There are different kinds of knee pads for different purposes. These pads are soft, compact and light weight; seemingly best for low-to-medium movement on hard, flat and dry surfaces. They are perfect if you need to protect the surface you're working on, like sliding around on a hardwood floor or similar. They seem to have a good wear potential if used on smooth surfaces; they're going to wear quicker if you're sliding around your cement garage floor replacing your brakes or whatever. Not for gardening imo as they will pick up moisture, molds etc.; hard shell pads are in order for working in the dirt (and your garage floor). The velcro straps hold the pad in place both up-down and side-to-side without cutting off circulation. I have worn them for periods up to eight hours without any discomfort from the straps. All knees and tolerances are different, but there seems to be sufficient pad thickness for low-to-moderate activities on smooth surfaces; it's just a soft pad. Overall, the value exceeds the price...by far.

Love these knee pads!

I wear these under my pants as a tire installer, constantly kneeling down to put wheels back on cars. These are a great value, very comfortable as long as your straps are lined up when you velcro them. I constantly forget I have them on and w wear them home! And they are just the right thickness to absorb the hard concrete and anything that might have fallen on floor! " The one thing that I have found is to put the short side of the straps to outside of legs and make sure they are lined up velcro on velcro" or you might feel the velcro!

Great knee pads

These are very comfortable and absolutely great for gardening, cleaning, etc. Wouldn't last long for construction work, but for lighter uses, they can't be beat.

No more knee pain.

They work great. Easy to put on and take off. I’m up and down on my knees and on ladders. Big difference having these on. My knees feel so much better by end of day, not to mention my pants not wearing out first at the knees. I highly recommend these. Very satisfied.
