Great Desktop Mic for Anyone getting a start

This mic is great for anybody who is just starting out with podcasting, voice acting, music, gaming, anything really! It's design is very simple and straight forward, it's a sleek black mic that comes with an adjustable base and doesn't take up much space. So far, I've been using this mic when I want to record a vocal idea quickly without having to open my DAW program ( I just open up windows voice recorder app), and the quality of the audio is surprisingly clear for what looks to be a very basic mic. The sound quality is very flat and direct, so if you are using it for podcasts or music, you will have to do a bit more work to get the vocals to "sit correctly" in your mixes as compared to a more professional mic such as the MXR or Yeti mics. The only issue I had with this mic is that I could not get it to work without using the USB sound card they included with it. I have an HP Envy Notebook that has a black dual "headset" aux port for using with headphones with a mic, this microphone did not work with the dual headset port. When I plugged it in, the computer would detect something was in the hole, however, the actual mic was never detected by windows. I tried multiple fixes (including the steps laid out in the provided manual) to no avail. But, the mic works just fine if I use the provided USB soundcard (and the headphone port on the soundcard has clear playback as well). Overall, I'd say this mic is perfect for anybody who is thinking about doing any sort of recording and doesn't want to spend a ton of money just to play around. It can also be used for more professional work with minimal editing, for something such as podcasts or music. For those wishing to use it for gaming, the mic picks up your voice extremely well without having to be directly in front of it, so it may be best to place the mic a bit further away from your mouth.

Sleek, well made

I enjoy the fact that everything is condensed into one sound card. By doing this both your headset and the MPH-01 microphone are plugged ito one location and then plugged into the computers USB port. With the microphone being a table top model you can move it to a convenient location on your desk and also reduces the chance of accidently standing up or moving and unplugging a headset mic. Very nice microphone for gaming or just chatting with family and friends.

I have been using this in my bedroom to record acoustic guitar stuff and it sounds great. I am very happy with how quick and easy you can set this up and have it recording sound. I have only used this on my laptop using the USB port as the input. It sounds great was easy to set up. The little stand works great sitting on my desk top. This mic is perfect for anyone looking to get audio input on a laptop or PC. It has been really cool to multi-track some guitar parts I was working on and hear what they sound like together. This microphone has made it super easy to get great sounding recording on my laptop. I love it.

Good choice for value and performance

The mic arrived on time and in good condition. The instructions were very basic, but assembling it was straightforward. The only issue I had was that I couldn't get it to work in Windows 10 until I went to Dell's separate setup and added it. Windows saw it, but wouldn't turn it on, so knowing to go to the Dell setup would have saved me a lot of time. The construction seems good for an inexpensive mic and the base is heavy enough to make placement easy. Overall, a good choice for everyday use in upgrading sound quality from built-in mics

Great mic for the price!

This is my second popvoice mic I've bought now and I've actually been very impressed! I'm a sax player and I'm also the sound tech at my church, and I have both this desktop mic and their lapel mic, both of which have been great. I've used the lapel mic several times for our church's Livestream with my iPad. This desktop mic really surprised me though. I will say, you really need to use the USB adapter, but the sound quality blew me away. I will admit, my AT2020 does sound better, but it also cost 5 times as much! This is great for leaving on my desk for quick recordings, and using it for zoom meetings! I've done some zoom lessons using this mic and my teacher said it sounded just as good as my more expensive mic! Definitely would recommend this mic!

Excellent Microphone for Zoom Meetings

I was really impressed with the physical and audio quality of this microphone. It captures sounds very well and rejects background noises very well also. I use this for my company Zoom and Teams meeting and it works flawlessly. If your on a budget, this is the microphone to get.

Little mic that packs a punch

I was actually really surprised at how well this thing works. It's certainly not as good as a several hundred or thousand dollar recording mic, but the quality is pretty solid and it picks up my voice from really far away. I have it on the other side of my desk and people can hear me just fine speaking at a normal volume, don't have to shout or anything. I haven't used it for gaming but it works great for zoom, and I'd assume it's also pretty good for gaming. Definitely a great value for the price, and as long as you're not recoding music or anything I think it'll work well for most applications. 5 stars from a casual user who hasn't done anything professional with it yet.

Good Microphone for the money!

Not a bad mic for regular things. I use my mic for zoom meetings mostly but I can see that sometimes people say they can’t hear me as well so I have to be within 12” from it. Which works for me and price wise it was a good deal. I don’t use for gaming so idk on that part of it. I definitely need an external speaker...

The Ultimate streaming mic

I absolutely love this mic. I got it strictly for a review and giveaway and ended up keeping it because I loved it so much. Thw sound quality is great. I'm using it weekly for live streams and other product reviews. The interface works perfect with mac or plug it straight into a recorder like it did. I give it 5 stars and recommend it to anyone looking for a good sounding cheap mic.
