This product is highly recommended. Simple to use and actually quite accurate. I love the fact that they give you two so you can check accuracy of the readings. My two were very accurate. I tested reverse osmosis, tap and bottled water. The readings were startling between the three waters. I did a lot of research before purchasing this particular product. Very happy. They did enclose a Lucky Moment free Amazon gift card in my package - but my review would be the same without it. I purchase over 300 products on Amazon each year and since I go by reviews prior to any purchase, I feel reviews should be 100% accurate. Thanks for reading.

Very simple and easy to use. We've been doubting our tap water source for a whilr and been buying water at the store to use for cooking and drinking for awhile now. With this tester tools it help us confirm that we did the right thing by using store bought water these past months, the reading from our tap water is pretty bad compare to the store bought water. Cheap and good tool to have for the house.

Update after a month - Already broke even and saved even more the cost of this unit. The routine filter replacement for the RO filter would have costed me $90. The filter company mentioned that I don’t have to replace the filter until I see the water has about 40ppm. Tested the water this morning and it still shows 4 ppm and I don’t have to change the filter yet. I've a RO water filtration for drinking and the TDS meter was recommended by the company who does my filter replacement. There are a ton of different options on Amazon. I also have a pool and thought 2 for the price of 1 is a good offer. Received the meter in excellent packing condition and put it to test right away. Battery is installed right out of the box and pressing the ON button turns it on. Tested the tap water and that showed 130ppm and turning the display red. Then I tested the RO water and that showed 4ppm with a green display. Exact same reading seen on the much expensive meter 2 days ago. The pouch is an added benefit and fits snugly. Will be using the other meter exclusively for the pool water. Happy with this purchase. Will update periodically on how it holds as I'll have a need to use it atleast once a month.

I like several things about this product. It comes in a pack of two, which is nice because that way you can test their reliability by seeing whether they give you exactly the same measurements. They do! I also like how easy it is to use them. Just push the on button, put it in water up to 2 inches deep, and see the readout. I installed a new RO system just two days ago, and I used the TDS meters to test the water coming out of the new system (18 ppm), the water coming out of the old system (13 ppm), the water coming out of the tap (254 ppm), and the water coming out of the refrigerator (87, post RO, but also after the refrigerator's own carbon filter). This is all very good stuff to know.

The little strips that come in bottles are kind of a waste in regards to their accuracy. A ballpark reading is anything but helpful when trying to maintain the water levels of my hot tub. These meters let me know when it is time to change the tub water instead of guessing. When used side by side, the readings were fairly accurate with one another. I usually replace these meters along with ph meters every year or two as they do fail, despite having a replaceable battery. The display is easy to read & also shows the temperature.

As you can see in the little video I attached to this review. This TDS meter gives quick and easy readings. In one cup I had tap water and the other was store-bought distilled water. I have been distilling and adding my own minerals to my water. This gives me a good understanding of how much is to much or too little. Over time I have mixed the perfect drinking water for me with minerals and vitamins that I need in my daily life. NO MF Floride in my drinking water. I keep my insides clean with the finest purified water. I only allow the best to enter my holiest of holies, AKA my mouth. lol This meter helps me mix my mineral water.

I had originally purchased a TDS meter to test my water quality and manage hydroponic nutrient levels. However, I soon discovered that EC is a more accurate reading unless you know what's in the source water in which case you have to do some math and blardy blar blar... This was the cheapest unit out there and it's a two pack so I'll give one to my buddy who is doing aquaponics. The readings are consistent, they come with cases, etc. What more could you want?

I wanted a 2-pack so that I could put one in my office and one at home for measuring nutrients for hydroponic gardening. These are simple, good quality meters with a backlight. They are pre-calibrated and reasonably accurate. For hydroponics, "reasonably accurate" is good enough -- I don't need precision to measure nutrient levels for plants. For those looking for super-accurate measurements for, say, drinking water, it probably makes sense to invest in a more expensive model. That is not my expectation for a TDS meter in this price range. One note - each of the meters comes with a leather sleeve. Considering the meter is enclosed in hard plastic, I don't think the leather sleeve serves any real purpose. I realize it probably increases the cost by only a cent or two, but it's a waste of resources and a burden on the environment. They should get rid of it.

Never had any TDS meter before. Recently my Pure Blue H2O four stage reverse osmosis filter outputs water slower than before. Replaced three stages. When ordering stage 3 from Amazon, thought it would be a good idea to order TDS meter at the same time. Found this one, placed an order. Once package arrived, I put this TDS meters to test water at home. Surprisingly, the RO water reads 30ppm on both meters. Seems like don't have to replace stage 3 right away. Tap water reads 352/342ppm, 21.4/21.5 degrees Celsius, fairly close. The meters display results very fast, almost instantly. Now I understand how badly tap water is, and the importance of having an RO water filtration system for drinking water at home. I'd highly recommend this product for people to have at home.

We use these excellent water hardness testers to measure water hardness at RV parks where we stay to decide if we need to hook up our portable water softener. We keep one in the water hookup bay and one inside near the kitchen faucet to evaluate when our softener needs to have us implement a softener regeneration procedure. We used to use the test strips to measure hardness but they often wouldn’t work because they had absorbed moisture from the air and produced inaccurate readings. These are quality instruments, Produc a result in less than 30 seconds and they come in nice leather or leather-like cases to protect them. I highly recommend these and they will pay for themselves in approximately one year of not having to buy test strips.
