• ▶ 【Notification】Calibrate once per week if you often test solution of PH 10, or once per half month for neutral solutions. The 250ml calibration solution for multiple uses (10ml or so each time). Then rinse the electrode with pure water before next test. Rinse and rest 3-5 min before conversing from strong acid to strong alkaline and vice versa.
  • ▶ 【Automatic Calibration】 We make your job faster and easier than ever with this convenient PH tester! With the 3-point calibration procedures, your PH testing devicewill automatically identify the calibration solutions to give you your reading in a snap.
  • ▶ 【Automatic Temperature Compensation】 Temperature can affect reading levels, our PH meter's automatic temperature compensation can ensure that you're getting the best possible reading. Unlike other PH metersthat only have a range of 0-50 degree, ours has a even better range of 0-70 degree, so you can test with confidence in any environment.
  • ▶ 【Clear Digital Display with Alerts】 Tired of squinting at a small screen to get your readings? Enjoy this PH meter's large, backlit LCD screen that displays the information in an intuitive layout so you can still see even in low visibility situations. When the PH value is lower than 3.5 or higher than 12.5, the white digital display will change to red and flash to alert you.

Gave it great reviews originally but now I can’t even get it to calibrate.. the ph has been off by over 2 whole points for who knows how long.. UPDATE- 7/20- customer support sent out new meter received 24hrs later. Awesome!!!

As a personal cannabis grower using an indoor tent and AutoPot hydroponic style system keeping pH levels in appropriate range does not need to be a guessing game at reading the dip sticks. This has made my life so much easier and my plants are showing it. I do a daily check on my reservoir water. Keep a gallon or two of distilled water on hand to rinse off the meter and do calibration. Distilled water is all of 99 cents so not a big deal. At first I worried that calibration would be hard but it is not. I have a sensitive digital thermometer and it was no problem making sure the distilled water was at the appropriate temperature. That would be the one thing to pay attention to. I am not sure what would happen if you calibrate outside the temp range instructed but really, if you are into growing and putting a ton of effort and money into making sure everything is perfect and in range, this is no problem. Being somewhat of a chemistry techno-geek though this kind of stuff is right up my alley. Although it does not text chlorine (those meters that are dual chlorine and pH are astronomically expensive) it is worth it to do a spot check on the hot tub, too. The price point on this meter is appropriate. No complaints. Happy plants happy family.

2 dislikes. Getting the batteries in and working is a challenge (sounds simply it's not there is a "happy place") other than that the product is great and very accurate after calibration. 2nd dislike no fuction to read temp in farenheit celcius only. I use it daily to measure ph for my nursery in order to give different plants the water they need. Love this and highly recommended to any gardener who want the best results possible. Without it it's a guessing game. Lastly with calibration I know my readings are accurate this is not the case with most competition ph meters. Also came with 2 sets of calibration buffer packets.

I found the Dr meter model 838 to be useful in mixing my salt based nutrients for my indoor garden. Tested against a meter double it's price it held calibration well throughout the last 30 days. The kit comes with your first two calibrations you will need distilled water The unit runs off 2 AAA Batteries (included) and is easy to calibrate (I think I saw a video 🤔) for maximum life use 4.0 solution on the sponge inside the cap and keep the sensor bulb clean. This unit will not read the pH of distilled water there must be a ppm count of at least 150 to get an accurate reading. Being able to turn auto off, off (not a typo) is a nice touch. I recommend calibration once a month order packets when you order this meter.

The meter is high quality. Great display and measurement. However my meter stopped working after a month. I contacted customer support and they provided a replacement per the warranty. 5 stars highly recommended.

I am impressed with this upgrade. I had the old dr meter ph pen and this one is way easier to calibrate, takes a much faster and more accurate reading, the backlit display is larger and easier to see, it takes AAA batteries instead of hard to find watch style batteries, and the screw on cap is an improvement. Great deal for the money. I'm going to buy a backup.

Love this PH pen. Works great, very accurate so far. Wish I had bought this pen first. Went through 2 cheap PH pens before I bought this. Well worth the $$. I had an issue with the pen (my fault) and I emailed the Company. Customer service was 10 stars. I will definitely make all my garden purchases from Thousandshores Inc. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Extremely accurate ph meter with great battery life. Also indicates fluid temperature. The backlight is a nice fearure also. It just feels like a very high quality lab instrument.

This is what you need if you want an accurate pH reading. I feel it is much more reliable than the cheaper run-of-the-mill yellow ones. I have calibrated once and have not had to do since (Couple of months couple of months) but I do compare it to liquid pH solution to make sure. Sometimes it can take a little longer to read than I would like but I trust the accuracy and that’s a fair trade off to make sure mistakes aren’t being made because of calibration. All Dr. meter products from my experience are top-notch and reliable.

Good at it uses Two AAA size batteries. Large size number, lighting and accuracy results.
