the amount. The roving wool has a great texture and pigment. I love how they are individually packed into plastic bags to keep it separated from the other colors. The stacking boxes make it easy to store everything that's included in the kit. I think I could add more wool easily once I deplete the wool that's included. I think this would be perfect for Waldorf Moms wanting to make their own toys.
