OMG- I read so many glowing reviews, and I needed to do something. My 60 year old ears were not hearing the dialog on TV shows well at all. I had to blare the TV to hear the small talk, but also made everything else too loud. Believe the hype. This speaker has changed my life! I guess Bose has the technology to pull the dialog out while not booming everything else, because this is a fantastic speaker. I can keep the volume at a reasonable level and still hear everything being said. The best part- it sounds natural and unaltered. If this speaker broke tomorrow, I'd order another one immediately. Couldn't be happier.

Much clearer vocals and overall volume level control

Great upgrade from TV speakers! As long as you understand what this speaker is meant for, it will meet expectations. A speaker at this price point is giving you better audio by providing a boost in bass and clarity. It isn't a sound bar that'll blow you away during movies. That's why they don't advertise it as such a speaker. No speaker below $300 is going to deliver great movie quality audio. Vocals are greatly improved over TV speakers. I used to turn audio up just to hear voice then get overwhelmed when music or other sounds kick in. This speaker provides great volume control over the sound spectrum. When the clarity feature is enabled it's even better. Setup is easy. Understanding the lights can be difficult but watching Bose setup video on YouTube makes it much more clear. Overall great for hearing voices and delivers a bit more than a TV can produce. I believe it's priced well. I tried a few 2019 LG sound bars (and subs) under $300, and while they provided much more power than the TV speakers, they didn't do well providing clear voice. I recommend LGs line up for better bass and power but if it's clarity and overall volume level control the Bose is the right speaker.

I can hear again!

This is much improved over the Bose Solo 5 TV speaker. It uses a new 3 speaker array. I compared the Costco version side by side with this new model and this blows it out of the water. I can understand dialog again at the touch of a button! I only removed 1 star because I paid retail....

Oh yes daddy

I love my new speaker from Bose. This is the best quality speaker I've had in a really long time. Originally, I always had us set up with the subwoofer usually from brands from Vizio. To be honest, I thought those were the best qualities set ups you could possibly have but after giving this a shot I can see how much of a difference it makes to have one quality speaker. Make sure to buy it, daddy approves!

Great speaker and audio experience!

This speaker is amazing! Does it replace a 7.2 Dolby experience, probably not, but rich, warm, clear and easy to use. I have to be honest, for a single speaker setup, it's surprising how great the audio experience is. I definitely recommend!

The dialogue feature works!

For years I was bothered by my old Sony TV sound speaker because the movie dialogue was hard to hear. Just received this Bose TV speaker yesterday and had it hooked up in less than five minutes. The sound quality is good, but most importantly the dialogue feature indeed make watching movie a much better experience! Loving it!

Probably worth the money.

You can buy a set of proper speakers or studio monitors at the same price and get louder with better quality. But those units don't have bluetooth, rarely have a remote control, and don't go into standby or turn off without approach. This is designed specifically for a hands-free entertainment system, and it's decent. The speaker can in fact get very loud, you just need to adjust the volume both at the source and using the Bose's remote control. I can imagine a lot of users miss that. All things considered, this is the best sound bar I've tried.

The Perfect Sound Bar

Perfect sound bar for my small living room. Easy to setup. Has quality sound making it easy to hear vocals (even on the lowest level) and music in movies. The base sound is good for a bar this size. Make sure you use the HDMI ARC connection instead of the optical connection if you have one on your TV so you can control the sound level using your regular TV remote. HDMI ARC also allows the auto power on and off feature to be enabled so when you turn on the TV, the sound bar turns on. For the average person wanting quality sound, look no further. This is it.

Best speaker for the money

Best investment you can buy for hearing clearly on your TV. As many of you know there are some channels where it’s difficult to hear clearly so I did my research and read the reviews here online. Most of the reviews agree that this speaker is great for those who have difficulty hearing. There are a few buttons on the remote that will enable clear sounds and increase bass or decrease bass. Excellent purchase you will not regret.
