Great Compact Emergency Item

After receiving this, charged it up and started two vehicles with it. Worked great. A few things to keep in mind. From the T8 user manual....the lifetime of the T8 is 3-5 years in normal condition, in order to extend the service life it should be recharged every 3 months. It will hold a charge for 6-12 months. So don't expect this to save you if its been in the trunk for several years or more. I like the compact design plus the accessories that came with it. Two USB ports (10A nd 2.1A) plus a 12V socket adapter. And it functions as a flashlight. Comes in a nice zip case. I would consider this a supplemental backup to a set of regular jumper cables. For convenience or when there is no one around to give you a start.

Excellent performance!

I’ve been looking for a jump start device for a while. Especially for emergency’s/ road trip. I was about to get another one when I came across this model which states to be powerful enough to start a Diesel truck. So I didn’t want to write a review until I had the full experience. So I needed to use our Dually F-250 diesel truck and since it sits most of the time we only use it when we need to haul so battery’s died. And as we know diesel uses 2 batteries and I got the moment of truth. I grabbed my device and yes I charge it first per instructions. Connected cable to device and at proper setting for dead start per instructions and then connected to the main battery. IT WORKED!!! No hesitation no problem. After that device showed 97% of charge remaining. I’m impressed extremely happy and confident that if it worked on a diesel for sure a regular vehicle. Light feature is great and love very handy as well. I love that in comes in a case. Compass is another key featured. Please note I’m really not the person to be writing reviews. However I do when it’s really important such as this item. Hope it was of help.

Peace of mind!!

I always wanted a portable jumpstarts but they were never good until recently. This one was the best bang for buck and def gives my family and I a peace of mind when driving one of our old cars that tend to have random discharged batteries. This jumper is small, feels durable, and easy to use. Took less than a min to hook it up, wait, and jump star the car. Def a 5/5 stars and hopefully it will last a few years.

Great car jump starter that works

After it arrived and I opened the box it was still at 82% charge. I was hesitant that it would jump start a COMPLETELY dead car battery because of some of the reviews. Well I can tell you honestly (at least in my case) it did. We have a back up car we keep around that usually sits in the yard. An 03 Ford Taurus that we rarely drive. I really only keep it around because it was my mothers car. I needed to move it to mow grass and the battery had been dead for a couple weeks. My pre-schooler had gotten in and popped the trunk leaving the light on and battery go dead. Followed directions and even at 82% charge this unit was able to crank the car over no problem. I was pleasantly surprised. Will be ordering a couple more to keep in our daily drivers. Much better than hooking up cables from car to car. Hope it holds up! And the storage case is a plus too.

Super compact

My mom (bless her sole) bought me a jump start kit that’s huge. This is a much needed replacement as it’s roughly the size of a football (or smaller) In it’s case with all the accessories. I use it In my camper van so I like the idea of being able to charge a phone in an emergency situation. I haven’t had to use it yet, but it really did feel quality made. Plus, operating this looks pretty straightforward and you can charge it with a cigarette lighter once you get your battery back to life.

Convenient to use, must have in your car

I am a traveller. I drive a lot specially I drive much in the countryside. I always carry a jumper cable but it need another car to jum start one. Therefore, I got this car jump starter and I love this product. Yesterday I used this to jump start one of my friends' car. It has a very powerful flashlight and can be used as a phone charger too. Really loved the thing. The travel bag is vert useful. Good thing is , it can be charged using both car cigarette port and using socket

Should be a Tacklife JumpStarter in Every Car!

Have now purchased jump starters for myself and each of my adult children. These units are great and so incredibly handy to have in the car. Extremely easy to use (& many uses). Unused, holds it’s charge for a year - that’s important so it’s charged when you need it. Compact case and easy to store in your vehicle. Unit does NOT charge your auto battery - but it will jump start and get you going without needing a second vehicle to connect to for a jumpstart. WILL charge your phone or other mobile electronics. Every car should have one. Definitely recommend!

Jumped my very dead battery.

I have a 2011 Honda Accord two door and due to COVID I kept finding my car with a dead battery. This last time the battery was almost completely dead. Maybe one fat electron left. The instructions are pretty straight forward. Hook up the clamps to the correct terminals and look for status lights on the jumper cable adapter. If it is just run down a green light comes on and crank. That's it. If your battery is really dead no light or buzzer will come on and there is a "boost" button to press and start within 30 seconds. I did this and started my car like I normally would. Moved the key from on to start and the engine turned about as fast as it would with a charged battery. After it turned over I let go of the key like normal and it immediately died. It doesn't say to do this but after a few failed attempts I held the key all the way to start without letting it go back to on for about twenty seconds or so. When I finally let it go it continued to run. I got out and disconnected the device. I let it idle for a few minutes and then zipped up and down the highway for about half an hour just to be safe. Stopped and got gas and when I was done it cranked just fine. When I got back home I looked at the led display and 90% charge was left in the device. I thought for sure it would have been depleted. The flashlight and USB ports are handy. I'm getting two more of these for my parents.

Great Little Versatile Charger / Jump Starter

The TackLife system is fantastic. I have too many cars and therefore some don't get driven quite enough; and I forget to put them on maintainers. The result is I have several jumper boxes. The TackLife is the only one easy to take with me. It does a great job in jumping. Used it four times to jump my antique truck before breaking down and getting a new battery - all without charging the TackLife. Of course it also can be used yo recharge your electronics (phone, usb speaker, pads, etc) through a USB-A outlet. I only have two (non-fatal) flaws: (1) the battery clamps are a little too limited in jaw opening, and (2) the system comes with so many option it is diffficult to fit them all into the very nice bag. Buy one and you will not regret the purchase.
