This meat cleaver is awesome for chopping up a whole chicken and pork BBQ. The cleaver is pretty heavy and feel good to hold and chop, very solid, It's super sharp. Each swing makes a very clean cut all the way through the chicken bones, and leave no splinters. I'd recommend it if you need something to process meat with bones in it.

I had my eye on this one for a long time and I'm so glad I finally purchased it! All the best knives in my kitchen are ancient hand me downs from my grandparents. This is because those old knives were well made with sturdy handles and good carbon steel blades that hold an edge. I have had a hard time finding a good all purpose kitchen knife lately, mostly because the quality of the steel is very poor with most of whats available. This knife is made right and its far and away my favorite! It will probably be passed down to my grandkids, it's that good. Good keen edge that cuts easily and stays sharp. It has not needed any sharpening but I know it will restore to sharpness easily. The handle is very well made, sturdy and smooth and it will last. As a bonus it is perfectly balanced and fits the hand well. I keep it in its box and its my go to trout knife for perfect fillets. For now, it is a prized possession that I only use for the most important foods but for certain, I will be buying more of these so that I can use them for all my cooking.

Bought this knife to replace my old one because I chipped it a little when chopping a pork bone. Had this knife for few weeks now and used it to chop chicken thighs, drumsticks, pork belly with bones and etc. So far it has been great on both chopping and slicing meats, no damage to the knife yet :). Oh the handle is very smooth and easy to hold. I like my purchase :)

This is a decent, well made and cost effective cleaver for cutting through meat and bone. Although this cleaver can be used to slice vegetables, other cleavers intended for that purpose would be better, with that said this meat cleaver is quite capable for chopping through meat and bone. Overall this cleaver is priced well and functions as intended when used to cut meat and bone.

I use this knife mainly to cut whole chicken and pork ribs. It is very heavy duty and made of quality materials. Be careful when you use this to chop meat. Don’t put your fingers close by, as the knife is very sharp. Overall, I think it’s good value for the money.
