Bought these for our boat as replacement for the tired 6 year old batteries that died over winter. Came partially charged but, recharged fully to @14 volts and plenty of cranking power to start our 5.7 litre Mercruiser on first crank. UPDATE: 12/01/2018 After 8 months BOTH batteries I bought died completely and my boat will not crank over even with both batteries together. I will be submitting a warranty claim for replacement ASAP. UPDATE: So, I got replacements for these batteries that died, no return due to being a hazardous material or weight. After researching online at Optima, found that the batteries are a "smart" batteries, which will see it as " bad" when connected to low chage batteries and won't recharge once that threshold is reached. Well, that is exactly what happened. Batteties got discharged over winter storage, even though they were connected to charger. Found nothing wrong with the charger itself, connections seemed good so, don't know why they discharged on it's own. Once new batteries received and recharged, I followed some youtube video instructions on "how to revive dead batteries". SURPRISE! It worked, batteries were balance charged and fully functional after buying Optima brand off boat charger on my bench top in garage! So, these "smart" batteries aren't so "smart" at all. It just brings more business for manufacturers?

I broke down and spent the $ for this battery after going through more than a few lead-acid type batteries. Conditions in the desert where I live is hard on batteries. In retrospect this would have been a better choice and cheaper in the long run. My RV stays parked much of the time but now I don't have to worry about the battery when I take it out. It works great and has a lot of power. It runs down and completely recharges over and over. I guess you get what you pay for...

Much lighter than a walmart battery so far so good, we will see if it holds up with a all day fish, I will update later Upadate 4/20/16 Used this 8 hours on a 52 lb minn kota, It was windy and I used it hard hard figured it would go down before I left the lake, I was afraid it would not start my 25 hp motor, At end of day my trolling motor has a gage to check battery reserve and it said 3/4 full is that impossible so I had another battery checker and it checked 3/4 full can that be true, can that light of a battery hold that kind of reserve, If this is true and I guess it is,this is the only battery I will ever have. Finally something that gets me thought the day and I can carry from the boat that does not weigh a ton, I will update if things change. Update 5/3/16. Ok had it out 11 hours used hard hard, showed 12.2 volts, check with meter showed 1/2 charge left, unbelievable only battery I will own know matter the cost. Will update after a year 5/1/17 Ok bought a bigger boat with a older foot controlled trolling motor, the battery. We fished and used it from 9:00 am until 8:00 a 11 hour day of pretty much nonstop. After about 11 hours battery died. I still am very happy, if I had to do it over I would of bought the D31M check it out. It has 75 ah. That would have enough to run the day. Just a thought. It not that much more to buy the 31. My friend has a 31 and has had it for years maybe 6 or 7. Still works perfect.

Use these (2) on my boat to power my iPilot trolling motor...so far they keep powered up throughout the day. Keep them on a trickle charge for ASM batteries and they are ready to go for each trip. An overnight charge does the trick for quick turn arounds.

This was not my first purchase of this item. I had two previously and have used them for multiple purposes. Right now my latest purchase of this item is serving as the auxiliary battery in my camper van, charged by either the vehicle's alternator (with a sweet isolator setup so my starter battery doesn't ever drain from various camper component draw, and also the aux battery charges via alternator while the engine is running). I also have this battery connected to a solar charging system in my camper van, and it performs fantastically. I have actually purchased a second BlueTop to provide more power in my vehicle while I'm camped and running various lights, devices chargers, and other electrical components without the engine running. No question, Optima is not messing around. They make incredible batteries that absolutely live up to the claims made on their website. They even provide instructions on how to restore a "dead" battery after years of use and extreme discharge. That says a lot. Bottom line: you get what you pay for!

I received the batteries 2 days after ordering and the blue top optima batteries are by far the best I have used. I have a bass boat and use two batteries for my trolling motor and the third for electronics and starting. The previous set of three optima blue tops lasted 8+ years before replacement was needed and there was no question in my mind to go with Optima blue tops again. Amazon sent them to me in a flash and the ordering process was completed quickly and without problems.

This is the third Optima blue top I purchase, the two previous ones have only lasted 7 years each, in the HOT Arizona weather, I do use a trickle charger when I am not using the boat, the last one was manufactured in Mexico also, very well worth the money, they are very reliable batteries.

Just like the headline says, going on almost 4.5 years now and this battery still works perfectly. I have it in my 4x4 rig and it fires up perfectly every time! I recently left my dome light on for 2 days before I noticed, I don't drive the rig everyday, and when I went to start the engine, it fired right up - it did crank a little slower than usual, but come on, 2 days! Dome lights are LED, so they do draw less than the old school incandescent.. but even still on a 4+ year old battery, I was impressed to say the least. This was my first Optima purchase and I will not hesitate to get another one when the time comes.

The last 3 lasted for 9+ yrs, ordered 2 more this month and would like to know where I can get the Group-65 adapters: Part #: 150-28821. I need 3 sets. Didn't come with these batteries, only 1 of the first 3 came with it.. looked everywhere and all the responses say you can get them from the place you purchased the batteries. Any help please.

These are by far the best batteries on the market. I have had them on my boat for three years and they hold up great. I’m now using them for the minikota ultra trolling motor and the work great
