looks and feels good, not too heavy
They look and feel well made. With a little customer service help, and a couple extra pictures from Vivian, I was able to understand the instructions and put them together without any problems. In the next week or 2, I will be able to mount the racks on my vehicle, and try them out. Fingers crossed.. Update..we have fabricated racks to attach them to, since my Mega cab Ram doesn't come with such a thing. We attached them to a custom rack that i put my camping π tote boxes on to travel. We will hopefully do a test drive today or next week.ππ€

Well Engineered Rack
The instruction could be improved, but overall the product was pretty easy to assemble and install. Itβs really well made and looks great!

Impressive kayak rack
I have not actually used this rack yet but I am extremely impressed with the quality. It feels really solid, the foam cushions seem to be substantial and durable. I like the folding mechanism and I like the fact that it is aluminum. No worries about rust. I was also impressed with the shipping time. Amazon's estimate was for well over a month. I contacted the shipper and they assured me it would deliver much sooner. I took a chance and placed the order. It arrived in less than a week. In fact, it delivered even before Amazon said it shipped The only things I would like to see done differently would be more cushion on the bottom flat part and some means of keeping the straps more toward the top of the vertical hoop. I would say this rack is every bit as good as the Thule Compass and is $100 less.

Works extremely well, ordering a second
This was very simple to install. I have it on ladder racks in the back of my Silverado, and purchased longer bolts as I the rack is thicker than the stock bolts will encompass. One of my favorite features is that I can drag the kayak up on the rack with the vertical beam lowered and then slide the kayak to the outside, stand it up and then erect the vertical beam and lock it in place with one hand. I no longer have to lift the kayak over the vertical beam. With 4 boats in these racks, I will still have room to walk (sideways) in between the middle two so I can access the front of the boats to strap them down.

Quality carrier
This roof carrier is extremely well made. It was easy to install on my crossbars. Adjusting the middle bar is simple and can be done quickly. Tie down straps were included. Only one con - the instructions are seriously lacking necessary information. Found the info online.

Amazing rack and simple to use, anyone can do it.
LOVE this rack. Easy to use, love that it folds down, and by far the simplest of racks to use. I have no issue getting a 12'pungo up on top of my RAV4 and securing it all by myself. HIGHLY recommend this rack.

Great kayak mount.
Very easy to assemble. Great to use with kayak lying down or standing on side. Went on interstate no problem.

It comes as a two piece set up
So far so good, it came within straps as a bonus

Copy of the installation instructions received from IKURAM
The rack is well made but the installation instructions are awful! I emailed the company for instructions, as others had suggested, and received an answer back in a couple hours. Once installed (and having watched online videos of how to secure the kayaks to the vehicle) the racks worked wonderful and held both kayaks securely. Here is the email with pictures that I received from IKURAM. . . Actually our Kayak rack can be installed for two ways according to your 3 uses: 1. For the SUP and kayak You need install our all accessories, then put the SUP or kayak to top of the item number 8 (clamping plate) and use rope to tie down the SUP to the Kayak rack, please see attached picture 2. For the ski board You don't need install our item number 3 (25x5000mm strap), and don't put the item number 8 (clamping plate) firstly, when all accessories are installed then put your ski board to the Kayack rack. Lastly, you can use item number 8 (clamping plate) on the top of the ski board to tie down the ski board, please see attached picture I hope I can help you, if you have other problems please tell me, I will be happy to serve you Have a great day Vivian

Very good rack
Cons: Incomplete instructions. However I received an email reply within 4 hours with complete instructions so I won't hold that against them. Pros: Very sturdy. I just made a 1,060 mile round trip with 2 10' kayaks without any issues. (Toyota Rav4 with Brightline crossbars). I did add bow and stern tie-downs that were not included with the purchase. I would recommend this product, however I see it isn't in stock anymore. Glad I bought it when I did!
