Could not buy a better pan for the money. This is my second one, and with proper care is bound to last as long as my previous one (7 years). To clean it, simply rinse it under hot water using a soft sponge and liquid dish soap; the heat of the water activates the non-stick, so left over food slides right off. . It is sturdy, yet light enough to handle, and it does not bow with high heat (unlike my $60 "bargain priced" Calphalon) The small handle is really a lifesaver for handling the pan when it's filled with food. The cover fits perfectly. This pan is perfect for cooking chicken and frying, but also for family-sized entrees (will easily fit 4 large slices of shank for ossobuco). My favorite thing to do with it is stewed, caramelized vegetables (a side dish we call Fricando in Italy), which are quite bulky going in and reduce to less than half their size.. To make it, just heat up some olive oil ( about 3 tbsp), add 1 large sliced onion, 4-5 medium sized peppers, chunks of eggplant (medium sized), 2 medium zucchini squash and 3 medium sized Idaho potatoes(3/4-1" chunks), a dash of salt, pepper, 1 tbsp garlic powder and 2 large bay leaves. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on medium high. Stir, lower the heat to simmer, add in 3-4 tbs of water (or broth) and simmer for another 15 minutes till the water is absorbed and the vegetables are caramelized. Adjust the seasonings to taste and serve. In case you have any left over, (I doubt it but it may happen), it tastes even better the next day. Have it cold or scramble eggs over it for breakfast. Enjoy your pan and your new recipe

I already owned this pan for about ten years. After cooking with it daily, my son scratched it with a metal utensil. I was so excited to find this pan on Amazon, for less than half of what I originally paid for it. It is perfect. I use it for everything. It is large enough to make a pot of chili in it. I use it for omelets, porkchops, spaghetti sauce, stir fry, you name it. It comes with a vented glass lid. It is not too heavy to lift when full, and has handles on both sides. If you use only plastic utensils in it you should have it for a very long time. It washes very easily, and you really never need to use a heat setting above medium because it heats very evenly. I kept the old one for my son to use....it's still good...but this new one is all mine! I highly recommend this pan.

I am a beginner when it comes to cooking but I cook often and hard. I am not gentle with this poor old pan; I dog it - I've dropped it, I tap my cooking utensils on the pan edges to get excess food off the utensils even though the pan directions say not to do that, and I put it in the dishwasher a few times a week. After a full year of enduring my treatment of it and its poor lid, it is still in great shape. It has little tons of scratches on the outsides but the nonstick surface is completely unscathed. I use this pan so much I bought a second one so I can abuse both at the same time. I would definitely suggest getting this pot if you need a workhorse in the kitchen. And if you treat it better than I treat mine - which you really should - I feel like the nonstick coating will last practically forever. Note: I only use wooden or plastic utensils so as not to damage the coating

Great purchase!! When I ruin it, I will get another. I try to always use the correct "tools" but. sometimes in a hurry I grab something that scratches This pan has a flat base contrary to some other reviews. Yes, the pan rocks when cold, but when heated up it becomes extremely flat. No wobble at all. Can make several pancakes in it without them running into each other. This pan is used many times a week for many different foods and shows very little wear after about six months use. It slid around on the induction cooktop until I found Mrs. Anderson's Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat to use under it. I now have several sizes of the mats for different size pans on my Samsung 36 inch induction cooktop. These mats are available on Amazon and they work perfectly saving the cooktop from scratches, (they even protect the cooktop under my cast iron and Fagor pressure cookers!!!) https://www.amazon.com/Mrs-Andersons-Baking-Non-Stick-11-625-Inch/dp/B00QVOELAE/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1529764969&sr=8-5&keywords=mrs+anderson+baking+n

I bought this the second time and still haven't used it. I've had the previous pan(also bought from Amazon) for almost 5 years now and use it almost every day. I use it for vegetarian Indian recipes. I use oil and sauté vegetables most of the time, sometimes prepare gravies too. I haven't steam cooked rice in this cooker. It is easy to clean, sturdy construction, no rusting or warping so far, heats evenly and I just got the second one because I needed an extra pan for cooking. I handwash it on most days even though it says dishwasher safe. I have used it a few times in the dishwasher when I have enough space for it on the top rack. I always use a wooden spatula. i keep the heat anywhere between medium to medium high. I've used it on gas range, electric coil range and smooth top/ hot plate range.

Many pans on the market today don't hold up when used on a gas stove, as we've learned the hard way after several purchases of other brands of pans. We have used several T-fal pans on our gas stove and they hold up. The nonstick surface works well an also holds up well when used with a gas stove. We are very satisfied with this purchase.

My son has an induction stove and needed a deep pan with lid, nonstick and worked on an induction stove. This was it. Being a 5 quart pan having that lifting handle on one side is perfect. The coating appears to be well made and the lid is heavy with stainless steel edging. I would recommend this for anyone needing a large skillet that nonstick. Bonus: Induction stove friendly. Update: 10 months later and it’s still a great pan. Non-stick surface has held up very well. This pan gets constant used and my son tells me it’s his favorite big pan to use

This pan is awesome. Ours came with a nylon/silicone grip handle, not the metal handle pictured, but I actually like that better. This pan heats evenly, cleans up easy, lasts a long time (we are on our second one). Our first lasted about three or four years before it started having sticking issues. But, we used it almost every single day. There are no non-stick pans that will last you a lifetime. They just do not exist. And for $50? This pan is a winner! Caveat... if you like taking care of a carbon steel or cast iron (which we have both) then you can have a non-stick pan that lasts a lifetime, but it's work! I love my iron and steel pans. But, if you want easy? This pan is it.

I've had this pan (the 5qt non-stick) for 4.5 years and I love it. I mostly use it for making potato breakfast type dishes or things similar to fried rice/stir-fry and I've never had anything stick to it. Sometimes I even just throw some cheese on it to make something unhealthy and crunchy and it just comes right off. It also does a good job of spreading heat around and I prefer the lid to other means for keeping bacon from spattering around (I use it on my smaller pans too) I do take pretty good care of it (though I've left the heat on for a few hours a time or two :/ ) - basically I just rinse it with water and take a dish brush to it then occasionally take a paper towel to get off spice residue and on the rare occasions I throw it in the dishwasher I always remember to season it with some heat and oil after just to be safe. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a large pan that is hassle free.

I've had one of these for years, atleast 10. It gets used pretty much every day as it's my "go-to" pan. It's seen on mercy either. After that much use I think it deserves a decent retirement. I was dreading replacing it. I was thrilled to see T-fal still made the exact same pan. The second handle is really convenient not just for pouring and moving when full. But when I wash it it's too big to really fit in the sink. But, with the second handle it easily sits across the sink. Handy for filling it with water too. The nonstick well it doesn't stick and lasted for 10 years on the last one. It's hard to think of a down side I guess maybe that after years of (ab)use the bottom started getting pushed in. Making it not sit evenly on the burner. Really after that much use I can't complain. Still worth every penny.
