Digital microscope w/7 inch viewing screen. Great for homeschooling, hobby collectors and soldering

I don't even know where to start, this digital microscope is amazing. I love the upright screen - it makes it really easy for the entire family to view the item at the same time. It is so easy to zoom in and out and to focus as you go. I love the camera function - you can take photos of what your viewing so you can download from the SD card and make prints or fill in the blank charts. You can also take videos - which would be really great for instruction videos of soldering (the original reason we purchased this). This microscope was super easy to assemble, quick to recharge and easy enough for my 7 yo son to focus. I've attached a video showing it's use, sorry for the length but I wanted to show you 2 different items.

This little thing is cool! Complainers misunderstand how to use it.

For those who complained they can't get the thing to go higher than 4x didn't bother raising or lowering the scope against the specimen to increase the magnification optically vs the digital 1-4x zoom. Watch the attached video as I prove them wrong and zoom into the individual scales of a butterfly wing (which I found outside -- no butterflies were harmed for this video). This little thing is awesome! I can see those who work with micro soldering and board repair or zooming into small components would find this extremely handy! I bought it for the son for purely for purposes of exploration and education. The ability to capture snapshots and video directly onto the included memory card is a huge bonus. While the instructions are a little lacking and don't clearly lay out the zoom issue folks didn't understand, it only takes a few seconds of playing with it to figure out how it works. Watch the video and see what I'm talking about by raising/lowering the scope (optical zoom) vs the buttons changing 1-4x of digital zoom. The wing wasn't exactly flat on the platform, so you have to raise/lower and focus just like you'd do with a traditional microscope.

A must have for young children.

Please remember this is a magnifier not a microscope, you cannot see inside cells or microscopic bacteria with it. It does an excellent job at magnifying things that you could not normally see without a high-quality magnifying glass. The video screen is of average quality due to the fact that you’re getting a 12 megapixel camera. The money is in the camera not the video screen, connecting it to a high-quality video monitor will vastly improve your picture resolution. This is a must for young children, it will open up an entirely new miniature world for them. I chose this unit at $99 because the less expensive units had low resolution cameras and the higher cost units didn’t offer much better features and I judged they weren’t worth paying the extra money. This unit had a good mix of everything at a fair price. I figure in about 10 years when the kids are older I’ll spend about $1000 and buy a trinocular microscope which would be of enough quality to take them into college.

For coin collectors...a must have!

Need to figure out how to operate it!

The microscope is wonderful! The instructions are crap! Once you figure out how to operate it, it's wonderful!

As I exspected in Quaility and function!

There was a channel on Youtube that fixes circuit boards that I use to watch, and It was my inspiration for buying this. So far it helped me with reading really small print. Help me pull out slivers in my fingers and family members fingers, Help me find a short in a circuit board. It is easy to figure out. I really didn't need the manual. I can hook it up to my computer and even do a Youtube video with it. I can access the memory card from a computer via USB. Or just charge it's internal battery via USB. I'm not disappointed!. Would I buy again? , Yes. Although I wish It had more power, but for the price I paid, I was a great Value.

Awesome!

This is perfect for and component board soldering. I have used this a lot already on my time off work and the screen is top notch to see all the minor details needed to solder close points. Many adjustments to help find the exact spots needed to zoom. The durability of this thing is top notch for the price point as well. This has been a great experience to use and will be using this a lot in the near future!

A very nice item for the workbench

This 'scope gives a great image with a long "throw" allowing one to easily work on an object in the field. I use it for detailed PCB repair work and it does a nice job. A good value for the price.

7 inch lcd microscopes

This is a good microscopes , especially the large screen and built-in functions. My son likes it very much, especially the magnification and clarity. Children can also do a lot of exploration to learn more about the surroundings and have fun.

Great LCD microscope..easy to use...

This is a great tool to look into a microscale world. The integrated screen with high resolution makes it truly portable and a stand-alone tool kit. The whole design is beautiful but robust. The stand is really stable and the distance from the camera to the specimen is very easy to adjust. I like this microscope. From the perspective of engineering design, it is actually a small work of art.
