I love this microscope!!! I love the compact size and portability! I am a scientist who fell in love with the subject as a kid because of my access to science equipment (I was homeschooled, and my dad was a science teacher), so I purchased this microscope with the intention of introducing my nieces and nephews to science at a young age. This model is small, but not too small to handle as an adult. The material feels durable and easy to handle - I doubt even young kids can break it easily. I like that it is battery powered - now we can take our lab anywhere! My favorite part of the microscope is its high quality imagery. I literally gasped when I finally brought my specimen (a strand of hair) into focus on my first try. I was able to see miniscule features of my one strand of hair in such high definition that I could not look away. I am excited about what experiments I can conduct on my own, and the ones I will be able to design for and with the young people in my family! I have had experience with microscopes, and the instructions were still a little bit confusing. I would recommend the company put out a microscope tutorial, or the buyer look one up on youtube. Otherwise, I believe the machine can be learned pretty quickly. I am grateful that a high quality instrument that is portable and easy to use for adults and children is on the market and accessible. I look forward to using this for many years.

Top light wasn’t bright enough for what I needed but bottom light worked well. I used this for Microbiology and Human Anatomy. Perfect for what I needed (needed magnification of 600x or more) and saved me money. Purchasing through school would’ve been double the cost.

This was so easy to use. Keep in mind the power switch is a double throw with center off. Left is bottom light and right is top light. The intensity control works for whichever light is selected. Focus is very easy and clear. You probably will not need to use your glass as I was able to remove my reading glasses and focus perfectly with this scope table lift control. Only the two lower magnifiers were usable. The highest magnifier on the turret was not usable so far and I doubt it will ever be because it is just to strong. This is not a problem with the scope because that is the case with any scope I am, sure. Magnifying to 1000 or even beyond 600 is not usually usable. I am not an expert, but I have heard this from experts. Therefore, any scope you buy with magnification of 1000 or higher is more of a gimmick. I am still giving it 5 stars because the two lower magnifiers are commonly usable settings and work great. I will keep trying the 3rd magnifier and see if anything can come of it, but the second magnifier is so powerful that depth-of-field is very shallow. Therefore, it makes sense the 3rd strongest magnifier will be near impossible to use if not completely so. But again, this will be the case with any scope you buy. It runs on batteries, but plugging in the power supply switches from battery to wall power. There is a mechanical switch that triggers when the power supply is plugged in. A nice effect is that if you focus with the 10x ocular and then switch to the 25x, it pretty well remains in focus. The fine adjust work great. Under the table is a rotating wheel that switch between seven different diameter condenser holes, but it had little effect for me. I would have preferred to rotate between colored filter lenses. I may find some colored plastics and modify this unit to rotate a few colors. All in all, this scope works great. It is not too large and doesn't need to be assembled. Therefore, it can be easily returned to its box for storage. However, it does come with a little cover. It will also accept standard scope cameras in place of the eye piece.

I’m teaching high school biology and have tried many brands of microscopes. This is a great little scope for the price range. It is easy to use, love the cordless option, dual light option and the swivel. Most importantly, it works! All three magnifications come into focus well. The fine focus Could be a little tighter but I’ve found this to be true with all microscopes in this price range. Unless you’re going to pay a lot more, you can’t do much better than this.

We use this for homeschool science activities. It's very well made and has several different magnification and lighting options, as well as the option to use the wall plug or batteries (both included!) for the light. Definitely a great purchase!

I'm a microscopy amateur who doesn't want to spend a ton of cash pursuing my hobby. This scope does really nicely for my needs. I was deciding between this and Amscope model, but chose Swift because the triangular base took up less space. I know I'm not getting the level of optics or precision that much more expensive microscopes can offer, but for what I want to look at, this microscope is great! Love that the dual light lets me use stereo mode too.

Great features and quality at a very good price. Bought to explore nature with grandson. Lighting works so well for bugs, feathers, leaves and flowers of all kinds. Focus knobs work well and are simple to use. Springs on slide holders make positioning easy. Swivel eyepiece makes sharing fun. Light weight, well designed handle and battery power make moving it anywhere in house a pleasure. One of our favorite learning tools. Very good quality.

Really well made. Easy to focus. Several different power lenses. Have not hooked up to computer yet but the quality of all the parts are well made. Metal base, not plastic. Bought for our 10 year old son who showed interest and it's worked perfect for that without breaking the bank.

I bought this for my wife. She loves it. And all the features it has. 360 rotating eye piece. Duel light. Wireless or wire electronics. Clarity of a full range of magnification. Fine adjustments.

I got this to help with my amateur mycology. It is great for identifying spores. The light works great, it focuses well, and provides a good clear view. I also like the swiveling eye piece. Over all I am very happy with this microscope.
