Not just for garages.

I installed three of these in various rooms in my house. I actually, removed three out-dated fixtures and installed simple ceramic bulb sockets (less than $2 at Home Depot or Lowes) and screwed these in them. They use less energy and provide far greater lighting. The side vanes are adjustable, allowing me to expand the light field into corners. Being basic white, they go in any medium/large room. These would be overkill in a bathroom, or utility room, but in my dining area, or bedrooms, they provide a simple alternative to fancy-pants fixtures. These are perfect for people who value substance over style. The best part is is that if it dies, I can just unscrew it and replace it in about one minute....

Very bright

Due to good reviews we took a chance and ordered 2 of the 60 watt bulbs. We are really glad we did. You can see in the pic the old yellow 100w equivalent flourescent bulbs. It is true...it's hard to look at the lights too long! Replacing 2 of the 4 should be enough....we don't "work" in the garage. Just wax the car or search for items on a shelf. If these hold up they are worth the investment. Easy to install...just screw in like a regular bulb. Can't be any easier.

Woah. These are amazing.

I have a large 3-car garage which has 4 light fixture outlets (hence, this 4-pack was really handy!) I've always struggled with getting the entire garage well-lit (especially way at the back, furthest from the light fixtures), and WOW do these lights ever do the trick!!! I liked mine so much I also bought a 4-pack for my dad to light up his smaller workshop area within his large quonset plus their 2-car garage (very old and poorly lit). He said their garage was so bright he only ended up using 1 bulb in there, and put the other 3 in his huge quonset and it lights that whole huge thing up VERY well! I know this sounds nerdy, but I'm blown away by how bright these things are!! As far as longevity, only time will tell, but I'll update the review if there are any concerns.

Stays Cool, Great Value, Affordable Brightener

This is the fourth bright LED light of this type that I have sampled, and it is far and away the best for indoor use. While the others are brighter, heavier, tougher, and come in a metal housing, they also get significantly hotter, which could be a problem indoors. Also, you might want to consider the slightly lower lumens on this unit might work better for indoor spaces, as we found out in our utility room. We used to have two standard hundred watt equivalent LED bulbs, but the space still felt dim and foreboding. As the packaging states, this one unit is worth five standard bulbs for brightness. I believe that. Add in the three available positions for the lamp wings, and you won’t have much trouble lighting every nook and cranny of your space. Also, the housing on this unit stays cool during operation. (You can comfortably touch it with bare hands when its on and not get burned, so it's also safe.) Installation is a piece of cake. Simply screw it into your standard bulb socket, set the “wings” at the desired angle, and you’re done.

Great for basement

These are extremely bright. I put them in my (unfinished) basement and they provide a lot of light. They are LEDs, with a total wattage of 60w. They are very energy efficient for the light delivered, so if you are replacing a 60W light with this, you get lots more light, but the same energy usage. It claims to have 6000 lumens, which is equivalent to 7.5 60W standard bulbs. Just note that obviously, these can't go inside a globe or any kind of enclosure - They have to be in an exposed socket. These also have the light in the center which some versions don't.

If You Want Shadowless Bright | Get 'em

I received these lamps as promised. Unboxing and install was, well, if you can safely screw in a light bulb you can mount these lamps. The build quality was okay. These are not industrial lamps. So, they won't take much abuse if mounted in an area or not high enough to not be hit. The design is very modern. The hinges articulate in a few positions via detents over 90° as they are designed. This is so you can aim the lights. As to brightness. WOW! AWESOME! They turned my dark basement into the equivalent of an operating room. They seem to reduce shadows. I cannot attest to longevity yet. Just installed.

Very bright white light!

Super bright! Cant go wrong with these to ligjt up dingy basement or dark attic!! Just screw in like regular bulb...looks like a fan...but blades are adjustable...put bright led light were you need it!! Several people I told also bought and love them!

Best light's I have ever purchased

Buy these, they are the best and brightist lights I have ever bought. Simply screw into light socket and turn on switch. I installed a light receptacle on the edge of my non lighted deck, now I can grill after dark and most of the yard is lighted. Theses are not outside rated lights, I put mine back under the roof far enough not to be in the weather. I put the second one in the front of my shop and it outshines my fluorescent screw in,in the back of the shop. Buy these you won't regret it in my opinion.

Great for Basement and/or Garage

These came as a four pack so it is a great value and I love the 2 year warranty. I purchased to use in my basement, the lights are really bright LED lights. I like that they are a breeze to install and adjust, just screw in and move “adjust” the arms, they offer more light over a traditional bulb because of the arms, a huge plus for me in the basement. I also like they are energy savings. Overall, a great value for energy saving bright lights. I plan to purchase more for garage.

Very bright and useful light! Love it!

These are super bright! I love them! Initially purchased to aid in plant starts but used the other one in my dim, dark, overcrowded closet - let there be light! As I age, I definitely need more and more light to see and this light delivers - immediately. Not one of those that has to ramp up to full brightness. Also is working fantastically for my garden seedlings. Plan to purchase more for other spots in the house!
