A perfect fit

I confirmed the item by taking the numbers off of the original gas strut, did my google search and of course found it on Amazon. The package arrived on the day that it was scheduled to. Removed the old struts with a flathead screwdriver and just clipped in the new ones. The rear window of my cap no longer whacks me in the head as the new struts keep the window up as it used to when new. FYI, struts that came with the ARE cap lasted 13years. Hope these from Vepagoo do the same.

I noticed the lifts on my Mom’s old truck topper were worn out. Using info from the old lifts I found these on Amazon and ordered them. These are FAR better than the ones that Fleer used on my cap. Are used to be able to close the window with one hand on the corner because it never opened 100% of the way. Now it opens all the way on its own and I had to close it from the center for fear of breaking the window. These are amazing

Just get them

These gas struts are an exact replacement for the originals on a bed cap from 2002 although produced by a different company. They are very stiff and hold the glass up very well. No more prop rod or head whacks for this guy without breaking the bank. They install easily with a flat blade screwdriver by just prying the retaining clips half way out to clear your ball mounting points. Don't hesitate, just get them and enjoy your cap like it was when new.

Fixed my camper shell hatch

My camper shell is now 9.5 years old. During cold weather you had to push the rear window up and many times it would not stay up. Saw these on Amazon and said what the heck and placed the order. Waiting for the order, I checked a couple of YouTube vids and thought it can't be that easy. Guess what it was. When they arrived, got out the proper screwdriver and it took less than 5 minutes to change out the gas shocks. Now when you open the rear window, move it a few inches and it opens the rest of the way on it's own.

Camper shell lift actuators

Removing was a little bear because the clips. Don't just pull out so you have to be pulling on. The rod while you're pulling the clip and it would be a lot easier with two people wanting to hold the tailgate up on the camper shell. Otherwise once I got it off, it was pretty simple. As far as installation, I didn't realize you didn't need to pull the clip. All you do is just snap it on.

I received the struts and they were easy to install. I liked the ability to confirm fitting prior to ordering which reduces the amount of time and headache involved in retuning the products.
