I’m glad I bought it.

I went with this one because of the ability to connect via WiFi. I use an iPhone and a Chromebook, so the other similar models I saw wouldn’t work because of the need of driver software. But this one was easy to connect to my devices through the recommended app. It’s actually pretty sturdy and the light is bright enough to view anything I’ve put in front of it. The picture quality isn’t great, but it is plenty good enough to keep the kids interested and to catch a quick shot for sharing. This is a solid buy for $40.

Great and affordable portable microscope

Excellent portable microscope operated via a phone app with magnification options reported to be up to 1000x. Easy to set up, can be hand held but I would recommend setting up on the included stand because you will get a lot of motion exaggeration at high magnification. See pics for magnification levels.

Great tool at a great price

While I was working, my 6-year-old was trapped at home when the coronavirus broke out. I've been trying to find interesting activities that make him happy and keep him away from TV and tablets. I found this and thought, if it works, great! Wow, that's interesting, especially for my son, who is still very young. We've seen everything from socks to stones to cured breasts. It took me a long time to download the driver to my laptop, but once it did, it worked as recommended. There is also a pamphlet to solve the most common problems!

Handy for teaching

I bought this to help teach kids because I can display the material on the computer projector and keep everyone's attention. This is much easier than trying to help 20 students with individual microscopes or having them crowd around mine while I teach. Set up was pretty simple and I had it talking to my laptop in no time. Stand is sturdy and doesn't move around while in use and the light is plenty bright for even 1000x magnification.

Easy Setup limited practical range.

It's amazing that it's magnified and quality with a cheap price. Large FYI it comes to focus close zoom, but to adjust, remove the plastic flash diffuser, and then zoom so you see the lens pointing out. Then you can screw out and screw in to adjust the focus! This made me take the camera like a foot away, still zoom in on the motherboard to do maintenance and soldering. It's a terrible price camera!

Works great!!!!!

You can see the grease that your hair follicles produce. That is great! Zoom is not perfect, most items can only work with almost maximum and minimum zoom. But it's absolutely cool, and it has a very heavy clamping base, and its small bracket would be great, but it doesn't, and it usually falls off. But you can use the base. If you ever want to know what the world around you looks like under a microscope, this is a useful and inexpensive way to find out!

Very handy! I like it!

I connected the microscope to my cell phone. I just downloaded one of the recommended apps, plugged it in, and it worked perfectly. The quality of the camera is really good. You have to put the microscope close to the subject, or it will blur. When I took pictures of the roots and fibers of my sweatpants, my hands were shaking, but the microscope took a fairly clear picture.

This is a great buy!

I've been using it for more than a month, and it still works well, producing amazing quality images. This microscope is amazing and useful. I can use it for hours, but it's still fun. The pictures it makes are so amazing that you can even see the details you don't know. It's one of the best things I've ever bought on Amazon.
