Works perfectly

I needed this to get sound out a newer tv with optical output only to a stereo receiver I use for speakers. Works perfectly. Be aware that it does have a fairly bright blue indicator light to indicate it is powered and I had to cover it to keep from reflections on wall behind my wall mounted tv. Not a big deal but something to be aware of.

Had some issues setting it up with my 55" Samsung UHD TV & LG stereo. For those who have Samsung smart TVs, you need to go into sound settings, expert settings, and switch to PCM. Otherwise you get a buzzing sound. Works perfectly now.

performs as expected

I recently bought a 4K TV that only had an optical out. I needed this converter to swap it to analog to connect to a small amp to power my speakers. Does the job.

Allowed us to use older sounder with new TV that did not have old style component connectors

This adapter let us use our existing soundbar with older style connections with new TV with new connections

Eliminated the Tinny Sound of my TV speakers

I ordered this digital to analog converter to install a better speaker system for a small portable TV. The TV did not have a "headphone" jack to plug my speakers into, so I used the Optical output through this converter and then plugged the speakers into the adapter. This worked like a charm. However, I was unable to adjust the volume using my TV remote. I could only increase volume using a dial on my plug in speakers. This limitation is a TV set issue and not the converter's problem. Overall, the product works as advertised and enabled me to eliminate the tinny sound from my TV speakers.

UODATE :( Did as expected NOT!!!!

UODATE!!!!! This product has a continuous buzzing sound that is annoying! and then my soundbar blew out and stopped working. i unplugged the converter and the sounbar is working again. i teied the converter on my Roku tv for bluetooth capabilites and I LOST POWER ON THAT SIDE OF THE HOUSE MOMENTARILY. I need answers! What is the issue? Is it defective???? HELP This product did was used to connect the karaoke mixer and tv to the sound bar. I ordered an optical splitter as well but didn't need it. The converter did the job!

Works on my Samsung 4k UHD Smart TV.

Works great. I have a Samsung 4k UHD Smart TV and this works as described. Used the Optical connection to convert to RCA Jack's. Sound is good, Reception is good.

Works Great...

Easy to install. Comes with 3ft +/- optical cable. {be sure to remove the plastic tips on cable}. No "lag", perfectly synced. No compatibility problem with Netflix. Highly recommend.

I didnt think it worked at first.I got a buzzing noise but I set my vizio tv to computer in the sound app and it sounds great.
