One of the unfortunate side effects of getting old is pain in nearly every part of my body. I have also started a fitness journey and I often times find myself so sore I can hardly move. I see these massage guns all over social media and used by athletes but I never really understood what they were for or if I would even benefit from using one... considering my rigorous workout consists of 20 minutes on a stationary bike and a few squats here and there. After a lengthy conversation with my friend who uses one, I decided to try one out for myself. I’M SO HAPPY I DID! I’m sure results will vary for everyone and it is a very powerful machine so please do your due diligence with your doctor, but I was having pretty bad pain in the muscle above my knee for months now. I’d massage it by hand every day and it would stop the pain for a few minutes and come back. I put this machine on the middle intensity speed of 10 and massaged that area for about 60 seconds. The pain was gone. 100% gone. The relief lasted all night as well. I’m completely blown away at how great I feel. The pain came back this morning and I used the gun for another 60 seconds and the pain subsided once again. Pros: - It’s intense- the massage speed ranges from 1-20. I find that I get plenty of relief at speed 10-15. - It seems well made so far. - Massage attachment options- there are 6 attachments to choose from, and they are easy to take in and out of the machine. - Comes in a nice carrying case so you can take it just about anywhere. - Battery life- I’ve used this machine for about an hour over the course of a few days now. The battery is still showing fully charged. Cons: - The price- I’ve been doing some research for quite some time now and I know these massage guns are expensive. For a quality item like this, the price is actually really great. However, it’s still expensive in my opinion but worth every penny. Considering I’d pay at least $100 for a deep tissue massage, this is a good investment. - The weight- I mentioned this feels like a quality item. It does feel solid and well made which is a good thing. When using for a few minutes my small arms do get tired from holding it. You are not meant to use this machine for more than a few minutes at a time anyways. - Changing the speeds- I wish it was a little easier to get the machine up to speed instead of pressing the + button several times. Not a huge deal, just an observation. Overall, I’m so impressed by this massage gun. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a little muscle relief!

Great massage guy for ATHLETES!!

Great for athletes. I do weightlifting and cross training and since massage guns became popular, I really wanted and knew I needed one. I finally found one with great specifications and an affordable price. What a difference it has made in my workouts! I recover quicker and I can tackle at workout the next day. If I feel sore, I engage in 10-15 minutes of using the massage gun and the soreness and tightness is gone. It comes with different attachments which is great for different muscle groups, and the battery lasts long! I’ve used it for 4-5 days and haven’t had to charge it yet.

Very powerful, nice to be cordless, awesome case for travel

Let me start with that I bought one of those shoulder strap massagers and hated it. I was pretty bummed that it did not work to relieve any pain. That is why I bought this one, for more direct control of where to massage. I've had this about a week now. I like that it comes with all the various heads for different massage types and areas of massage. Dont be like me, and jump right in at high intensity level. Use variable speed level one, and start easy. It takes a bit to get the hang of it. My wife really liked it on her neck, but be careful when using this on your significant other, else since its hard to gauge how hard to push. Take your time and get the feel of it. It helped A TON to watch youtube videos and then I knew which heads to use where. AGAIN, take your time and start on low, and work your way up. After a few days I could feel a big difference in my neck area. Being cordless is a huge bonus. Last thing, the case is super nice with a nice zipper (yes, a nice zipper, I know, small things).

Great for Muscle Aches and Back Pain

I love this massage gun! My personal trainer at my gym has used a massage gun on me for recovery but the one he has is $500. I really wanted my own, but I did not want to spend so much money on one. This is really affordable and works just as well. I use it multiple times a day and it really helps with muscle aches. I also have scoliosis and get back pain from it is I sit for too long, using this has helped so much and alleviates the pain for me. I have already recommended it to all of my friends and my parents are ordering one too. If you get sore after workouts, have back pain, or enjoy deep tissue massages I would highly recommend this massage gun.

This is LEGIT!!

I have a son who is training to do Strong-Man competitions. At one of his competitions, all of the experienced strong-men had a massage gun like this. We decided to give it a try because he has also been training me and I'm 47 years old and don't recover like I used to. Holy cow! This massage gun is awesome. I used it on my son's back after we charged it for the first time and he said "Ahhhhh...this is legit!" I used it on my sore shoulders, pectorals, and hamstrings and it was awesome. It hurt, but in a good way that a massage should. It definitely worked out some kinks and sore muscles. I don't like the way it feels on my neck because it shakes my brain, but it works so well on the large muscle groups like arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, etc. I love this massager. I even said to my wife that this is probably one of the best purchases I have ever made. Also, I love that it is 110 to 220 volt because we are moving to Ireland this summer and we will be able to use this on their electrical system with just an adapter. I'm sold! This thing rocks and the price was right! Do yourself a favor and get one.

Update

and then shut off. I just received this yesterday and charged it all night - the light on the handle was green this morning. Started using it on my shoulder and neck with the small round ball at a pressure of 2 and after 5 min. it shut off. Can't get it to turn back on. Plugged it back into the wall, light is still green - nothing else lights up, not even on the back - the pressure and battery amount. I will be returning this. After returning and getting a new one, it has worked with no problems. I haven’t even had to charge it more than the initial time. This unit really helps give relief to my neck and shoulder.

Edit: 3/6/2020 Still the most amazing freaking thing ever! Omfg I got this yesterday afternoon and immediately pulled it out to try it. I have hyper flexibility and frequently have sore muscles from lifting weights on Sundays, this thing knocked them out just being turned up on 3!! I’m taking it up to the gym I use to show my personal trainer friends because I know they will love this massager!! I love that it’s cordless and is so freaking powerful. This is a must have purchase that even comes with a cool carrying case. I was surprised to see a card in the bottom that had a lifetime warranty also! This was by far the best gift to myself I could have ever gotten. I will update if I find anything wrong with it but so far I’m in love with my new back massager lol.

Review of Massage Gun from a women perspective

I have waited to use this massage gun for a whole month before I am writing this review. I am a petite person, so the gun itself definitely has some weight to it that it can get tiring if you have to hold on to it for a long period of time to massage yourself. This is definitely easier to use if you have someone to help. I have always just used level 1 of the massage level. It can go up to 20. At 1, it already feels very strong. The only thing that I notice is that it gets itchy from the vibration. The higher you go, the quicker the itchiness starts. I can definitely feel it vibrates as I am pressing it onto a more sensitive area and I can see my vision blurring up. I have also had incidents where the gun is bouncing going through my shoulder area, as there are bones, so beware as it kinda hurt when it bounced. I would say that I uses this every 2-3 days for 5-10mins. Battery life seems to last long before having to recharge. It also has a color indication at the bottom that I assume is for battery life. On the gun itself, there is a increment of 20% indication of battery life, so you can tell by that as well. It comes with different attachments and my favorite one is the pointer as it can get into the smaller area better.

good Gadget to have at home for when you have muscle pain.

I got this as a gift for my husband and he was very impressed. It does target the muscle pain by massaging and pressure. I used it for my shoulder and only thing I didn’t like is I got to do it myself when my husband used it on me it was more relaxing. It was easy to use on and off switch is at the bottom of the gun. BE AWARE it’s heavy not for children it could hurt them because of the weight and needs to be steady holding it. Other than that we have had no problems with it so far I do recommend this for people who has muscle pain and for other personal satisfaction.

As Advertised, Awesome Massage Gun

I bought this massage gun in hopes that it would serve two purposes: 1) Help with common day to day muscle soreness 2) Help with recovery after intense workouts I'm happy to say that it has been extremely useful in both instances. The battery life is incredible. It shuts off after 10-15 mins of running, but then you can turn it right back on. It does this to preserve battery life and as a safety mechanism. In my opinion, it's good to know about, but not a deal-breaker. It's good for me anyway because it acts as a sort of timer for me to target certain muscle groups. I really like the range in speeds as well. My kids like using the lowest setting and I use the higher settings for sore muscles or bigger muscle groups like the back, quads, or hamstrings. I've used this every single day since I purchased it. It's just nice to have around even if you're just lounging and watching TV and want to massage your legs or another group of muscles. For my first massage gun, this has been splendid.
