ok, since Covid began, i have been working at home and i have about 2-3 weekly video conferences. I absolutely do not like the built-in camera on my surface book and i have already gone through 2 other webcams but i just don't like their limitations and performance. I opted to shell out a few extra bucks for this camera and i couldn't be happier. I noticed the difference immediately out of the box as it was a bit more rugged-looking and heavier and yes the picture is fantastic. I also like how it has the stick on a privacy cap and an option for a tripod.

Pretty decent web cam for the price!! Super easy to set up just plug it in. I put 5 stars over all, and 4 on the picture quality just cuz I thought it would be a little better but Honestly you get what you pay for so I don’t know what I was expecting. It’s got a little bit of a fish eye look cuz it’s the 180 degrees but it looks real nice! If you need it for Teams or school it’s perfect.

I bought this for home, but it works so well and easily I took it to work for meetings! I'm going to buy another one for home.

Love so easy just plug in and start using it!

Easy to set up and does what I needed. I know it's petty but I like the shield. When not in use, I'll probably disconnect it.

This product arrived the next day. Less than 24 hours after ordering the camera. I opened the package, plugged the camera in to my USB slot and Windows 10 installed the drivers and it was ready to go. High quality picture and worked on a Zoom and MS Teams call immediately. Perfect for what I need. My wife will also use it for teaching classes for E-Learning.

I bought this camera for distance learning—I’m a teacher. It works beautifully! Nice, crisp picture (you have to adjust the settings in your meeting) and clear, bright sound from the mic. The cover for the camera works well; I just wish it stayed attached to the camera and flipped up and down. It looks like that in the picture, but it is a separate piece that detaches completely. It is super easy to use—literally plug-and-play. This is a great deal!

I recently purchased both NexiGo’s 1080p webcam [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088TSR6YJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1] and AUROARC’s 1080p webcam [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DNLN9Z6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1] – hoping to offer a thorough comparison of the two for any deliberating which to purchase! I get long-winded, so… TLDR(?): Both webcams offer a good deal for the selling $ and cover any general uses you might require a webcam for! However, several distinct additional features [face beautifying filter (subtle but impactful), included tripod, etc.] give AUROARC the leading edge – especially considering the $10 saved! Overview – below, I compare: (1) packaging, (2) camera hardware, (3) privacy caps, (4) instructions and setup process, (5) image quality, and (6) extra features. (1) Packaging Both come in relatively small cardboard boxes (accommodates most mailbox size constraints). --NexiGo’s is roughly half the size of AUROARC’s, including the webcam (some protective wrapping with a small plastic bag), privacy cap, and instruction leaflet. --AUROARC’s webcam, privacy cap, leaflet, and tripod come in a partitioned plastic tray, offering a slight advantage in damage resistance. (2) Camera Hardware Both cameras are comparable in size, cord length, technical specs, etc. Where they differ is: --The Mount [the plastic tab you’ll use either as a baseplate/stand, or hook over your laptop’s screen]. NexiGo’s is roughly twice in length, breadth, width as AUROARC’s – accordingly, were each to be rested ‘precariously’ on a desk, it would take greater effort to topple NexiGo’s than AUROARC’s (though both admirably balance weight distribution, making this unlikely). --The dramatic difference is found in base-to-camera connection. NexiGo’s webcam is closely locked to the baseplate, permitting 360 degree horizontal swivel but minimal flexibility on the vertical axis. AUROARC’s extended and flexible connector makes both 360 horizontal swivel *and* 180 degree+ vertical axis adjustments possible. If my description reads clunkily here – AUROARC permits notable advantages in ability to adjust camera angle. (3) Privacy Cap While both webcams include a roughly similar privacy cap, optionally attached, AUROARC’s utilizes a reusable (so far as I’ve been able to gather) adhesive that permits you angling the lens cover in any direction. NexiGo’s utilizes a harder-plastic locking feature, meaning it can only be place over the lens in one position, vertically. No deal breakers either way, but [unless the adhesive proves short-lived?], AUROARC’s lack of restriction here offers slight advantage. (4) Instructions and Setup Process --NexiGo includes a 13 ‘page’ fold-out leaflet, offering substantially more detail than AUROARC’s. While most of this information will prove superfluous given the automatic and intuitive setup of either webcam, this is a factor to consider for anyone especially insecure when it comes to the ‘threat’ of new technology ^^ -- the one point on which I’d emphasize benefit here concerns specific instructions depending on your OS (Windows, Mac, etc.) … However, I likely only fixate on this as I’ve just made the switch to Mac. Nothing counterintuitive if typical USB (or USB to USB-c adapter, Macs) setup isn’t unfamiliar. --AUROARC includes a modest 5 ‘page’ fold-out leaflet, covers comparable info to NexiGo’s with a greater degree of generality corresponding to its smaller size. (5) Image Quality Both cameras feature comparable, high-quality specs and offer useful light balancing. While both add some degree of ‘fish-eye’ effect that might be unfamiliar to those who have exclusively used built-in webcams previously, AUROARC’s notably improves here (to an extent where I don’t imagine this effect would be noticeable to the average user). A distinct advantage is AUROARC’s face-beautifying feature! Don’t expect anything hyperbolic like a snapchat filter (there’s an app for that ^^), the feature is really rather subtle but makes an undeniable enhancement to image in real time [with, of course, none of the facial recognition/laggy problems facing snapchat filters]. (6) Extra Features Here, worth mentioning that AUROARC includes a tripod. It’s nothing revolutionary – functional, 6 and 8 inch stand that can be attached beneath the webcam. While NexiGo’s webcam similarly features a threaded port to attach a tripod (compatible with AUROARC’s, incidentally ^^), the webcam does not include a tripod – requiring separate purchase. Though I hadn’t thought I’d use a tripod with a webcam, it’s proven more useful than I had expected! You can, e.g., setup the webcam on a desk without building a stack of items to balance it on for height, then freely move your laptop (as cable length permits) without accompanying motion of camera image – I tend to readjust my laptop’s screen angle often, so it’s been useful to do so without worrying about how this impacts my video ^^ Hoping this is of some use to someone! ^^

I ordered this camera one day and got it the next - super fast delivery! I purchased it for use with video type conference meetings, followed the instructions included for my Mac, and was in business using a variety of the new apps in less than a minute. Simply follow the directions and use your setting to get going. The camera and high quality lens itself is very wide angle, but the image is tack sharp and very clear. It works very well even in low light, and it even has a lens cover for privacy from web pirates! Excellent product at a bargain price - a no brainer investment at this price!!! SSSShhhh.....don't tell the seller!

It came at the specified time, well packaged. Very easy to hook up. Connected the usb plug to the computer, changed the setting on my computer to allow access to my camera & microphone & it was ready in less than 2 minutes. I especially like the fact that you can cover the lens, with the provided piece, & you don't have to worry about a hacker getting access & turning it on.
