Great lighting at a really great price and works really well.

so far I cant really say anything bad about this soft-box kit, I've only had it a couple days and just did a video to show the unboxing and how the light works. The quality seem to be really sturdy and the lights and remote works. Arrived on time and nothing was damaged. Concerns/cons: Now this has not been an issue as yet but, my two concerns are: 1. Changing or getting replacement bulbs. I've searched all over was not able to find these bulbs so if you need extra I'm not sure where you will be able to get them cause I can't find them on Amazon or yicoe's site. 2. The remotes. Well no wonder why there are 2 or is it that each bulb comes with its own remote. Because from my handling the remotes aren't that big on quality it feels really light and cheap and if the remotes happen to go bad I don't know how you will able to adjust the lighting because I don't see universal remotes working in this instance.

Good for a starter home studio

This kit is by no mean pro grade or even prosumer grade. It's a starter kit that will allow you to setup your studio for very little money. As long as you intend to make it a permanent setup and have no plan on setting up and breaking down the lights, you will be fine and this kit will more than does the job. The lights are bright, the different lighting level/color can be controlled using a remote. You will get 2 remotes with the kit. I was excited thinking that I could control each light individually, but either remote will control both lights simultaneously. So just save one as a spare. The white screens come folded, so it will take some time to flatten out. You can artificially stretch it to speed up the process. Just don't try to iron it flat as it's very thin nylon like material. Over all I am quite pleased with this kit and I would imagine that any amateur/beginner studio photographers will as well.

Inexpensive Great Starter Kit

This is a great kit for personal as well as professional photoshoot. Extremely simple to set up. Whether you are doing YouTube videos, product photography or a photoshoot this kit serves the purpose at very low cost. It comes with its own carrying bag and protective cases so you can easily carry it around if needed. The remote controls help you easily adjust whatever kind of light and brightness you need. There are several modes you can pick from as per your requirements. The kit comes with LED bulbs which are better than any traditional bulbs Overall, I like this product and strongly recommend.

Photo Audio

I often buy and sell audio equipment to feed by audiophile habit. I also have a photography hobby but mainly photograph landscape and people. And, I've been kicking around the idea of upgrading my product photography equipment for when I post audio equipment for sale. So, my narrowed down my choices to white boxes or softbox lighting. I decided on softbox lighting because I want to get a professional equipment photo feel but not that equipment for sale on ebay look. And, I wanted something inexpensive and can easily store away. This led me to the YICOE. For someone who has never used softboxes, the YICOE is very simple to set up even without instructions. If you have experience using tripods, you should be able to set this up in less than 5 minutes. Now, I am not saying you will master using light boxes in 5 minutes. I am still far from getting the hang of it. However, YICOE is not only easy to set up but also easy to use. Screw the bulb into the light box, attach box to tripod and plug the bulb into an extension cord. I don't have a color temperature meter, but it's rather easy to set the color temperature to your desired level by eyeing it. The remote is very handy as it can control color temperature, light level and power on off. So, although the materials used is reflective of the price point, the ergonomics and effectiveness of the light boxes delivers. For my needs, I don't need to upgrade to a better one. I do supplement the brightness with a Neewer NW610II with a bounce filter attached mainly for making faster shutter speed available.

Impressive for a basic setup

I am NOT a pro-photographer, but I need this lighting for product photos and for added light for meditation videos. I have to say, I am IMPRESSED. EASY setup, stable stand, and the diversity of the dimming and color features is VERY important for indoor photography! There was one review that said the unit(s) kept tipping over, but I believe they didn't have the bottom tripod feet opened all the way. I will say if you are a pro photographer, you may wish to have the actual light boxes smaller, but perhaps that is preference. The only quick tip I can offer is that the remotes work best if you point directly at the front of the unit. When I set it up for a trial run, I had the lights pointed away from me and thought perhaps the remotes were defective. They were not. I just needed to move in front of the lights. One remote controls both simultaneously. Everything folds up nicely and it comes with a travel bag (that you CAN fit everything back into--- and STILL have a bit of room left :) and smaller bags for the stands. Very impressed. Would definitely recommend!

Very bright light that will improve the photography result

Before ordering this product, I was thinking that these big lights that will occupy a large space in my room but they are so smartly made that assembling and deassembling is very easy and after deassembling, everything fits easily in the bag which comes with that and I can keep that bag anywhere. Lighting temperatures are good and the bright white mode is very very bright. It also comes with remote for each light which is also comes in handy. If it can connect to dslr using some add on which will help to use light just like flash then it will be icing on the cake.

Fantastic set for videography home and biz

I got this kit for my husband's blog and youtube vlog, but also for my website design business. It was super simple to assemble. My 10 year old son was able to figure it out with minimal instruction and we were very pleased it came with the bulbs. Additionall, each lightbox comes with its own bag, and then there is another bag to carry the whole set. It stores very easily. We have 12 foot ceilings and these went up 10 feet without any issue, and each light has its own remote. Interesting side note, the remote for the lights appears to be on the same frequency as our HiSense Roku television. So it can turn on and control the volume of our tv. That was a very strange discovery. Also, the remotes are very small and ideally it would be nice if there was one remote that controlled both lamps so their are fewer parts to lose. The poles are sturdy enough aluminum style, which makes them lighter to carry but definitely gives them a cheaper quality, which for our beginner amateur process is fine. They have adjustable light warmth. I personally would recommend getting a light tester so you can ajust to to the right light temperature for your room and the time of day if you have some natural light.

Lightweight, portable, easy.

Lightweight. Easy to set up and take down. Portable. Travel bags included to keep everything contained and protected. I have access to lighting equipment at work but it will be nice to have a set at home that I don't have to haul back and forth.

A lot of light for a low price

Modern technology and Chinese manufacturing really have done wonders to bring formerly expensive gear down to reasonable prices. This softbox kit is a prime example. For under $100 you get diffuse light sources with variable brightness and color temperature. Each light is well made and easy to assemble. The softbox itself deploys and locks into shape easily and quickly. It's also easy and quick to screw in the LED bulbs and attach the covers. If there's anything to nitpick about it's the hardware where the softbox attaches to the light stands. It could be beefier but it's totally functional. I have a feeling it'll break if tightened too hard or forced in a lateral direction. I don't plan on manhandling my softboxes so I'm not too concerned. The light stands aren't Manfrotto quality but they more than sturdy enough to support the softboxes. The same nitpick about the hardware applies here as well. It's good enough but not super beefy and probably won't stand up to excessive abuse. The lights themselves are plenty bright and can be easily dimmed as needed. It's also easy to switch color temperatures. I used one remote and controlled both lights simultaneously. As near as I can tell without a meter, the color temperature and brightness is a good match between both lights as well. Each component (except the bulbs) comes with a bag and there's a larger bag that all the parts can be placed into. My wife makes jewelry and as been using a small softbox she made for product pictures. Her softbox is too small for some of the pieces she's making now but this kit is perfect. It's also great for taking product photos of things I sell on-line all the time. I can't believe how much you can get for this price point now. Super pleased.

Excellent Lighting for Business Photos

I got this softbox lighting kit to add different kinds of lighting to my wife's business photos and really be able to showcase her products. We don't have a studio room and we often have to take pictures in odd areas of the house with terrible lighting and phone flash can only do so much. Also being self employed means you work all hours of the day and we often have take photos without natural light as well. These Yicoe lights were honestly perfect for what we needed and even one light does an amazing job. Both lights were very easy to set up and both lights operate off of a separate remote which is nice because you can adjust lighting differently with each light. Both lights are extremely light weight and are very simple to adjust to get the right height or angle for your lighting. There are many options of lighting to chose from on the remote, but our go to is the warm setting. My only wish for these lights is to have a longer power cord, but it is doesn't uspet me enough to lose a star. I added a quick example of a tiered tray with Yicoe lighting it makes a huge difference in a hallway! Overall it is excellent set of lights for someone that is really trying to showcase and make that item catch someone's eye. If this review helped in your decision, please mark helpful.
