I was afraid to buy this, initially, but the litmus papers all had terrible reviews. I hate measuring quantitative things with colorimetric chemistry. This was right in the price range, so I took the chance. I used it to measure cold processed soap after curing for 1 month. The range is supposed to be a pH of 9-10. The meter gave me a reading of 9.45. I was right in the middle, and very thrilled. The number did not jump around drastically. I have not had to calibrate this yet. Keep in mind... the probe must be rinsed thoroughly before storing it again. Use DI water for best results. If this does not work the second time around, I will be back to edit my review. So far, I am very satisfied.

I have become more and more interested in maintaining my health through food and drinks as well as frequent exercise. This fantastic PH Meter allows me to ensure I am improving my alkaline intake. I love it! The research I have done tells me that more alkaline foods and drink are healthier for my body, while acidic beverages are not good for our balance.

This is so much better than the chemical kits. The reading is ready in a few seconds. Long term, it is much less expensive to use too since you do not need to buy replacement chemicals or strips.

Works well, feels less cheap than the two brands I have tried before. Was calibrated and seems not to lose calibration as quickly as the other pens I've had. Hopefully it continues to do well.

Great addition to my Gardening Toolbox. Good price, easy to use, nicely made and assists me in obtaining accurate pH readings of the water I feed to my plants. It is shipped with a nice plastic case. I always have Distilled Water on hand, so cleaning is a breeze. I recommend.

We recently bought an electrolyzing water machine and I wanted to test its efficacy. I tested tap water, two levels of electrolyzed water, on level 3 and level 2. The Ph meters are pretty self explanatory to use, take the cap off, dip it in the liquid read the digital out put for the measurement. Sadly there is no chart included with the meters explaining the level of acids. I tested 3 different types of water with two different meters and got very similar readings that tell me the pH meter reader is accurate.

Perfect little meter for the price. Accurate and I got it super fast.

I just bought an above ground pool and it requires regular maintenance. This ph tester is the forest thing I bought for it. I like that it’s digital so I don’t have to keep buying perishable test kits. This digital one is reusable and quickly gives an accurate read out. Note that you have to calibrate it first. Don’t worry as I found three calibration packets inside the box. You do, however, need to provide sons distilled water for that calibration process. Then you’re good to go. It’s very easy to use... just open the cap and dip the top into the water and look for the read out. From there you can make adjustments to your water as needed. So simple!

I bought this to replace a Milwaukee pH600 that I never trusted since day one. This meter has 3 point calibration which is required when you first use it. You can do a single point calibration, but why do that when they include the necessary chemicals for 3 point. It's very easy to do and when I finished, I tested it with some pH 7 solution I already had. It read 7.04. I can certainly live with that accuracy. Be sure to have about a quart of distilled water available for the calibration procedure. I like the larger display digits and the storage case that comes with it. Looking forward to trying it out the next time I brew beer.

I am so thankful I bought this early on in our Hot Tub life! It's one of those things that you look back at life and go "I am so thankful we bought that". I still use the strips to get an overall look at the chemical levels, however I test PH almost daily on my hot tub. Sometimes I am testing PH 3-4 times a day while I am working on it. With this thing, you turn it on and dip it in and there is your reading. So much more accurate than those silly strips. With all the PH problems we have had from our water this was definitely a game changer for our hot tub. Worth every penny!
