• BESTEK 500W Pure Sine Wave Car Inverter:Its output waveform is same as the AC power waveform of mains power grid which delivers a smoothly-varying sine wave for sensitive electronics provided by the electric utility.Perfects for off-grid system,Lower THD,Less wear,Strong inductive Loads Capability. It has little interference with radios, communication and precision equipment. It's also recommended by most cordless tool manufacturer that a pure sine wave inverter is used to ensure long battery life
  • This is an inverter converting DC from your car battery to AC for whatever you want to use within its Watt range. It can pull power from the battery through the cigarette lighter plug or directly clamp the alligator battery clips onto the car battery.Plug this into 12v cigarette lighter outlet provides continuous DC to AC power with 2 AC outlets operates any 110v device and 2 USB ports which detects your device automatically to deliver its fastest charge speed up to 2.4 amps per port/4.2 amps max
  • The Sine Wave Inverter has well placed thermal protection sensors,The aluminum alloy casing with a few ripples,Unique vents and also a built-in FAN which comes ON under NO any loads or when the Inverter becomes Hot Once Powerred. It has 2 x 40 amp/32V external replaceable fuse for protection when hooked up to your battery, readily accessible/replaceable from the back of the Inverter;when hooked to cigarette lighter it will use 15 amp fuse designated to your car.
  • Isolated Voltage Protects Perfectly for your device from Over-voltage,Under-voltage,Overheat,Overload,Reverse Polarity,Short circuit.it will not drain your battery dry because of an under-voltage protection point. The Inverter does automatically sense overload condition and shuts down AC power when the load exceeds 500W.You will need to power Off/On to reset the overload condition indicated by the Flashing Red.The ON-OFF switch only works for the 3-prong plugs.
  • The 12V plug is spring-loaded and fits snugly into the receptacle. You cannot get 500 watts from 12volt cigarette lighter plug, needs alligator clips for car battery. If you're going to be plugging this into car cigarette lighter, you should keep the wattage under 150,since that is what most car fuses are set for. What You Get:1xBESTEK 500W Pure Sine Inverter,1xUser Manual,2xbattery clamps cable,1x 12V cigarette Lighter plug cable,2 x spare fuses.

I hooked up my scope to it just to see if it was a true sine wave. The inverter was unloaded, and the image had a lot of reflection on it as it was taken outside on a sunny day but so far it's exactly as advertised. 116 Vrms, and almost exactly 60 hertz. We'll see how it holds up when we go tent camping and need it. Should pull somewhere around 3-4 amps I'm hoping. Write more as I use it. So far, 5 stars...

I use this to run my CPAP while camping. Works great!

No cons so far! Runs my compact fridge, cordless tool charger, as well as my corded power tools! I direct wired mine , because I know a cigarette lighter plug is only good for around 150 watts, and this unit is rated at 500 watts. As with all Bestek products is is very high quality, compact, and a great value! Buy one and you'll be very happy

Great pure sine wave inverter. Just a heads up though, the fans are always running when turned on, unlike some models where the fans only turn on when there is a power draw.

500W doesn't run a lot, but it's fine for a small system. If you're boondocking, you can run a small fridge provided your battery bank is deep enough and you have a solar kit. Don't try to run a small micro however, even if you take the fridge offline temporarily. It's really for back up. Pure sign wave is the only way to go, remember that, research it and live by it!!!

Purchased this to use in our camper, when we do not have shore power, so my wife can use her CPAP (with humidifier). It worked great the first time out, and did exactly what we needed. It is very handy to have both cigarette plug in and alligator clips.

From the initial order to hooking it up and seeing a massive improvement in voltage stability, one and a half days! So far we are really liking this Bestek 500 watt pure sine wave inverter. It is a great improvement from the 150 watt we swapped out. We ordered one that looks like red anodized aluminum outer case, very pretty. This model inverter comes in different colors so if you want, it can be mounted exposed. It also comes with a simple manual, extra fuses, alligator clips and cigarette lighter cables. Performance wise we feel it is extremely stable and produces a higher and more stable voltage. Even though this inverter draws a tiny bit more amp from the battery the AC output is so clean and stable that it actually uses less power to operate than the 150 watts! This is important because this inverter will be running 24/7. We are not solar, inverter professionals but we noticed enough to believe that this inverter is a great improvement. Now for the con, actually there's only one. The fan is a little louder than we were expecting, but where this inverter sits it is far away enough that we never even noticed it. So far we're pretty happy with this purchase. Now we'll just have to wait and see how long this idea of perfection last. Maybe we'll write an update in a few months from now.

I'm using this inverter in a back country solar generator that I'm building. After running some preliminary tests, this inverter seems to fit the bill! So far I've tested it on a 50 inch LED TV, a Yaesu HAM radio base station and various household appliances. No electrical noise at all in the TV or Radio and all the appliances ran as normal. The inverter puts out nice, CLEAN power. The only downside is the cooling fan is constantly on when the inverter is powered up.

I put a 100W lamp on the output and looked at the output waveform on an oscilloscope. Very clean sine wave. The start-up waveform was very clean also...no slow ramping up, just a pure sine wave at start up. The only negative I am aware of is that the fan runs even with no load. I suppose the pure-sine-wave circuit produces more heat than a modified-sine-wave circuit, so it needs fan cooling even with no output current. However, the fan has multiple speeds, and is not very loud with little output load. The fan noise, especially at higher loads, may be an issue for some applications. I haven't run it very long , so I can't speak to its long-term reliability, and I haven't tested it near its 500W rating. Overall, it seems like a great value for the roughly $60 I paid for it.

I planned to use this to extend my internet systems running during a black out. My UPS was able to keep internet alive for only 30 minutes. Using this inverter with an auto battery, the combination was able to the modem/router running for over ten hours and the battery voltage dropped only 0.4V. Email to tech support regarding to the AC output was promptly addressed within one day. They answered every questions I have regarding to the unit operation. Excellent customer service in a timely manner.
