Small enough just to cover the macbook webcam

I never used to care about my webcam until I saw my friend covering it. After that, I began to cover it up myself. I would usually find any household objects like a piece of post-it note to cover it. When I found this product, I figured I would try it out. The cover itself is very small and thin. It's quite small that it can be lost easily if not handled carefully. It does warn to keep away from children. There are 8 pieces in a pack, so you don't have to worry too much about having lost one. The cover itself has a blue protective film on the back that is easily peeled. To install it, you peel the back film on. You have the cover moved over to the left and place it over your webcam. I personally tried it on my macbook. It was very easy to install. When I tried to remove it, it was very easy and didn't leave any smudges upon peeling off. So far, it sticks on and does it's job.

A nice way to add extra privacy to your webcam on computer. They are quick and easy to install and stick well in place. If you change your mind, they are also easy to remove. They are thin enough that it does not interfere with closing my Macbook Pro. I really like the extra privacy of being sure that my camera is not showing when I join a zoom call. Instead of relying on the digital buttons to turn camera on/off I can do it manually by sliding the cover over my camera, which is quicker and more reliable. They come in fairly basic packaging with a sticker covering part of the instructions, but it doesn't much matter since they are a great price and are easy to install.

everyone needs one of these!

This is EXACTLY what I needed. I work from home on a laptop, so I am on the laptop every single day almost. We have meetings at least twice a week. About 2 months ago, my company decided that we were required to use the camera on our laptop in these meetings. = (((( I just really don't care for it. Anyhow, there are some meetings in which we don't have to turn the camera on (big meetings). I find though that our chat system is so weird and sometimes I turn it on accidentally!! So now what i do is put a small post it over the camera. I use a post it because it's easy to take off and on. the problem is that I found after about 3 weeks, the post will start just falling off because it loses its stickiness then I have to put a new one up. It's not that big of a deal but I was trying to find a more permanent solution where the camera is always hidden but easily exposed when I need to do my meetings. Then someone told me about these. This is exactly what we all need! If you have a computer or laptop or anything with a camera facing you, you should definitely have this. it's so easy to use. Just slide it left or right for on or off. Even if you don't have meetings, I find this useful because I've watched enough crazy TV shows where it seems people can just hack into your camera and see everything! Anyhow, I originally bought this just for my work laptop but now i use it on my ipad and my kids ipad also. Definitely worth the buy and share.

No More Sticky Notes!

I used to go through many sticky notes to cover the lens and now I'm so glad I found these. They are SUPER thin, and when I first opened them I didn't think they'd be good quality because of this, but that's what makes them so great. They look like a natural part of the device! They adhere very well. I accidentally put it on crooked so I tried to gently and carefully peel it off to try again and it did not come off as easily as I thought it would so I just kept it crooked. The slide moves very easily back and forth. No force needed. I was expecting to hear a click or something when you move it, but it's made pretty simply. For 8 of them, definitely worth the purchase!!!

A little, plastic sigh of privacy

These things are great. Yes, we are still being watched in many ways, but at least I can have a teensy weensy bit of control by covering my computer/phone camera eye when it's not in use. I do feel better about that. I used two of them and will likely need a few more when I replace my devices but otherwise, it was nice to have a few extras to hand out to appreciative friends. They are super easy to install - just peel and stick and unless you are totally inebriated when you put it on, it's hard to mess it up. They then slide easily back and forth ... over your camera's watchful eye and then open again when you need it.... now, if I can just top my neighbor to quit sending his drone to my kitchen window (LOL)

Exactly what I needed!

These WebCam covers are perfect for me. I received a sample WebCam cover from a company at a convention but it is bulky and tacky. I am so glad the WebCam covers that I purchased from here are sleek and blends in perfectly with the black webcam area. I can also use this on my cell phone, laptop, and tablet instead of using a dreaded Post-It note. They fit securely on my devices and make great giveaway trinkets for a friend, family member, or coworker. Excellent price for what I received! I would definitely recommend

Small size makes for a challenging installation

I've only used 3 out of the 8 that it comes with. I like them! For one of them I noticed that the cover is a bit loose so it slides open on its own sometimes but it's not that bad, it could just be that one. It's not the easiest to install because it's so tiny so it's pretty easy to mess up. The margin of error is more than I felt comfortable with but I was able to make it work. This could be difficult for individuals with varying levels of vision and fine motor abilities. I included a U.S. penny in the picture for reference size. Using a piece of tape on the top to help lower the slider over the camera could help.

Quality product, piece of mind and privacy

I love these webcam covers! I have one on my laptop and one on my Android phone. I love that I can easily slide the cover over the camera. I have peace of mind knowing I'm not going to accidentally be seen. I really like the one on my phone because I have hit the emergency SOS a few times in the past and it automatically takes pictures... Not the most flattering pictures in the world! And downright embarrassing. These camera covers are totally worth it just for that! Once the sliding cover came off, probably when I was pulling out of my pocket but I just popped it right back in and it's as good as new. Be adhesion is great, too. My phone in many times a day and the webcam cover has stayed put. I also appreciate having extras for new devices.

Thin enough to let the laptop lid to fully close.

After looking at many options, including laptop camera covers of friends and coworkers, I chose these because they are thin, and you get several for a reasonable price. When they arrived, I was surprised at how small they were, but they did fit just perfectly. They are very thin, so they don't prevent the laptop lid from closing all the way like some others do. Since there is nothing printed on them, it is easy to forget that they are there, so sometimes I forget to uncover the camera at the beginning of video conferences. The only other improvement I can suggest regards the packaging. They come in a semi-rigid plastic pack that is a little akward to use. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

Who even knew this existed!

I got recommended this by a friend, after she saw that I was using a sticker to cover my webcam. I initially put the sticker on after watching the Black Mirror episode "Shut up and Dance" (got really paranoid). The problem with the sticker though, especially with this new pandemic going on and video calls that I have to do, is that it's very inconvenient to stick it back on the webcam and off, and it loses it stickiness over time. I was mind blown when I saw that something like this existed. It works just as advertised, and so freaking convenient! It comes with so many too, so I was able to hand one of these to everyone in my family, with extras. I will update this review if it loses its stickiness.
