Retired and didn’t go the expensive trailer or dedicated RV. Opted for a truck with truck bed tent, air mattress and gas grill. First trips were fine with an ice cooler but they’re heavy and something always gets waterlogged. So I looked around and found IceCo, just missing their GoFundMe campaign as a startup. Very happy with the size, the 12 liter smallest unit, the price and the electrical operating options (home plugin, car 12V accessory port, and lithium battery with solar recharge). It works really well, cools quickly AND it’s gorgeous, like a little Art Deco piece. The company kept me informed of shipping and it arrived, double boxed safely and ready to go camping.

Edit: I’m not going to change the rating but I do want to l leave and update about a problem I had which apparently some other reviewers also had. While I was away from the truck, the cigarette lighter plug popped out of the socket to the AC adaptor the refrigerator came with. It doesn’t seem to lock in very well, probably because the spring for the tip is too strong. Fortunately I saw the problem before my food spoiled but it could have been bad. I fixed to problem by wrapping electrical tape around the connection point to hold them together but frankly, I should not have needed to do that. Iceco should really address that as it also pops out when plugged into a cigarette lighter socket. Still think it’s a very good refrigerator otherwise. So bought the GO20 to use as a 2nd refrigerator/freezer for use in my Peterbilt 579. For the space that it needed to occupy and the price, it seemed to be the best option. I will say, that if your putting it in a standard 579 like mine versus and Ultraloft, and have a 24” TV mounted to the standard mount that comes in the Peterbilt, you will need to attach a swivel mount and have the tv at and angle while traveling. In theory based on the dimensions it should fit without the modification but the angle of the back corner of the wall as well as the need to keep the grill on the refrigerator clear means your shy about and inch for all practical purposes. It will fit but it pushes on the tv pretty solidly and a few bumps down the road are going to break the tv. A 22” tv or smaller shouldn’t need any modifications. The refrigerator has and app to control it on iOS and Android. I’m iOS so I can’t speak to Android functionality but on the iPhone it works flawlessly. I’ve seen some other people complain they couldn’t pair the refrigerator with their phone but my experience is you don’t need to. Once you install the app, when it’s near the refrigerator, it just see’s it without needing to go into the Bluetooth menu and pairing. I think it’s using something akin to Ultra Wide Band versus standard Bluetooth to connect. There’s a whole thing in the book about how to calibrate the temp settings versus a thermometer but I didn’t need to do that. The super chill feature will get the left side down to close to zero in about 45 minutes and it will freeze water bottles rather quickly. I find its easiest to set parameters in the app versus on the touch pad on the refrigerator. Everything on mine already came using American units but that can be switched in the app if your feeling French. Reliability in the truck is a mixed bag. It seems to have a hard time maintaining temps when plugged into the cigarette lighter when the truck has been off for a while and I think that has everything to do with the the battery protection built in. It just doesn’t do a good job of sending the actual voltage so even when you set the refrigerator to the lowest protection level, it wants to think your available voltage is lower than it is and I’m running 1kw of solar panels. That’s the bad. The good is that if you have a decent true sine wave inverter like a Xantrax or the one that comes with a Tripac, it will run off of that and all those issues go away. It will not work on a normal inverter like what most of the truck stops sell and if you’ve got a small auxiliary true sine wave inverter, like the little 300 watt one I’m running it’s going to pop it’s protection circuit. My 1000/1500 watt Xantrax seems to be able to run this, a 1000 watt microwave and a couple of battery chargers no problem at the same time. If your going to buy this to use in a truck like I did, your either going to want to buy the grey one that comes with the insulating bag or if you just have to have white, splurge on the bag for $59. The refrigerator is very shiny and the space between the wall and the mattress is tight with a small knob sticking out for the passenger sleeper window. Your going to scratch the heck out of it without the bag. The thing seems to be very energy efficient but I’m guessing the insulated bag helps a lot. Shipping time was not good. It took almost three months to get to me so I am just a bit worried if it needs warranty. I’m guessing that has a lot to do with COVID 19 so I’ll just hope it stays reliable. There where a couple other options I found that would have been a slightly better fit but the amount of storage in them wasn’t as good. There where some others that where using the good compressor that this frig uses that also would have fit and have decent room inside but they where all way more expensive. Shiny plastic shell aside, the GO20 seems to be a well designed machine and it is sturdy. If it holds up which I think it will, it’s dollar for dollar the best bang for the bucks I’ve found and I looked long and hard. I think if your looking for and extra truck frig, you probably can’t go wrong with this frig.

I like the size for easy portablity. It works silently, I have it set L/R to lowest settings that maintain temperature within a few degrees all the time! I've had it plugged in (110 V) since. I placed my order on 7/1/20 received on 7/22/20. I waited (24 hrs) before plug in, to let compressor settle from shipping. It also came with a protective insulated cover to help maintain temp. and outside case, it will always look new ! I'm useing it for frozen foods since my fridge has a small freezer. I can assure you, you won't be disappointed ! I also purchesed (ICECO Refrig. thermometer with 2 wireless sensors that you can monitor remotely what temps are at the time,($19,99) worth every pennie ! If you go to place order for fridge don't be surprised if it's out of stock, they sellout stock quickly, it's that great !

Excellent product in design, materials, and function. It is small. But it will hold a gallon of milk (laid sideways, not vertically), plus some bagged lunch meats and salad stuff. Nothing in boxes that waste space. That’s all I need. I would estimate it will hold about 10-12 soda cans. But, I wanted a small one for my space. I camp alone most of the time. If you need more than a few things kept cold or you drink a lot of canned drinks, go with the bigger ones. ALL 12-volt fridges vary in temperature. This one hovers around a five degree range. So, if I set it for 32, it will allow the temp to go up to about 37 before the very, very quiet compressor kicks in and takes it to about 32 again. It uses about 2.5 amps per hour. Iceco products are every bit as good or better than Dometics for far less money. They are also quite nice looking. It is hard to explain. The ones in this product line are like Apple computers in their design, only cheaper, of course. They are lovely - and they also keep your food cold and are easy to use.

This is a great little refrigerator holds the temperatures well. Keeps everything cold and frozen! The only thing that I had a problem with was the DC cord kept popping loose and you had to keep an eye out for it. But I got a hold of their customer service and they sent me a new DC cord and now it works like it is supposed to. The picture of the DC cord that works is the one with the red tip. Great Customer Service!!!

Just unboxed this GO20 and it is well made and came up to temp quickly! Definite freezer side that gets cold! Quieter than I thought it would be too. Door only mounts one way, cannot change orientation but not a problem for me personally. App works well on the iOS platform. I’ll be anxious to see how it dies in the heat, have to wait until spring/summer.

I have run this fridge/freezer for three days, Perfect for freezing or as a fridge. Nice to to have the center seperator to freeze and refrigerate. Remove the partition to have all refrigerator or freezer, With a Zachery 500, it will run for 14 hrs, using only 50% of the battery charge. Great to not have to look for ice when overlanding

I've only owned this product for two weeks now but I have been very impressed with its simplicity and does exactly what you buy it for, it keeps your stored items cold/frozen. The size of it is also perfect for a discreetly looking cooler in the corner of any room. The LED fridge light when opening the cooler door was also a very nice touch for when trying to access items in the evening.

I was very impressed with this product! It will come with me on every road trip I take with my car and keep my food and beverages cold while at home.

Wow I am so impressed with the quality of this refrigerator. Very solid construction and works as advertised. Great value compared to other more expensive ones.
