Works amazingly, recommend to anyone getting started in laser burning

I bought the 20w setup, it took about 30 mins to put together while watching the video on youtube. Everything came packaged securely and was easy to unpack. I tried lightburn and lasergrbl and both are easy to operate. I was burning attached images same day. I really enjoy this machine and it is fairly priced.

Best laser of the market for the price and ease of use.

The laser works fantastic. We are using it to engrave cheese boards. It is easy to manage and the engraving is accurate. The size of the work surface allows us to engrave a variety of wood boards. This laser is awesome!!

I love the way it turned out on my image making and of course it takes time to learn the system but with all the information online given to you, you can learn and get to work on it immediately.

Impressed

I am pleasantly surprised with this unit. I did not expect the unit to cut as well as it does. I can cut wood and acrylic. If you use black, cast (not extruded) acrylic, it is simple to cut 1/8" sheet. I used 100% power, 100mm/min, and 3 passes. The edges look good! Still trying out the laser engraving. I had a question for support while the unit was being shipped and they answered it within 12 hours on a weekend! I have had nothing but good experiences with these guys and their machine. Great starter unit.

Perfect for engraving large and small wood surfaces!

First of all, do your research before you buy this laser. It is NOT for cutting. This laser is for engraving only. And boy! does it do a great job of that. I've tried it mostly on wood, but it works on dark colored clothes, plastic, canvas (although burnt canvas smells horrible), acrylic, and even tile (with some spray paint pre-treatment. This laser works exactly as advertised and was easy to put together with a YouTube video I found. If you want to engrave wood and plastic, you can't go wrong here. I love mine.

Great Laser for the money would recommend

Great!! Better than a starter laser. 400x430mm workable area. Pretty easy to assemble if you can read instructions and work basic tools. I did try the free software that came with it, but felt it didn’t offer enough options to really do a lot of things so I downloaded the Lightburn trial software (full version to try) and eventually bought that. Quality materials, Very accurate out of the box after setup. Completed one project so far and looking to keep learning on it. I did build a dedicated cart with a 3/4 MDF surface with power strip, and bolted down LED light. I also bought a blower motor from Amazon and hooked it up to a table top dust extractor hood to help vent any smoke (It’s actually very little and way less than expected). Overall extremely happy, I was satisfied enough I went and bought the YAxis cylinder attachment for even more projects.

Simple and User Friendly

This thing is an absolute beauty. Assembling directions could been better but thankfully it has a video to show once you download everything. I am using Lightburn software which has tons of youtube videos to help. This was so some and easy to use. I hope they make a larger one so I can do even more stuff in the future. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in learning to make things for themselves.

Great product for beginner laser engravers!

Being someone who has worked on 3d printers for years, branching out into the world of laser engraving was a pretty large change. I had believed that I would need to change my workflow and worried about settings and so on, but in reality the Ortur is actually one of the easiest (if not the best) entry laser engravers on the market. The diode laser that is used is incredibly accurate and gives a wide range of tint and burn. The X and Y axis are extremely smooth and extremely mobile in comparison to the stepper motors on 3d printers, providing almost unbelievable speed when engraving! The setup was flawless, and whilst i am writing this, I cannot find anything I could consider wrong about this machine. It truly is a beast on paper as well as a beast in action, and I can't wait to get some more projects going!
