GREAT VALUE COOLER limited by its fan
PROs cheap works great on CPU's 65 watts or under (can take more with a fan upgrade) better mounting set up then coolermaster with the 212 cooler lights look nice and it glows well with the fan blades being white stock fan is quite and seems well made heat sink is well made and metal is not flimsy, cooper pad was milled well CONs stock fan runs at 1600RPM and will struggle in a case that does not have good inflow included thermal paste works great but comes in a little packet like it was ketchup uses thin metal bars to hold on fan that must be fitted in side tiny metal fines on the cooler to seat right and hold the fan on without rattle but when you get it in the right spot holds well long story short i have built countless PC's over the last 15 years....have always loved things like the coolermaster 212 cooler as it was great value for money when you could buy them for around 20 dollars....now that CPU cooler is 35 and the fans are garbage....this is a great CPU cooler only let down by its fan spinning at 1600RPM....if this was a 2000RPM fan it would be the best thing you could buy for under 40 bucks making it a value leader BUT as it stands now in a stock set up its middle of the road.... conclusion....buy this IF you already have a 2000 RPM fan to put on it OR are using a CPU under 65 watts....what really sucks is i would love to find a 5 pack of these fans for the case but i will still put a higher RPM fan on this cooler....have tested this on a AMD 3400G, 3600, my personal 3700X and last a old 4690k overclocked to 4.2ghz....first 2 stock fan is fine....last 2 stock fan will leave you with high temps under full load....BUT changing the fan will fix it....its really a solid cooler only limited by its fan

Great Cooler, one of the best of its kind
Right after I got this cooler set up to go it immediately brought my temps down by about 10 c while idle. This is going from the stock AMD Wraith Stealth cooler included with the Ryzen 5 3600. I didn't do a lot of testing but it appears to be about 15 to 20 degrees cooler while playing games than the stealth as well. My only complaint is the fan is very bright. I thought it would match up with the case fans but it is way brighter even when they are going full speed(the lights in the case fans increase and decrease based on the speed/power being supplied to them) the CPU fan lights don't change at all. This is not a deal breaker to me but I do wish I had known before I bought it. yes I still would have bought it. based on several youtube reviews about the first version of it(the difference seems to be the included mounting hardware and a slightly different fan). keep in mind if you want a complete mounting solution for AM4 you get it with this one. the first version includes the mounting lever hook style that the AM4 boards include the mounting plate/plastic hook mounts for. pros powerful heatsink fairly quiet fan even when using max speeds. complete mounting solution for AM4(I think AM3 as well) and many intel CPUs cons very bright blue in the fan lights that you can't turn down I would recommend this fan for anyone getting a Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7. Possibly even a Ryzen 9 but I'm not sure about that one.

Leagues better than stock Ryzen cooler
With the stock Ryzen cooler, even with the clock frequency capped at 2.2 GHz, I was seeing idle temps of 65C, immediately spiking to 80-90 as soon as I did something CPU-intensive. With this cooler, idle temps are 45-50C and even at 100% utilization of 12 cores at 4.4 GHz the temp stays under 80C. I did use my own thermal paste, so I can't comment on the included paste. It took me half an hour to install. Once the backplate is configured, it's actually easier to mount than the stock cooler because the backplate stays in place after screwing on the standoffs. The cold plate is just barely big enough to cover the processor, and there was a small dent in one of the heat pipes in the cold plate area, but it apparently still works fine. This obviously isn't a top-tier cooler, but I'm very happy with it for $20.

Deep Cool Makes a Difference
When I received this CPU deep cool fan, my desktop machine was shutting down unexpectedly. The primary CPU fan had failed and the case fan didn't have enough blow to keep the motherboard and CPU cool. When I received the new DEEPCOOL fan, I thought it was too big for my case and that it would not work with my AMD chip but I was wrong. It takes up a lot of box space but it fits. It also matched up to my AMD Chip perfectly. I also was somewhat intimidated by the installation hardware that came with the fan but, fortunately, I found an installation video for the product on YouTube and I followed it step-by-step. I had never done an installation like this in the past but it was pretty straight forward. I would play the video and pause after each step so I could complete it on my own. I probably took longer than most people but I managed to get the DEEPCOOL fan installed correctly and now my computer is back up and running strong without any unexpected shut downs. I highly recommend this product for the right CPUs that its for and the cool blue LED lights that highlight the spinning fan when its running are a nice touch. This was a great purchase for me.

Neat-o! Great cooler, low temps
Great cooler. I have a i5 9400f and have been using the stock Intel cooler that came with it, my temps were 40-50 C idle but would ramp up to 85 and even reach 90-91 C when playing games or doing CPU heavy tasks. Once I mounted this and checked my temps my initial reaction was "oh, okay". My new idle temps we mid 30 C so not much of a drop BUT then I played some cpu demanding games for a couple hours and never saw my temps rise above 60 C. An almost 30 degree difference. Incredible. I never knew the stock Intel cooler was that bad. So happy I switched, and just an amazing cooler. Your expericnes may vary, but if the cooler works it will help keep your temps at a reasonable level and will most of the time be better than most stock coolers for both AMD and Intel. One note, I didn't take a star off because it wasn't directly related to the cooler itself but rather the packing. I got the cooler and had intended to mount it without taking out the motherboard, but when I looked over the instructions I discovered that I was missing the pieces to do it that way. Since I didn't want to deal with the horrible temps for even a few more days I decided to not return it and just take apart my PC to attach it with the backplate. It's probay more star this way, the cooler is a little heavy so not mad that I did it the way I did, though disappointed the other pieces were not included in the box. My box was also beaten pretty badly but the product itself seems and runs undamaged. Just thought that might be useful. Always take pictures of any damage you see, especially water damage before opening or doing anything further with your items. Mine runs perfect so I am very happy. Note, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between this V2 and the V1. Mainly this one (V2) seems to have bothohnting methods for Intel while the V1 only have the backplate method for both Intel and AMD. If you can find the V1 for cheaper do it, you'll see the same performance. I bought this one without any deal or sale so I spent a bit more but since it was urgent it was worth it for me. If you can wait and can't find the V1 for cheaper this V2 supposedly does go on sale a bit, usually $5-$10 so that would definitely be a deal worth jumping on.

Great cooler for the price
Got this for a recent Ryzen 3600-5 build that was running pretty hot with the stock cooler. I got the V2 version of the Gammaxx400. I think this version has improved mounting for AMD4. Installed it with the computer fully assembled. The instructions were simple and clear. It fit into the mid tower case with less that 1/4" to spare to get the side cover back on. The case had a cut out to get to the back of the motherboard to put on the back support bracket, otherwise MB would have to come out to install. This bracket is plastic that looks cheezy but works fine. The top brackets and hardware are all metal. it was a bit tight getting the four spring loaded mounting nuts started, after dropping them a few times and fishing out with tweezers I used masking tape to keep the nut stuck to my nut driver screwdriver to get them all started easily. The cooler came with a packet of thermal paste but I used some paste I already had. I ran the RyzenMaster program's load test before and after the install; Idle - stock cooler 50C Gammaxx400 36C load test - stock cooler 82C Gammaxx400 69C No comment on fan noise, I did not notice any excessive noise but the computer sits low off the side of the desk so its not an issue for me. 5 star because it works, was easy to install, and for under 30 bucks shipped a good value.

Handles an old 45nm 130 watt Intel LGA 1366 processor with ease!
I just installed this on an old LGA1366 i7 960 3.2GHz 130 watt processor. Running the CPU-Z stress test this cooler doesn't need the CPU to throttle one bit -- the 8 year old CPU heatsink supplied by Intel for this processor would continue to keep throttling down as long as you let the stress test run. The unit does take up all the available space so it is a tight fit. It is so much quieter than the old stock Intel heatsink it really makes a big difference. The case I used was also a DEEPCOOL, so the fan matches the other case fans perfectly. Very pleased with the unit, especially at this price point. The supplied fan spins at 1755rpm mounted against the radiator according to my BIOS. Another reviewer said this was only a 1600rpm fan and recommended you upgrade -- I do not see the need to do so.

Works Great!
Replaced a stock cooler on I5 4670k (LGA 1150). Came with a nice backboard to help brace it. Also included thermal paste which was nice. Keeps my computer cool and was able to overclock to from 3.4ghz (stock) to 4.4ghz with zero issue. Even with the overclock it keeps me in the 50's C while playing games

A little difficult to mount but a solid performer.
The mounting system could be designed a little bit better, but certainly far from the worst. Actual performance is great. Very quiet, even when can is at MAX. Processor has been kept at a perfect temp. It's worth noting that's possible the temp readings from the motherboard are inaccurate. It's secondhand. Regardless, I do believe it's preforming very well and would definitely recommend.

Quiet, works great.
The stock AMD cooler was noisy and annoying. Kept revving up and down. I was hesitant to buy such an inexpensive replacement, but figured i could send it back if it didn't work well. It does work very well. The CPU is now 10-20 degrees C cooler and is quiet. Sometimes going cheap works out.
