I bought this for college!

During my freshman semester at college, this Corona-virus pandemic started. I started classes on campus in classrooms. Now I'm taking them on zoom. because my Lenovo IdeaPad came with a weak microphone I bought this. Before it arrived my fellow classmates and professors had trouble hearing me on occasion. Now with this set from Movo Sevenoak there is no problem with being heard. Plus when using the USB sound card the speech from everyone on zoom is very clear. The sound card also improves audio for old games, such as Doom, Doom II, Roller Coster Tycoon Deluxe, Strife. Emulators for older games. For those interested my Lenovo IdeaPad is running Windows 10 64 bit, 16GB ram, with a AMD A6 CPU. This really is the perfect setup for the perfect price. Thank you!

Great Mic, Great Price

I was actually looking for a wireless mic but then I found this one. The cord was nice and long which I liked so I decided to give it a try. It came quickly and I started using it right away. Due to COVID-19 I am having to participate in online meetings and I have to record lessons for my students. This mic has great sound quality and is easy to use. It was a great investment. The only small thing I have noticed is the wind screen doesn't stay on very well but aside from that everything is great.

Great mic, I underestimated it because of its price.

This mic works exactly as advertised. The sound source is clear and easily distinguishable and the mic seems to be well built. I use it for Microsoft Teams meetings and the one person no one has to ask to repeat themselves is me! It also comes with a really nice wind screen. You do have to fiddle with the wind screen a bit to get it to stay on properly (for example, I twist mine while pressing down.) After that, the wind screen will stay on really tight. I love the chord length. It also comes with its own chord-tying thing so you don't have a lot of cable if you don't need it. The USB adapter comes with both a mic and headphone jack. I use my laptop's jack for the headphones though since the sound quality from the USB sound card has a lot of treble but no bass, so the sound quality isn't too good. This doesn't hinder the mic though, and I bought this for the mic. It's nice to no longer have to wear my over-the-ears headset anymore for really long Teams meetings at work! It's definitely worth the price. You don't need anything more expensive than this mic. It does the job really well. One of the features that stood out is that it has an on/off switch, so now I can mute myself without pressing mute in Teams. I prefer the hardware to control my mute status so this is a very nice plus! The mic is omnidirectional. I get the best sound with having it clipped to my shirt collar as opposed to near my chest, but I'm sure it'd do just fine if clipped there as well. The clip is strong and keeps the mic in place--and this is coming from someone who wears the mic for eight hours a day. It won't move at all once you clip it. One thing not listed as of this writing is that this mic does require a battery. I don't remember which one now, but if you do plan to use it with the USB adapter you will need a battery.

Set it up right for success

This product works well, especially for those of us who are video conferencing at home all of a sudden. I am teaching online, and the sound quality even with this inexpensive microphone makes a big difference. Have mercy on those who you are speaking to. The package contained more than I needed. Installing the battery is tricky, especially since I didn't do it right the first time. Also make sure that you have your computer settings ready to receive a microphone. People who have left comments saying that the product doesn't work either didn't install the battery right or haven't set up their settings to recognize the new microphone.

Lil'l Mic's a Real Pro Sound Performer

EZ clip-on microphone with abundant cord length works great for video conferencing. Records onto smart phones and cameras. Well-made product with professional aesthetics. Super value for the money. Highly recommend. I am not a paid spokesperson for Movo.

Does the job very well.

The microphone picks up voice very well and gives me the flexibility for recording church services on either my smartphone or laptop during this coronavirus crisis. A great little mike for a very reasonable price.

Bang for the buck!

My theater group is doing a production via Zoom on several different desktops, laptops, tablets, etc. The sound level and quality was all over the place, and a distracting level of room sound. Headsets were deemed too visually distracting. As a sound and video guy, it fell to me to find a solution. For 20 bucks, this little mic delivers the goods when it comes to discreet quality sound. The capsule is hard to tell apart from my Sennheiser lav at literally 10x the cost.

Although it does not work for my purpose, it is a great product

I mainly purchased this for my pc. I did try on my MacBook and android phone to test with. I was amazed how clear and crisp my voice being picked up. Then, I tried it with pc. My pc does have both TRRS and TRS jacks. For some reason, the mic did not work with TRS jack. I also tried USB adapter that was included in the package. I know that people have had issues with 3.5mm jacks due to the slight difference in appearances to know which one works with their devices. OK, so if the audio jacks do not work, then USB should work, correct? I would assume so, but nope, it was not working with the USB adapter either, so I returned the product. The seller was nice enough to refund it, even without the original packaging ( I though I would definitely keep it after testing on my MacBook and cell phone, without foreseeing the possibility of not working with my pc. Anyway, this was a very good quality product though. That's why I gave it a 5 star

For Zoom Bible Study Group

I am using an older laptop for my Zoom Bible Study group, and the audio was not very good, so I got this external mic to improve the sound quality. According to my group, it seems to have improved the sound quality for the meetings. I don't have to sit so close to the laptop to get good sound, and that helps to get a wider shot of myself and my husband for the group...Works just like I needed!

Very clear sound quality in an affordable, easy-to-use device.

I purchased the lavalier mic for ongoing online presentations I get to do to manage social distancing requirements as a Chaplain for a continuum of care retirement community not yet ready to hold in-person gatherings. Since many of my listeners who dial in on their phones and have challenges with their hearing it was important for me to have a device that captures high quality sound. This device more than exceeded my hopes and expectations. And it's very easy to use: literally, plug and play. The enhancement of this device over the onboard mic on my MacBook Air is substantial. It's well made and has several options for a variety of applications. The 20' connector frees me up to move about (as I would naturally) as I speak. I am impressed and very happy I made this purchase.
