I almost returned this! I’m so glad I didn’t. I have uploaded three pictures so you can see what comes with it and how it works. First of all, it’s nicely packaged with the accessories and charging cord. It holds a charge incredibly long. I’ve had it for months and only charged it twice. OK how this works. First things first; download the SmartOtoscope app. I’ve included a photograph so you can see what the icon looks like. Turn it on by depressing and holding the button on the unit and then open your settings to change your Wi-Fi to the smart otoscope. It will connect immediately, then open the app. There’s a button to start using and you just open the app and put it in your ear! So the next picture. This is why I almost returned it. See how blurry my eardrum looks? I thought it was awful and then I had the bright idea that maybe there’s some kind of manufacturing oil on it or something and I cleaned it with alcohol and it’s very sharp! This is a great purchase and I’m glad to have it, especially when there’s an issue with your ear, you can look right away and not have to wait to get in with a dr. I’m not advocating not going to the doctor; I’m just saying you can see if there’s truly something going on or not. I highly recommend the smart otoscope.

My family loves this otoscope! We ordered it recently to observe and follow a severe ear infection I had. The kids learned a lot from researching what we observed. It is very user friendly, connects effortlessly to my iPhone, and I was impressed with the quality of the camera and LED lights. I would highly recommend this otoscope!

This was my second attempt at a wireless otoscope. The first one I tried did not give a clear image and was really hard to focus. This one was incredibly easy to use, and gave great pictures. I liked using the cone shaped guard to ensure I wasn’t going to deep- it does take a little practice to maneuver the otoscope as you are watching on your phone. My daughter is older and was able to hold the phone, and snap pictures when I instructed. For a baby or wiggly toddler you may need another adult. I was able to see my daughters eardrum clearly (tubes intact). I was able to send those pictures to her doctor. They were impressed with the quality as well. We have a high deductible health insurance plan and this thing literally saved me a $300 office visit. Wish I bought this a long time ago! It will be awesome in the summer when we will inevitably get swimmers ear!

My daughter has so many issues with her ears so I ordered this so I could look and see what what going on in there. Great quality item, and great quality video/camera. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to look in ears!

My husband bought this product because our little girl is always getting ear infections. She has had three sets of tubes and complains of discomfort. We have found this product to be incredible! We have peace of mind in checking her ears regularly and can also see that her tubes are still in. Not only has this product been a source of comfort from a parents’ perspective but I have found it to be a great product for myself. I have always had severe issues with excessive ear wax to the point of having hearing loss. The first time I went to use this product I was just wanting to see my eardrums. One ear was so clogged with wax that I couldn’t even see anything! I know, GROSS! Thankfully, this product has tools that you can use to help get the earwax out. You do need to use extra caution and care, like anything, but by the time I was done, I could see my actual eardrum and hear better. This product is definitely worth the money!

A great picture/video quality of looking at the inner ear to see if there is redness or infection for children or adults. Let’s me know whether or not I should be headed to the ER or Dr. for antibiotics or more thorough exam.

Best purchase I’ve made for this Dr mom! Simple to use. Great to get pictures. My kiddo Had ear pain and then See that her eardrum and burst send the pictures to the pediatrician and get medicine immediately. Our pediatrician was super impressed with the pictures and asked what kind of auto scope it was so I’m grateful to have this at our home worth every penny.

I was convinced there was a spider in my ear....false alarm (thank baby jesus!). This is easy to use and the picture is great. It's both gross and fascinating to see how much earwax is in there.

I suspected I had an impacted ear wax and it only took a few minutes to remove it using Iphone as a viewer. Set up was a breeze. There is a specific application named Smart Otoscope. The instrument needs to be connected to the wifi and then communicates directly with the Iphone application. It would look as if the instrument itself is your wifi network. No manual came with the product, except a few alcohol swabs and a USB connector that powers the unit.

Device seems to work. I'm giving this gift as a Christmas present so I'll have to report back on how well it works.
